Chapter Text
“Oh god,” were the first words that came out of your mouth. You had been aware that this place was huge, but you hadn’t really imagined it this way.
Before you stood Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex, one of the biggest names in the entertainment history.
Today was gonna be a long day.
-
You jogged to the door, hoping nothing would fall out of your duffel bag and get dirty.
While fumbling for your keycard you try taking in the scenery.
Neon lights filled the establishment as the employees were finally setting the place up for today.
You chuckle to yourself.
Where the hell was this place when you were a kid?
And the prices, jeez you couldn’t even imagine.
Finally finding the keycard you managed to open the door, greeted by who you assumed to be your new manager.
Their name tag read, “Vanessa”
“Oh!” You remembered, “Vanessa! I think we’ve spoken on the phone a couple times, I wanted to get here a little early so you could maybe explain things a little more.”
She sighed, “Oh, sure. I can do that. Just be careful with the Daycare attendant, he’s a little… strange.”
You nodded, “I’ll keep that in mind.”
Vanessa face gives you something that you assume to be a smile and beckons you to follow her.
You two roam the halls for a little while, Vanessa is trying to get you to at least have a grasp of the layout of this place when you finally make it to the Daycare.
“Alright, this is where I drop you off, your shift starts in 30 so I’d recommend getting to know your workplace.” She motions towards the Daycare entrance, “Good luck New Kid.”
-
You open the door, greeted with the blinding well lit room that is the Daycare. You go to cover your eyes, stumbling into the room as the doors shut behind you.
You take a good look at the place.
“I can handle a couple hours in here, you’ll be fine there isn’t anything to worry about,” You say outloud, to seemingly nobody.
Hey, where was the Daycare Attendant anyways?-
A loud crash is heard from across the room.
You quickly turn around trying to locate the source of the noise when a strange voice greeted you.
“OH, NEW FRIEND?” A figure ran towards you, tackling and actually knocking you over in the process.
The breath was knocked out of your chest when you hit the—luckily—soft Daycare floor.
“Sunny?” You muttered. (That’s what Vanessa called him, no?)
The animatronic stared, it’s lips in a permanent grin, “YESSIREE that’s me!”
It let out a shrill giggle, sounded like the thing would break its voice box if it had gone an octave higher.
Sunny hovered above you waiting for a response.
“Ah, good. Um, I’m the new Daycare Assistant that’ll be joining you for work. It’s nice to meet you Sunny.”
Silence.
You lay. Debating your next course of action you decide to go for it. Looking up at his face you sheepishly ask, “Do you mind getting off of me?” Trying to be polite as possible.
At first there is (again) no response from Sunny, but eventually something in him clicks.
“OH DEAR I’M SO SORRY!” He immediately jumped up and off of you, “I DIDN’T MEAN TO SCARE YOU OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT!!”
Sunny continued to ramble on about how sorry he was when you interrupted him.
“Hey hey it’s ok Sunny!” You reassured him, “It’s alright, you were excited that’s all!“
You chuckled nervously hoping this would calm him down, and it seemed to.
Sunny let out a soft giggle, and reached out his hand.
”I think we need a proper introduction,” He mumbled sheepishly, “My name is Sunnydrop, but everyone calls me Sunny.”
You smiled and took his hand, “Nice to meet you Sunny.”
Maybe today wasn’t gonna be that bad.
