Kaoru groaned as light beamed in his eyes. He turned away from it, coming in contact with a broad chest. Kojiro glanced down at him with a fond smile and carded his fingers through his hair. A shiver ran through Kaoru as he hummed at the contact.

“Kaoru,” Kojiro crooned. “You gotta wake up.”

“Mmmn. Don’t wanna,” Kaoru grumbled, burying his face deeper into his chest.

Kojiro snorted. “The kids are gonna come in here any minute, you know.”

Kaoru groaned again and pouted. “Nooo. I just wanna sleep.”

Kojiro smiled and kissed his forehead. “Merry Christmas, Kaoru.”

“Shit, that’s today,” Kaoru responded. With an obnoxious yawn, Kaoru sat up on his elbow and glanced down at his mate with daring eyes. “Merry Christmas, Alpha .”

Kojiro growled at him playfully before yanking him onto his lips. Kaoru laughed before kissing him back, moaning into his mouth. Kojiro slipped his hand down his back before cupping his ass making him yelp.

“You idiot!” Kaoru smacked his shoulder. “Don’t even think about it! I am not getting caught fucking you in front of the children again on Christmas day!”

Kojiro faked a pout. “Aw, come on. They’ll be fine.”

“You are absolutely disgusting!” Kaoru laughed, pushing his face away.

Kojiro licked his hand earning a squeal and tackled him to the mattress, showering him in kisses.

“Kojiro, stop!” Kaoru laughed, pushing weakly at his chest. “Ugh! Your breath smells!”

“So does yours,” Kojiro shot back, kissing the mark on his scent gland.

Kaoru snorted. “Asshole.”

The door slammed open, making the pair flinch. “Mama! Papa!”

Before either of them could move, they were tackled by four screaming bodies.

“Whoa! Watch it!” Kojiro bellowed.

He swiftly turned and gathered all four of them into his buff arms. They shrieked in laughter, kicking and squirming as he slammed them to the bed next to Kaoru. Four pairs of golden eyes stared up at him with pure joy on their faces. Kojiro crooned as he kissed his pups.

“Well well well! Look who we have here!”

“Papa! Stop!” the oldest, Isamu, pushed his face away. “No kisses!”

Kojiro glared at him and ruffled his green hair. “Shut up. I can kiss you all I want.”

His twin, Akito, laughed next to him. “I’ll take his kisses!”

“Fine with me,” Kojiro shrugged and showered him with kisses.

Kaoru smiled around a purr at the sight. Their 8-year-old turned and glanced up at Kaoru.

“Morning, Mama!” He grinned.

Kaoru purred louder and leaned over. “Morning, Kazuya.”

He kissed his forehead before moving his pink hair out of his eyes.

“Mama! Guess what today is!” The second youngest, Kaori, sat up and cuddled into his chest.

“Oh? Is today a special day?” Kaoru grinned, pulling Kaori closer and kissing her nose.

“What!?” Akito shoved Kojiro off of him and faced his mother. “You don’t know what today is!”

Kaoru shrugged. “I don’t know. Is it someone’s birthday?”

The four pups stared up at Kaoru in disbelief and Kojiro laughed.

“I’m just kidding,” Kaoru chuckled. “Of course, I know what day it is.”

Isamu sat up and crossed his arms over his chest. “If that’s true, then what’s today?”

“Easy,” Kaoru lifted his chin. “Today’s Easter.”

“Wha- Mama!” Kazuya pouted.

“It’s not easter!” Kaori poked his nose, laughing.

“It’s not?”  Kaoru pursed his lips.

“No, today’s Christmas!” Akito cheered.

“Oh, yeah!” Kaoru laughed. “Can’t believe I forgot.”

Isamu shook his head. “Mama, you’re getting old.”

“What!? I am not!” Kaoru glared.

Kojiro snorted but choked as Kaoru sneered at him. He cleared his throat.

“Well! Who wants to help me make breakfast?” Kojiro asked, climbing out of the nest.

“I do!” Kaori wiggled out of Kaoru’s arms and followed her father out of the room.

Kazuya and Akito followed swiftly. Kaoru glanced at Isamu who was staring at him with a frown on his face.

“What’s that look for?” he reached over and tugged Isamu into his arms.

He growled but let Kaoru coddle him.

“Did you really forget Christmas?” he asked.

