Work Text:
Yuu went out to the balcony, waiting for the New Year's celebration to begin. The silence reminded him that there would be no lights or vibrant colors in the night sky. Of course, even after the war, people could not afford to buy fireworks and such stuff. But a new year had a new meaning. However, looking up at that dark blue sky, with its bright stars dancing high above...almost as pretty as the glowing blues of his beloved…now that was a sight to admire.
Mika stood next to him, so close that their bodies slightly touched. He was wrapping the scarf around his neck. Damn, he looked so adorable. Yuu looked at him with a playful smile and Mika noticed for sure: cause he immediately blushed, but stubbornly said nothing. Yuu's fingers toyed around until…oh they were touching Mika's hand. The blond's cheeks burned even more. Certainly not from the cold. He was so pretty in the moonlight. Mika's hand squeezed his and then he looked up: "The sky is so beautiful"
Yuu approached closer, so he rested his head on Mika's shoulder.
"I didn't remember what it looked like" Mika said
"Really?"
"Because in the vampire city there is no sky, you idiot"
Yuu laughed, lovingly rubbing his face on Mika's arm. Oh yeah, he was so in love with an idiot that couldn't even take the time to look up, because he was too busy going after his ass too. Seriously he was super cute. Trying to stick his head inside the scarf like an angry (angel-looking) turtle. But he had still gone out onto the balcony because his Yuu-chan asked him to. Yuu knew it was hard for Mika to say no when he fluttered his eyelashes at him. Mika struggled a little more with the damn scarf, not wanting to let go of Yuu's hand so he eventually managed to. Then Mika looked at him with a victorious smile. Yuu held his gaze and then, standing on the tips of his toes, Yuu leaned over and kissed him.
"Y-yuu-chan…" the blond muttered in the most passionately dense tone of voice Yuu had ever heard in his life. Then he knew. He closed his eyes and prepared himself for the brutal love discharge, because Mika took his face in his hands and left no corner of his skin unkissed. He even kissed Yuu's eyelids with unbelievable gentleness. The boy enjoyed the contact, it seemed that Mika wasted no time in showing all the love he had been holding back for years. Suddenly, when he kept his lips pressed to Yuu's forehead, a flash of lightning illuminated the sky and then...¡Pang! A thunder caused Mika to gasp, but he kept squeezing Yuu against his body and from one moment to the next, they were in each other's arms, in the middle of the balcony. At twelve o'clock.
"It's all right, you grumpy little turtle"
"Shut up" Mika replied by tightening their hug. Yuu's body gave him a pleasant warmth, and the scarf smell like him. Almost all the clothes they had smelled like him. It's not like Mika had a complete obsession with wearing his boyfriend's clothes. But it seemed that their bodies were made to fit together like a perfect and comfy puzzle.
Yuu's hands slowly moved down to his waist line.
"Hey, where are you going?"
"What? Nowhere, I'm not doing anything"
Mika giggled and kissed his neck. His boy's skin was on fire.
"I guess this is the part where you tell me happy New Year"
"I love you"
Mika squeezed him tighter, feeling a huge rush of joy in his heart.
"I love you too, little bun"
Then silence. Barely the sound of Mika's teeth chattering. He was really hopeless.
"Sorry for disturbing our romantic atmosphere but I'm freezing to death. Let's go inside"
Yuu happily sighed
"Yep, let's go"
They separated, except for their hands, which remained embraced together as they both entered and Mika closed the door. The moon was still bright as ever.
"Let's cuddle on the couch"
"Okaay!"
"…"
"You miss being a vampire and not feeling the cold?"
"Nah, I can drink coffee with you"
"You know I hate coffee"
"Haha"
They couldn't wish for anything else.
