Work Text:

“Please baby, let me explain.”

A loud bang of the pantry door could be heard along the 16th floor after the most sought after bachelor of the company had slammed it hard while hurriedly running after his secretary .

And if the employees heard the baby remark that was blurted out by the manager, he couldn’t care less anymore.

“Myeon, please.” Sehun begged as he watched the secretary pour the newly-brewed coffee in a pink bunny mug to the sink. “Let’s talk baby, please.”

Junmyeon turned around after he put the empty mug to the counter and stared at his supervisor. His boyfriend is so stunning when he’s begging. He thought. But he shrugged it off fast because he’s supposed to be mad now. No amount of handsomeness should be distracting him right now. And no, he didn’t have a begging kink.

Really.

“Listen to me baby, please.” The manager repeated.

The smaller man rolled his eyes, avoiding the gaze of the gorgeous man in front of him. He was trying really hard not to fall on his boyfriend’s charm for the nth time again.

“No! I’m tired of doing what you say.”

Sehun sighed.

“You always order me to do this, to do that. To print this, to print that.” The secretary even tried to reenact the scenes he had in mind, casually imitating his boss whenever the latter tells him to do something. "You always tell me to schedule you a meeting and then quickly asking me to change it because you don’t want to have a meeting at 1 in the afternoon because it’s your nap time when in reality it’s really just our babe time. Then you always instruct me to make you a cup of coffee because you like the way I do it compared to those expensive-barista-made coffees outside.”

“Baby…” Sehun cut him before he added something. “That’s your job.”

Junmyeon thought for a while. "Well..."

“Well, except for the last one. But baby you know how much I love the way you make my coffee.” Sehun said as he averted his gaze on the sink where Junmyeon poured his supposed coffee for that day. Poor coffee.

“But still…” Junmyeon stopped for a second before he continued. “And now you want me to listen to you? That’s not part of my job description.” The small man sassily said as he walked past Sehun, ready to leave the pantry they were currently at.

Sehun came near Junmyeon even though his boyfriend kept on avoiding him. He caught the latter’s soft hand before he could step out of the pantry and gently squeezed it together with his own. Thankfully, Junmyeon didn’t protest.

“You just need to listen to me, baby. You don’t need to do anything.”

Junmyeon didn’t answer. Instead, he stared at Sehun with burning eyes and it made his boyfriend weak to the knees. Where did Junmyeon’s sparkly eyes go? Sehun thought.

“I’m not cheating on you.” The supervisor started. He sighed when he noticed that Junmyeon rolled his eyes again, looking like he wasn’t convinced. So he pulled the man closer to him which made them look like they were hugging.

“Let go of me!” Junmyeon complained, but for someone who’s complaining, he wasn’t really trying. Sehun smells so good. How can he let go?

“Baby…” The manager smoothly said to his ear which made him utter a soft moan. “I can’t do that to you.”

The secretary just let his supervisor hold him in his arms. He was so close to crying and Sehun could sense that. “Why are you still talking to him?”

The manager breathed, still holding onto him. “He’s a friend.”

“Yeah. That’s what every cheater would say.”

Sehun held him tighter. “I’m not cheating, baby. Please, believe me.”

“Then why were you smiling like an idiot when you were talking to him?”

If Sehun wanted to punch the air for the hundredth time that day, he didn’t let Junmyeon notice it. He knew he needed to explain. He can’t tantrum right now. A sulking Junmyeon was enough.

“You used to look at me like that.” Junmyeon’s voice almost broke.

Sehun closed his eyes for a moment, and then opened them again. He wasn’t really cheating, for bunny’s sake! He was just talking to his college friend, and ex-boyfriend , Jongin, via video call, inviting him to come to his wedding when Junmyeon suddenly came to his office, bringing him his coffee.

“Am I not looking at you like that anymore?” He softly asked Junmyeon.

His small boyfriend looked up to him. “No!”

“Wha—”

“You look like a hungry lion everytime you look at me now.” Junmyeon whined. “All your stares towards me nowadays are all lustful.”

Sehun smiled at that. He wanted to pinch his boyfriend’s cheeks.

Cute.

“Don’t you like them more?” Sehun teased.

“Well,” the small man thought for a while, “...I do.”

It earned a smirk from Sehun.