Kaoru smiled. “‘Course not, Isamu. It’s a joke.”

Isamu made a face. “So you’re not old?”

“I am far from being old, Isa,” Kaoru shook his head. “I’ll be considered old when you have your own pups.”

“Ew,” he grimaced, laying his head on his chest. “I’m not gonna have any pups.”

“Oh? Is that so?” Kaoru ran his fingers through his green curls. “Why do you say that?”

“Because that means I have to find a mate,” Isamu started. “And that’s gross.”

“What’s gross about it?” Kaoru grinned, trying not to laugh at his son.

“Love is gross!” Isamu glared. “You and Papa are always being gross. It’s annoying!”

Kaoru snorted. “You say that now until you find the perfect person. You’ll be just as gross as your dad and me.”

“Sure,” Isamu grumbled, cuddling deeper into his chest.

The two of them sat there in silence before the door creaked open. Kaoru glanced at the door and smiled.

“Morning, Ichika,” he cooed.

Ichika rubbed her red eyes and walked into the room, her pale blue blanket trailing behind her. She hopped onto the bed and Kaoru reached over to pull her onto the nest. She crawled over and plopped onto his chest next to Isamu. Isamu shifted, making more room and protectively wrapping his arm around her.

“Ichika,” Isamu whispered.

Ichika hummed in response, nuzzling her face into her blanket.

“Today’s Christmas,” he nudged.

“Yay, Christmas,” she grumbled.

Kaoru laughed. “You don’t sound excited.”

“‘M sleepy,” Ichika responded, purring as Kaoru brushed through her pink hair. “Wanna sleep more.”

“You don’t wanna help Papa cook?” Kaoru tried again.

“No,” she pouted. “Sleep.”

“Okay, pup. Go ahead.”

Ichika smiled at her win and promptly passed out. Kaoru nudged Isamu who frowned up at him.

“Go tell your dad I’ll be in here with Ichi. Come get us when breakfast is done.”

“Kay,” Isamu kissed his cheek then rushed out of the room, slipping on his fuzzy socks before righting himself and closing the door behind him.

Kaoru snorted. He sat there relishing in another eventful wake-up call from his pups before grabbing his phone. He smiled at the meme sent by Ainsouke and shot him a greeting. His phone vibrated and he glared at the name.

“What?”

“Morning, Cherry!” Reki cheered.

“Reki, it’s been years. I told you to call me Kaoru,” he sighed, fumbling around the nest for his glasses.

“I know, but it’s kinda stuck,” he shrugged.

Kaoru shook his head. “Merry Christmas.”

“Merry Christmas! Are we still getting together for dinner?” he asked.

“I’d assume so,” Kaoru slipped his glasses on. “Are you bringing Sora?”

“Yeah. I managed to keep him this Christmas,” Reki grinned.

“Well, Kaori’s gonna be happy to see him.”

“Ugh,” Reki rolled his eyes. “Please. Those two are gonna be hard to separate.”

Kaoru grinned. “That’s what happens when your pups imprint on each other.”

“They’re only 5!” Reki exclaimed. “I still can’t believe it.”

Kaoru shrugged. “If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be. Besides, the bond’s already there. Nothing we can do about it now.”

“Reki! Sora’s done eating! Come on so we can open presents!” Langa yelled in the background.

“Gotta go,” Reki smiled. “Tell Joe we said Merry Christmas.”

“Tell him yourself when you get here,” Kaoru chided.

Reki rolled his eyes playfully before ending the call. After wishing a few more people Merry Christmas and ignoring his mother’s messages, Kaoru turned toward the door as Kojiro walked in. He smiled at Ichika and kissed her forehead.

“Breakfast is ready,” He kissed Kaoru. “I made your favorite.”

Kaoru perked up. “You made carbonara?!”

“Mhm,” Kojiro kissed him again. “Come on.”

Kojiro slipped Ichika into his arms and Kaoru shot out of the room. Kojiro snorted at his excitement and slowly followed him. He gently prodded Ichika awake and she stirred with a frustrated groan.

“No! Sleep!” She slapped his hand away.

“Ichika, it’s time to eat,” Kojiro laughed.

Ichika pouted but sat up in his arms, rubbing her eyes. “What are we eating?”

“Carbonara,” he shrugged.

Ichika snapped to attention with a gasp. She wiggled out of his arms and he set her on the floor. Ichika took off, her tiny feet slapping the floor.

