Chapter Text
“Good afternoon, everyone! Lets get this party started!”
Andrew’s computer played. He was watching his favorite group O-LETUS’ recent show. If he was telling the truth, it wouldn’t be his favorite group of one certain member wasn’t in it. That member was Victor Grantz, who had a modeling career out of idol work. Andrew was a huge fan of him ever since the day he saw him up on stage. He was such a big fan that he even had an anonymous fan page for the idol. It had a few hundred followers, but he’d probably have a heart attack if anyone found out that he was behind it. It consisted of pictures, videos, clips, and even backstage things, since Andrew needed as much content as he could get his hands on. It wasn’t in a creepy way though, he only admired the boy. He had signed merchandise from him too, going to every signing that was in town. He kind of hoped that Victor didn’t recognize him every time, since he didn’t want to be seen as a weird stalker, but on the other hand, he kind of wanted the blonde to know how much he liked his work. They even made eye contact in a few shows, which made Andrew’s heart stop. He was sure that it wasn’t on purpose, but he wanted to think that it was. He was currently cropping a clip from their newest show. I wonder what he would think if he knew about this. Andrew thought while editing the video. Victor was probably familiar with fan pages and obsessive fans, but Andrew didn’t want to be seen as one of them. There were other fan pages that went a lot farther with their content, and Andrew didn’t want to be associated with those things. If anyone found out about it, they’d probably assume the worst, and think he was some stalkerish weirdo. But aside from that, he enjoyed going to the shows. He had fun seeing his favorite group in person. He also liked going to signings, even though they made him a little nervous. A few minutes later, he finished editing the video, and posted it on his website. He logged off of his computer, deciding he’d go to the store and check his notifications later. He put on his hoodie, picked up his keys and his phone, and left his apartment. The store was relatively close to his apartment complex, so he decided that he’d just walk. It was a decently okay day, so why not? He lived in a bigger city, so there was a lot of traffic, but he thought nothing of it. He was used to traffic, as he’d been living in his apartment for a few months by now. He finally got to the store, bringing out his phone to see his list. He just needed some milk, bread, and new shampoo. He walked to the bread aisle, picking out his favorite brand, and walked to the milk section. He picked up a gallon, and moved to the hair section. He found the shampoos, and scanned the wall for the type he usually used. As he was looking, there was a familiar face next to him. Oh my God. Victor Grantz was right next to him, also seemingly looking for shampoo. He had a mask on, but Andrew could recognize him from a mile away. Andrew quickly stiffened and turned away, not wanting to embarrass himself. But then he felt a tap on his shoulder. “Um, sorry to bother, do you know where this brand is? I can’t seem to find it..” The blonde asked, showing a picture of a brightly colored bottle on his phone. Was this really happening? “I-Um- I’m pretty sure it’s over there.” Andrew pointed in the direction of the shampoo in the picture. “Great! Thanks, and sorry for bothering.” Victor smiled under the blue surgical mask he was wearing. “It’s really no problem. U-uh also..” The idol turned to Andrew, who had something else to say. “C-can you sign this? Sorry if this is sudden, b-but i’m a fan of yours..” The albino pulled out a notepad. “O-oh! Sure! Was my disguise really that bad..? I thought nobody would recognize me if I put this mask on..” Victor took the notepad and pulled a pen out of his pocket. “No, i-i think your disguise is fine, i just go to a lot of your shows and recognized you. D-do you not like being seen in public?” Andrew found himself continuing the conversation, which was rare for him, especially with someone he was so nervous around. “Not exactly, I just get a little embarrassed when i’m recognized. It’s hard to know what to say other than ‘thank you.’ It’s easier to talk to fans when i’m with the others, since they don’t have as much trouble with talking to people as I do…O-oh! Sorry for saying so much, I didn’t mean to waste your time..” Victor looked to the side. Andrew wasn’t expecting him to be so nervous in person, and he related to the other one on some level. “N-no you’re okay! Don’t worry about it.” Andrew replied, not wanting the other to feel like a ‘waste of time.’ “If anything, i’m the one wasting your time. Sorry.” The albino bowed to the other. “No, it’s quite alright. I never really get to tell people how I feel, since everything I say gets spread everywhere. I know you’re just a stranger, but thanks for listening.” Victor gave the other a genuine smile, handing the notepad back with a signature. “U-Um, you’re w-welcome. And thanks f-for the autograph.” Andrew blushed. “No problem! And thanks for the shampoo too.” The blonde waved to the other, who was dumbstruck. Did that seriously just happen? How? Why? What did he do to deserve that? He was happy though. He hoped he didn’t seem too creepy. He looked down at the signature, which had a little heart after his name. That made Andrew blush even more, even though he’d seen the other’s signature many times before. Andrew went to the checkout, and started walking back home. That seriously did not just happen. He thought on his way home. He didn’t know that Victor was so nervous around other people, being an idol. It seemed a bit odd, but he remembered that all of the signings he’d been to, the blonde was with the other members. But in reality, he was really shy. Andrew thought that made him even more endearing, which was crazy, since he’d already had a whole fanpage for the other. I hope I didn’t make him uncomfortable… he had on a disguise so he wouldn’t get noticed… maybe i shouldn’t have said anything. Andrew thought. But deep inside, he was glad that he said something. The other boy seemed relieved to say what he did, which made Andrew happy too. Maybe Victor would recognize him at his next show.
Andrew could only hope.
