Athena hid behind the door's frame as she watched someone enter her mother's lab. Who was that? She had never seen them before, yet, they looked familiar. She watched them argue from her hiding spot.
The mysterious figure let out a growl. "You can't keep Athena away from me."
Metis let out a hmph. "The court gave me full custody for a reason."
That seemed to anger the figure. "You bitch." They grabbed the katana and stabbed Metis. He looked down at her lifeless body. "Metie? Fuck." He rushed out of the room, leaving Athena with her mother's corpse.