“Carbonaraaaaa!” she yelled, running into the dining room.

Kojiro laughed and jogged after her. He helped her into her seat then sat in his. He gazed at his family and smiled brightly.

“Quit grinning like an idiot and eat,” Kaoru teased.

Kojiro rolled his eyes. “Whatever.”

After breakfast, Kaoru made the kids wash up while Kojiro washed the dishes.

“Master Kojiro.”

“Yes, Carla?”

“Your family has arrived.”

Kojiro frowned. “Huh?”

He wiped his hands and stepped out into the hallway, peering through the window. Sure enough, 3 familiar cars stood in the driveway. Kojiro sighed and ran a hand down his face.

“Today’s gonna be a long day,” he mumbled. “Kaoru!”

“What!?”

“My family’s here!”

Kaoru groaned and mumbled a few curses under his breath. Kojiro shook his head as he walked to the front of the house. He opened the door and leaned against the door frame with his arms crossed over his chest.

“You know there’s this thing called a cellphone,” Kojiro shouted. “It’s a device you use to tell people you’re invading their personal space.”

“Oh, shut up, Kojiro,” his mother, Maemi yelled back.

“Kojiro!”

He grinned at the sight of his younger brother. “Hey, Kirito.”

The young beta rushed up the stairs and threw his arms around him. Kojiro hugged him tightly.

“It’s been forever,” Kirito mumbled.

Kojiro made a face. “You saw me last week.”

He shrugged. “Yeah but still.”

Kojiro rolled his eyes as he walked into the house.

“Uncle Koji!”

Kojiro smiled and bent his knees. “It’s my favorite nieces!”

They laughed as they tackled him in a hug.

“Uncle Koji, we’re your only nieces,” the oldest twin, Akari, poked his nose.

“That is true,” he nuzzled her cheek.

“Is that Carbonara I smell!?” the younger twin, Ayame, sniffed the air.

Kojiro laughed in disbelief, running his hand through her green hair. “Someone’s got a good nose. I’ll make you a plate.”

Ayame screamed in delight, then kissed his cheek and ran in the house after her sister. “Kazuya!!! I’m here!”

“Aya-chan!”

“Well, if it isn’t my shitface of a younger brother.”

Kojiro scoffed, standing to his full height. “Yeah, fuck you, too, Akemi.”

His oldest sister grinned like a madman and grabbed him by the neck, leaning their foreheads together. Akemi scented him like she always did when she saw him. Being the oldest alpha, she was a bit more protective of her siblings. Kojiro still found it obnoxiously annoying to this day.

“Akemi, stop babying your brother. He’s literally a foot taller than you,” her husband bumped her shoulder before giving Kojiro a fistbump, then walking into the house.

Akemi let go of him with a sigh and patted his shoulder. “You’re not bad, Koji. Not bad.”

Kojiro stood there with a confused look on his face as his sister walked into the house. “What… is that supposed to mean?”

“Kojiro!”

“Hey, Ma.” Kojiro smiled and leaned down, kissing her cheeks.

“Did you get taller?” she glared up at him. “You eat too damn much.”

Kojiro made a face. “I eat just as much as a regular person should, Ma.”

“Sure, whatever,” Maemi waved him off, walking past him. “Where’s my precious son-in-law? Kaoru! Mama’s here!”

“Nonna!”

“Wow,” Kojiro deadpanned. “Way to pick favorites!”

“Don’t get too pouty over it. You know she’ll be all over you later.”

Kojiro turned toward her voice and smiled brightly. “Hey, Ena.”

Ena returned the gesture and cupped his face. Her red eyes darted over him, studying him. Ena’s the second oldest. She’s the gentle sibling out of all 5 of them. Even though she’s also an alpha, Ena’s still kind and soft to others, more so her siblings.

“What?”

“Nothing,” she shrugged lightly, then stood on her toes to kiss his forehead.

Kojiro blushed as his sister continued to smother him in kisses. “Enaaa, stop it already.”

She giggled giving him one last kiss on the nose before walking into the house. Kojiro huffed, watching her go. “So motherly.”

“Hey, Uncle Koji.”

Eiji, Kojiro’s oldest nephew, walked up to him with his hands tucked into the pocket of his hoodie and a tired smile on his face.

“Eiji? What are you doing here?”

