Work Text:
The king stepped in his office. The room was filled with the sweet soothing smell of vanilla corchids and the aroma of cocoa. Turns out, someone made it there sooner than he did.
"You're late, your highness." Dark Cocoa Cookie said playfully, still keeping his stern look.
"It wasn't my fault for my grandson's liveliness. He is just way too energetic for his own sake" Pure Vanilla said with a smile.
"He ran off somewhere. telling me that we were playing hide and seek. I haven't even found him yet." He said, taking the seat next to his husband.
"You're gonna break your back one day if you keep running around like that."
"I'm not that old! It's just been a while since I've ran around this much, that's all."
Dark Cocoa chuckled, pressing a kiss on Pure Vanilla's cheek. Him giggling, holding his husband's hand endearingly.
Before they could share a kiss, an unexpected figure fell out of the drawer nearby.
"O-oof! Uh oh! My cover's blown!" Custard cookie shuffled back, before bolting for the door.
Pure Vanilla Cookie stared at the now open door in disbelief, before bursting into laughter. Dark Cocoa huffing, trying to hold back his own laugh.
