Koushuu is the type to keep to himself even amongst close friends. He keeps his interactions clipped and easy, only speaking the necessary amount to get his point across; if he even deems a response on his part crucial(very few things deserve his time and energy).
So when his mood permits a burst of speech uncharacteristic of him he finds it extremely irritating -and a little embarrassed- that he’s being completely ignored. "Taku, did you hear me?" Koushuu sets his chopsticks down next to the bowl of rice, his annoyance bleeding into his voice.
When Takuma fails to conjure a reply, Koushuu’s eyes narrow and his lips press into a thin line. He follows his friend’s line of sight, curiosity now prickling at the back of his mind and dampening his irritation. The table across from them houses a few second years that he’s not quite familiar with and some first years he recognizes quite easily, among them Kuki, Asada and-
His face scrunches in aversion.
Sandwiched between Asada and Kuki is Yui Kaoru, flashing his bright and easy-going grin(he's so annoying) as the trio listens enthusiastically to whatever advice or useless inspirational speech the second years serve them today.
“Seriously, Taku? Yui Kaoru?” Koushuu scoffs, the corners of his lips now fully downturned into an impressive scowl (pout).
Takuma finally acknowledges his friend’s plight, his head turning in time to see Koushuu level him a judgmental look. “What?”
“Are you done drooling or do I need to let everyone know we should give you two some privacy?”
A chuckle bursts from Takuma’s lips and Okumura only glares back. "Oh, come on Koushuu, don't give me that look! He' so cu-"
"If you value this friendship, don't you dare finish that sentence."
Takuma rolls his eyes and elbows his friend in the ribs. “Sorry, I don’t share your taste for boys on the taller side.”
Okumura doesn’t dignify that with a response, he has a reputation of utter indifference to uphold after all. Any screaming is done safe and sound inside his mind where his feelings and thoughts are mostly safe (Takuma reads him like a book).