Eiji shrugged and hugged him. “I got tired of living with my dad, so I asked to spend the holidays with mom.”

“Yeah?” Kojiro ruffled his black hair. “Everything alright with your dad?”

Eiji huffed, cuddling deeper into his chest. “No. Not at all.”

Kojiro frowned and glanced down at him. “Do I need to kick his ass?”

Eiji snorted. “I wish. To put it simply, he doesn’t like that I’m an omega. The rest of his kids are alphas or betas and I get treated unfairly.” He shrugged again. “Mom’s fighting him for full custody.”

“I’m sorry, kid,” Kojiro closed his eyes, swallowing down a wave of rage. “You know you can call me whenever right? I’ll always answer and when you do move back, feel free to come over whenever you want.”

“I know,” Eiji smiled. “Thanks, Uncle Koji. You’re kinda the best, you know?”

“I am the best, aren’t I?” Kojiro grinned.

“Mhm. Uncle Kaoru gives better hugs though,” Eiji let him go and walked away.

“Wha- Rude!”

Eiji laughed cheerily and rushed into the house. With a pout, Kojiro started to close the door but paused, noticing a familiar head of dyed hair, trailing up the driveway.

“Miya?”

The teenager tensed and glanced at him. “Oh. Hi.”

“What are you doing here?” Kojiro frowned.

Miya sighed and kicked his skateboard into his hand, walking up to the front door. “I was kind of wondering if I could spend Christmas with you guys, but I think I might be intruding.”

He gestured toward the cars.

“You’re not intruding,” Kojiro took his skateboard. “Come on. My family just got here. We’re gonna open gifts.”

The two of them walked into the house.

“Your… family?” Miya blushed. “Is Eiji here?”

“You mean your boyfriend?” Kojiro teased.

“What!? He’s not my boyfriend!”

“Yeah no, he’s just the omega that you’re currently courting,” Kojiro shrugged.

Miya sputtered. “How did you know that!?”

“I’m his uncle, Miya,” Kojiro smiled. “He tells me everything.”

He frowned and turned away from him. “I… Sorry, I didn’t tell you. I didn’t think he would agree to the courting and I didn’t want to tell you if he rejected me.”

Kojiro snorted. “It’s alright. I get it. ‘M not mad. Besides, it seems you’re doing a pretty great job.”

Miya turned to him with excitement in his green eyes. “Really?”

“Yeah,” he threw his arm around his neck. “I think he really likes you.”

Miya scrunched his nose, cheeks tinting a dangerous red.

“To answer your question, he is here,” Kojiro nudged him closer. “Get ready to meet your omega’s family.”

“He’s not my omega,” he glared.

“Yet.”

Miya sighed as they walked into the kitchen. “I don’t know. We haven’t had much time together in person so I’m not sure how this will go.”

Kojiro watched him peer nervously into the living room. Once his green eyes fell onto Eiji, he visibly relaxed and blushed harder. He also noticed Miya’s subtle changes. Miya’s 17 now and stands to Kojiro’s nose. He let his hair grow out, dying the ends and his bangs a bright green to match the old cat hoodie he used to be obsessed with, and it’s currently resting in a messy low bun. He had a strong alpha aura. Miya said he hates it because it scares people off but Reki and Langa find it hilarious. Kojiro turned, making a plate of Carbonara for Ayame.

“I think it’ll be fine. Sure, physical connections are also important during courting but Eiji’s simple,” he shrugged. “Just don’t scent him in front of his mother. She’ll kill you.”

Miya shuddered. “Right. No scenting.”

“Come on,” Kojiro shouldered him lightly, walking past him.

The two of them walked into the living room. Ayame’s eyes shone at the sight of the plate in his hand.

“Yaaay! Carbonara!”

Kojiro set the plate down on the coffee table as she crawled over to it.

“Aya, you ate before we came here,” Akemi chided.

Ayame glared at her. “Uncle Koji made Carbonara and he said I could have some, so I’m eating it.”

Akemi rolled her eyes. “Fine.”

“She’ll be fine, Akemi,” Kojiro laughed.

“Miya?” Eiji stared up at him with wide red eyes.

“Uh. H-Hey, Eiji,” Miya rubbed the back of his neck. “It’s… nice to see you.”

Eiji quickly stood up and approached him. “What… are you doing here?”

