I Wish You Would Smile At Me.

Summary:

A party was being thrown to celebrate the new recruits' success in their recent mission. The celebration started nearly as soon as they had gotten back, the drinking started just before noon. By 5pm mostly everyone was drunk except for you and the captain, or at least you didn't think he was drunk.

Notes:

This was just some silly idea that I started writing out and sending it to my very dear friend @nightmare_executioner who some how pulled this out of me.

I do plan on having a part 2 where it gets spicy but for now have...whatever this is.

Chapter 1: I Think You've Had Enough

Chapter Text

A party was being thrown to celebrate the new recruits' success in their recent mission. The celebration started nearly as soon as they had gotten back, the drinking started just before noon. By 5pm mostly everyone was drunk except for you and the captain, or at least you didn't think he was drunk. You couldn't really tell, he seemed the same as always with no obvious signs of intoxication and you hadn't seen him drinking anything but again you were really watching him that closely. You, on the other hand, were slightly buzzed. Still able to make good decisions but you felt a little bolder, more confident.

You sat at one of the hastily put together makeshift tables that were scattered around the common room here and there. You held your beer bottle in your hand,  it was your third one in a rather short amount of time. You took a sip of the beer tasting the high alcohol content as you watched your comrades talk and joke around.

Every now and then you would glance over to Captain Drautos just to see what he was doing, sometimes you could have sworn that you caught his eye but it might just be the booze going to your head. You were a quiet thing, one who preferred to watch and observe than be involved with the festivities. You were perfectly content with sitting alone, sipping on your beer and watching everything that was going on around you, catching snippets of conversations.

As the night went on your 3rd beer turned into your 4th and your 4th turned into your 5th. You stumbled to your feet once you realized the bottle in your hand was empty and you wanted another one. You made it halfway to your destination, that destination being more alcohol, before you were stopped by a rather large presence that had just walked in front of you.

You didn't even look up at the man standing in front of you before you slurred out

"Move, you're in my way."

You  heard the man chuckle, clearly amused.

"I think you've had enough, little one."  The man said with slight affection tinting his voice.

You looked up at him with a pout and a blush quickly burned across your cheeks once you realized it was your Captain that had just stopped you from getting any more wasted and possibly making a fool of yourself, if you haven't already. Your bratty pout was quickly replaced with an expression that you hoped was pleasant and respectful. In reality you just looked drunk.

You watched as Captain Drautos cracked the smallest of smiles, his eyelids drooped heavily and there was a redness to his face. Is he...drunk? You laughed inwardly, there was no way. The idea of Captain Drautos being drunk caused you to smile though, which seemed to cause the Captain's smile to grow in response. He really did have a nice smile, it made his face look a little younger, less battle weary. You suddenly wished he would smile more, particularly at you.

"Come on." Drautos started as he placed his hands gently on your shoulders to turn you around and steer you out of the room

"I think it's time for you to have some water and a little lie down."

You weren't sure where he was taking you but you trusted him, he was your Captain after all, he wouldn't hurt you...at least, I didn't think he would.  Captain Drautos shifted his hands a little on your shoulders, shifting them closer to your throat. You tensed a little as your face and ears burned hotter.

You were so focused on his hands on your shoulders and the way he ever so softly brushed his fingers against your neck that you hadn't realized you had made it to your destination.

You stood in front of the door to his office. You turned your head to look at him in confusion, why would he take you here? Drautos simply gave you a reassuring smile before removing one of his hands from your shoulder so he could open the door. His remaining hand went to the back of your neck to continue to steer you as he walked you through the door.

The lights were still on so you wondered if he had planned on coming back at some point. You took the time to take a quick look around, sure you've been in here before but only a few times and you hadn't stayed long enough to be nosey. Drautos led you to a worn looking couch that had been pushed up against one of the walls of his office to be out of the way. He stood you in front of it and then let go of your neck.

You couldn't help but sigh at the loss of contact but then you felt a gentle hand on your back.

"Lay down, I'll be back with some water."

His voice was so close to your ear that you nearly jumped out of your skin by the proximity but at the same time you could feel goosebumps starting to rise from your skin from hearing his voice so close and so quiet.

Drautos removed his hand by sliding it down your back as he turned to leave the room. You stood there for a moment before flopping onto the couch. It may be worn but it was pretty comfortable. You yawned as you felt your eyes grow heavy. You laid on your side with your arm hanging off the side, you stared at the other side of the room. You let your eyes close, just for a moment, just until Captain Drautos came back, mmm yeah.

Soon you were fast asleep.
