Sebastian is woken up by the sound of a scream and trembling breaths.
He immediately reaches for a gun and looks around the bedroom for danger. Finding nothing but their furniture and darkness, he looks over to his partner.
Jim is sitting up in bed shaking and covered in sweat. He has his arms wrapped around his legs, staring blankly at the wall.
"Boss? Jim? Are you alright? Love?"
Receiving no answer he moves closer to his lover.
"Jim, honey, can I place my hand on your upper back?" This time he gets a nod and Jim looks away from the wall to Sebastian.
Moving to put his hand on Jim's back he starts rubbing his hand up and down his back.
"What can I do to help? Do you want to talk? Do you want some hot chocolate? Do you want to just go back to sleep?"
"I want you to hold me. I-if you don't I'll turn you into shoes," Jim mutters while curling into Sebastian's chest.
Sebastian chuckles and moves them so that they're lying down with Jim on top of Sebastian. Sebastian starts playing with his hair.
"All right," Sebastian whispers.
"I love you." Jim mumbles, pressing his face into Sebastian's chest and tilting this head into Sebastian's hand playing with his hair.
"What was that?" Sebastian says teasingly.
"I said, if you died I wouldn't miss you," Jim says, gripping Sebastian's shirt.
"I love you too," Sebastian whispers as sleep takes them both into its embrace.