“I didn’t want to spend Christmas alone but I didn’t know your family was coming.”

“Oh,” Eiji pursed his lips. “Are you parents busy again?”

Miya huffed. “Yeah. You know, the usual.”

Eiji smiled gently. He hesitantly reached over and grabbed his hand. Miya glanced down at their hands before meeting his gaze.

“You can… sit with me,” Eiji nodded toward the couch.

“I- yeah, okay.”

Eiji’s smile brightened and he dragged him across the room. Miya followed like a lovesick puppy. Kaoru laughed, wrapping his arm around Kojiro’s.

“Look at him. If he had a tail, it’d be flying all over the place,” Kaoru beamed.

“Yeah, but look at Ena. Her alpha instincts are showing.”

Like Kojiro had said, Ena was glaring daggers into Miya’s skull as she watched her son cuddle up to the alpha.

“Ena.”

Her eyes snapped toward him.

“Be nice,” Kojiro glared.

Ena frowned and crossed her arms over her chest, turning her attention toward the pups opening gifts. Kaoru frowned as he took in Kojiro’s family.

“Kojiro.”

“Hm?” He leaned over and kissed his forehead.

“Where’s Aratani?”

Kojiro blanched and turned toward his family. In order, it was Akemi, Ena, Kojiro, Aratani, and Kirito. Akemi and Kojiro were the only ones married and bonded. Ena’s alpha left her when Eiji was 3, leaving her with broken bond syndrome and a fear of moving on. Kirito was 19 so he was still weighing his options. Aratani was the free spirit of the family, so it wasn’t much of a wonder why she wasn’t here but it still felt weird having the entire family here and not her. Even Kirito came and he hates the holidays.

“Uh. I don’t know,” he turned to his mother. “Ma, where’s Aratani?”

Maemi glared. “She’s in Samoa .”

“Samoa?” Kaoru frowned.

“Doing what?” Kojiro finished.

“Who knows,” Maemi shook her head, fixing her glare onto the floor. “She only calls once every 2 to 3 weeks.”

Kojiro purses his lips. He had to admit, he wasn’t close to Aratani. Even when they were young, she always stayed away from him. She was still family though and she hasn’t gotten the chance to meet Kaori or Ichika.

“You should call her if you’re so worried,” Akemi teased.

“Such a caring alpha, that one,” Ena grinned.

Kojiro groaned. “Oh, shut up. I was just-”

“Papa!”

He flinched and faced Isamu. He was surrounded by shredded gift wrapping. Isamu stared at him with tears in his eyes clutching something in his arms. Kaoru and Kojiro immediately approached him.

“Hey, what is it?” Kojiro wiped tears from his cheeks.

“Y-You remembered?”

Isamu held his arms out and Kojiro glanced at the design tablet in his hands.

“Oh? Do you like it?” Kojiro gave him a wary smile.

Isamu nodded his head enthusiastically before setting the tablet aside and throwing himself onto Kojiro.

“Thank you,” he sniffed, hugging him tight. “I promise I won’t disappoint you.”

Kojiro hugged him tighter and kissed the side of his green head. “Oh, Isamu, nothing you can do will ever disappoint me, mi vida. I just want you to do what you do best.”

Isamu started crying again and Kojiro chuckled, scenting and crooning at him. He glanced at Kaoru who was also crying and snorted.

“Shut up,” Kaoru grumbled.

Isamu was just like his mother, a natural artist. They’ve noticed it since he was little and earlier that year when Kaoru had a showing of his digital art, Isamu hinted at wanting to do the same thing. Kaoru was emotional about it for weeks and boasted and teased Kojiro about his son following in his footsteps. Kojiro didn’t care. Kaori was the pup out of the bunch who liked cooking the most. She’s been leaning slightly toward baking more but Kojiro didn’t mind. It was still the same department.

“Isa?”

Isamu pulled away, wiping the tears from his face to see a teary Ichika frowning up at him. Isamu sniffed and picked her up.

“What’s wrong, Ichi?” he asked, running his hands through her pink hair.

“Why are you crying? Do you not like your gift?” she pouted.

Isamu smiled. “These are happy tears.”

Ichika frowned but nodded. “Okay.”

“Aw. Kojiro, your kids are absolutely adorable,” Ena crooned.

“Aren’t they?” he grinned. “Wonder where they get it from.”

“Not you,” Miya smirked.

Kojiro’s family laughed at him as Kojiro glared at him. Kaoru snorted and ran a hand through his hair.

“Relax.” He turned and kissed his cheek.

The kids opened the rest of their presents and Kaoru cleaned up after them. Kojiro opened a bottle of wine for his sisters and mother then played with the pups with his brother.

“Oh! Uncle Koji!”

“Ow! Fuck, those are my balls,” he rolled over, grabbed Ayame by the ankle and hung her upside down. “I need those, you little squirt.”

Akari shrieked in laughter. “Hehe, you said balls!”

“Kojiro!” Kaoru and Akemi shouted, as the kids giggled at him again.

“What?! She kicked my balls!” he chucked Ayame onto the couch.

“Watch your language,” his sister glared.

Kojiro glared back at her. “Oh, no. I said balls.”

“Not balls, you idiot, don’t curse around the kids,” Akemi huffed.

“Oh, my bad,” he grinned, then faced Eiji. “What’s up, Ei?”

Eiji blushed suddenly before quickly leaving the couch and walking up to him.

“What is it?” Kojiro crouched down.

He glanced at Miya. “Miya’s here. Do you still have that gift we talked about?”

Catching the end of his question, Kaoru grinned and grabbed Eiji’s hand. “Come with me and we’ll grab it.”

Eiji's face brightened and he swiftly followed Kaoru. Kojiro frowned with a smile as they left and walked over to Miya.

“So,” he leaned against the back of the couch. “How’s it going?”

“Huh?” Miya stared at him.

“With Eiji,” Kojiro shrugged.

“Oh,” he blushed and turned away from him. “I… I think it’s going pretty well.”

“Yeah?” He smiled, fondly. “What’s your alpha saying?”

Miya sputtered and glared at him. “Wha- Why are you asking me that?”

Kojiro laughed. “I know you haven’t really accepted your secondary gender but you should listen to your instincts, Miya.”

“I’ll pass,” he grimaced.

“How come?”

Miya sneered in disgust. “If I listen to my alpha, I’ll become like you, an arrogant, flirty, and extremely assertive man-whore.”

Akemi burst into laughter as Kojiro stuttered, a flush on his face.

“Hey! I am a changed man, okay?” He huffed and glared at his sister. “Stop laughing! It’s not funny!”

“You’re right, it’s hilarious,” Akemi teased, laughing harder.

Kojiro grumbled a couple of curses under his breath before sighing and facing Miya.

“First of all,” he flicked his forehead.

“Ow!”

“I wasn’t a man-whore. I was a sexually active man who enjoyed sexual interactions with others. Every single one of my partners were casual and meaningful. I didn’t break hearts, it was completely mutual.”

“Mhm, sure,” Maemi rolled her eyes.

Kojiro whined. “Ma, please don’t.”

Miya cackled next to him but coughed as the older alpha glared at him.

“Second,” He smirked. “Alphas tend to be naturally… horny, to put it lightly.”

Miya blushed.

“It’s okay to feel that way, especially since you’re a teenager.”

“Please don’t give me the puberty talk,” Miya groaned. “I know what my body is going through.”

“Oh?” Kojiro gave him a shit-eating grin. “So that means that you masturbate regularly?”

“Kojiro!” Maemi chided as Miya flushed into his hands with another groan, Akemi and Ena snickering at him.

“What?” He laughed. “It’s a genuine question. Being sexually frustrated as a teenager sucks. I would know.”

“Oh, what, with your pining after Kaoru, of course?” Ena smirked.

Akemi and Maemi laughed.

“Will you stop interrupting me?” Kojiro glared. “I’m trying to have a heart-to-heart with my future nephew-in-law.”

“Oh, god,” Miya tugged his hood over his head and tightened it. “Please stop. You’re embarrassing me.”

The alpha smirked and wrapped his arm around him, pulling him against his chest. “Aw, don’t be embarrassed, Miya. It’s okay, you can say it. His scent drives you crazy, doesn’t it?”

“Wha-” Miya jolted. “Kojiro!”

“You can tell me,” he squeezed him once and continued to taunt him. “What’s your alpha saying? Is it saying that he smells good? Is he telling you to scent him, claim him, make him yours?”

Ena and Akemi watched in amusement as Miya squirmed from the questions.

“Miyaaaa,” Kojiro sang. “You can tell me.”

“Ugh, fine!” Miya shrugged his arm off and shoved his face away. “It’s- I like the way he smells, okay?!”

He huffed and pulled at his dyed ends. “ For fuck’s - he smells like lilacs, sweet strawberries, and-and citrus!” Miya let out a small whine and closed his eyes, leaning his head against the back of the couch, face completely red. “God, it makes me wanna bury my face in his neck and never leave! A-and he’s so much prettier in person, which I didn’t even think was possible but it is . He’s super warm and soft and has the cutest fucking laugh and I think I’m gonna die.”

He sat there panting from his sudden outburst. Kojiro looked at him smugly while Akemi and Maemi gave him knowing gazes. Ena stood up from her spot and gently sat next to Miya, grabbing his attention. He noticed who it was and he sat up straight.

“Well,” She gave him a warm smile. “That clears up my worries.”

Miya frowned, making Ena laugh. She sat closer and cupped his face.

“You’re a good boy, Miya,” Ena’s voice wobbled. “I’ve seen how the two of you interact. Eiji talks about you a lot and sends me screenshots of your talks occasionally.”

“Oh no,” Miya’s eyebrows furrowed. “Nothing bad I hope?”

She shrugged, a hint of mischief in her eyes. “Just you being overly cute and a doting alpha.”

Miya made a noise in between a groan and an embarrassed whine.

“I’m glad that you see him the way I do,” She nodded, tears welling in her eyes. “You’ll be a good alpha for my baby.”

“O-Oh. I- Th-Thanks? I think? I don’t-”

Ena laughed and pressed their foreheads, a common gesture of fondness, affection, and acceptance between alphas. Miya smiled shyly and let her shower him in kisses. After about the tenth one, he wrinkled his nose and glanced back at Kojiro.

“Help me.”

“Meh,” Kojiro shrugged. “I’m good.”

Ena laughed and caressed his cheek. “Sorry.”

“Mom?” Eiji stood there with a large box in his arms. His red eyes darted between his mother and Miya. “What… are you doing? Are you threatening him?”

“And what of it?” she glared at him, playfully. “I’m your mother. I have every right to threaten him.”

Eiji’s shoulders sagged and he groaned. “Mom. Please don’t embarrass me in front of Miya. You promised to be nice when you finally got the chance to meet him.”

“I am being nice,” Ena grinned, letting go of Miya and walking over to her mother. “Just had to give him the shovel talk, you know, as your alpha.”

Eiji pouted as he sat down again. He turned toward Miya with an apologetic look.

Miya smiled. “Don’t worry. It’s nothing I couldn’t handle.”

Kojiro snorted behind him. Kaoru reached over and smacked the back of his head.

“Ow! What was that for?” He glared.

Kaoru shrugged. “Just felt like it.”

Kojiro growled at him and Kaoru smirked, leaning down and kissing him. “Don’t be such an alpha. Your family’s here.”

Miya and Eiji gagged next to them, making Akemi laugh.

Kojiro blushed at his accusation and glared at him. “Shut up, Kaoru.”

“Mama!” Ichika ran up to him with dolls in her hands. “Can you play barbies with me?” She pouted, glaring at the floor. “Akari and Ayame are playing with Kazuya. Kaori is playing with her kitchen and Isamu said not now ‘cus he’s dwawing. I don’t wanna play by myself.”

Kaoru smiled and picked her up. “Yeah, I’ll play with you. What do you wanna play today?”

Ichika beamed in his arms. “I wanna play models!”

“Models it is,” Kaoru kissed her cheek and walked away.

Kojiro watched them walk away with a fond look in his eyes and a subtle rumble in his chest.

Maemi smiled at him. “After all these years, you’re still so smitten with him.”

He faced her and shrugged lightly. “Yeah. Somehow, I fall deeper in love with him every day.”

Ena purred at him and Kojiro blushed harder.

“Anyway,” Eiji leaned into Miya. “I… I’ve been working on this with Uncle Kaoru for a while. I’m not an expert on this like you and him, but I wanted to do something to show that I care about your hobbies.”

Miya lifted an eyebrow as he took the wide but large box. “Oh? What is it?”

Eiji scratched at his reddened cheek. “Just… open it.”

Miya glanced at him in confusion one more time before untying the green bow and moving the lid. His green eyes widened as he stared at it and lifted the wrapped skateboard. It was similar to Kaoru’s old AI board but his was black and green and looked distinctly like a cat.

“Whoa,” Miya muttered. He glanced at Eiji. “You designed this with Kaoru?”

Eiji tugged on the ends of his sleeves but nodded. “Yeah. You hinted at shifting to being an AI skater like him soon s-so I talked to him and came up with a plan. There’s more at the bottom.”

Miya smiled, setting the skateboard down next to him and grabbing a small box wedged in the corner. He opened the second box and blinked.

“Uh,” he lifted a tail and a headband with cat ears.

Kojiro choked on a laugh.

“Don’t laugh!” Eiji blushed. “It-It’s not like that! I just…” He huffed and tugged on his hair. “I know that you really like cat stuff. I also got you a cat headset for Christmas but it’s still in the mail.”

Miya smirked and held up the tail and ears. “And this is for what exactly? I know we talked about foreplay but in front of your mom?”

“Miya!” Eiji shrieked, covering his mouth with his hands and blushing furiously.

Akemi and Kojiro burst into laughter, Ena snickering into her mother’s neck as Maemi grinned.

“You are unbelievable ,” Eiji glared, leaning into his face.

Miya chuckled and licked the palm of his hand. Eiji flinched back but Miya grabbed his wrist and pulled him closer.

“You love me,” he growled, rubbing their noses together.

Eiji blushed, lightly purring back at him, eyes darting back and forth between beautiful shades of green. “A-A little, yeah.”

Miya’s eyes widened at the confession, face burning brightly. “You-You do?”

He smiled sheepishly and glanced away from him. “I-I- Well,” He huffed and turned away from him. “You-You should… look at the rest. It’s, um, it’s your own version of-of Carla. The ears and tails are attached to it. I don’t really understand the gist of it. Kaoru said you’d get it.”

“No way,” Miya stared at the green and grey triangular prism in his hand. “Wait.”

Miya shot to his feet and jogged out of the room. Kojiro glanced at Eiji who was currently trying to control his breathing.

“Hey,” Kojiro reached over and pushed his hair behind his ear. “Relax. It’s alright.”

Eiji let out a shaky breath and nodded his head. “That just happened.”

“You okay?”

He whined and shook his head. “I told him too early. I-I- what if he-”

“Stop,” Kojiro hugged him. “I’m sure he feels the same. Just give it a little more time.”

Eiji sighed but nodded his head. Miya came back into the room with his bag in his hand and paused in front of them, frowning.

“You okay?” He replaced Kojiro, hugging him tightly.

“Yeah,” Eiji buried his face into his neck. “I’m fine.”

Miya chewed on his lip before dropping his voice and pressing them closer. “Can we talk about it later in private?”

“Yeah,” Eiji nudged his nose against his scent gland. “Thank you.”

Miya kissed the top of his head and Eiji let him go. Miya grabbed his laptop, plugged up the prism to his laptop and set to work. Numbers and encryptions flooded the screen as his fingers flew across the keyboard.

“How do you understand all of that?” Eiji frowned, leaning against his side.

Miya shrugged. “No clue.”

Eiji laughed. “Seriously?”

“Yeah,” he smirked. “I don’t even know what I’m doing half the time.”

The screen cleared to his regular background making the prism shine a bright neon green.

Eiji turned to Miya with a glare. “You were saying?”

“Alright, I lied,” he kissed his cheek. “I know exactly what I’m doing.”

“Nerd,” Eiji teased.

“And proud of it,” Miya stuck his tongue out earning a cheery laugh.

He tapped on the keyboard a few times before a male monotone voice spoke.

“Hello, Master Miya. I am Kalon, your artificial intelligence assistant.”

An excited blush painted Miya’s face as he spoke back to it. “Hi! Holy shit, this is amazing.”

He turned to Eiji with a blush. “Thank you for this. My gift for you is also in the mail but I don’t know when you’re gonna get it considering you’re moving back.

Eiji shrugged. “I’ll just have my dad send it here.”

Miya kissed his cheek again before facing Kalon and talking to it again.

“So, Kalon, how much do you know already?” He questioned.

“Miss Carla has informed me of simple information roaming from the Japanese, English, Italian, and Spanish languages to general studies on the human body and more.”

“Miss Carla?” Miya smirked.

Kojiro snorted. “He is such a nerd.”