“Those stares are only for you, baby.” Sehun assured, teasing his boyfriend while nipping on his ear. “I could give everyone my idiot smile but you…”

Sehun’s hands travelled from Junmyeon’s lower back to his cheeks down there and roughly cupped it.

“...you are the only one that could have this.”

When Junmyeon looked up again at his boyfriend, true to his own words, Sehun was daringly staring at him, looking like a hungry lion that’s ready to take its feast.

And by feast, he meant Junmyeon.

“Jongin is getting married.” Sehun started. “You know Kyungsoo, right?”

“The cook?”

“The chef, silly.” He flicked his boyfriend's nose.

Junmyeon groaned and Sehun smiled. He knew they were getting there.

“He and Kyungsoo are getting married next month and he wants me to be there.”

“What?” Junmyeon asked. He wrinkled his forehead in confusion.

“Yes. That’s just it, baby. I’m not cheating on you. We’re not cheating on the both of you.”

“No, I mean. You’re exes.” The secretary added.

“Yes, and?”

“It’s awkward!” Sehun was startled by the sudden clamor. “And that Kyungsoo guy agreed?” Junmyeon shook his head no. “Tsk, tsk, tsk.”

Sehun’s gaze shifted from dirty to soft. Junmyeon didn’t really fail to turn his world upside down.

“We parted amicably, baby.” Sehun softly said. “And we remain friends, you know that.”

“But still.” The secretary said coldly. Maybe stubbornness was Junmyeon’s breakfast that morning.

“But still, you’re still my baby. Nothing could change that even if I do attend my ex’s wedding.”

The smaller man looked at him.

“He also wants me to bring you.”

Junmyeon blinked his eyes. “H-He, I—, he knows about us?”

Sehun nodded.

“I-I thought you don’t want anyone to know?”

“Inside the office, yes. Because I don’t want our colleagues gossiping about us. About you, especially.” Sehun stated. “But now I don’t care if they will know. They probably know by now after what I did. I never chased after an employee before.” He explained. “But my friends knew.” He then added.

“Your friends what?” The shock on Junmyeon’s face was apparent.

“My friends already knew.”

“What the fuck, Sehun?”

“They even wanted to meet you.”

“What the fuck?”

If they weren’t in the office right now, Sehun would probably kiss the heck out of Junmyeon to shut him up. They even probably over the break time period but that was the least of his concern now. He’s a boss anyway. He can do what he wants.

“I thought, I thought you—”

Sehun couldn’t take it anymore and so he placed a quick peck on Junmyeon’s lips to shush him up.

“You thought I’m hiding you from the world?”

Junmyeon just looked at him, almost teary-eyed as he nodded.

“You thought wrong, baby.”

“But, but-”

“Shhhhh, no buts, baby.” Sehun put his pointing finger on his boyfriend’s soft and plump lips he just kissed earlier.

“I’m just a secretary.”

“You are my secretary.” The manager said, emphasizing the word my .

Junmyeon halted from him, still sulking. “Exactly. I am your secretary. You are my boss.” He stated, mocking the way Sehun had said the possessive pronoun from his sentence a while ago.

“Your friends wouldn’t like me.”

“Who said that?” Sehun asked, curiously.

“Me.” Junmyeon supplied. “I’m not like you. I’m not like them. Your friends will think that I’m just a fucking gold digger. And they will hate me when they see my hit tweet on Twitter about eating the rich.”

“How many likes did that gain again?”

“45!” Junmyeon proudly said.

Amazed, Sehun just smiled at his boyfriend’s accomplishment . “Wow, truly a hit tweet. Anyway, I don’t care what they would say.”

“I do care, Sehun.”

Sehun immediately butted in. “You give me everything I want.”

“Exactly. Because I’m your secretary.”

“And everything I need.” Sehun added.

“That’s my job.” Answered the secretary.

“And everything I ask you to.”

Junmyeon rolled his eyes again. “Well, yeah, because I’m just one of the million people who are slave of the system so I need to do what you say whether I like it or not—”

“Marry me.”

“But I’m not sucking your dick in your office again, we almost got caught the last time— wait what?”

“Marry me, Kim Junmyeon.”

Junmyeon almost fell to the floor when he heard what his boyfriend had said.

“S-Seriously, Sehun?” He asked, almost breathless.

Sehun knelt, a different set of feelings hit him suddenly. He really wanted to do this a long time ago but maybe this was the perfect timing to do so. “I love y—”

“INSIDE THE FUCKING PANTRY?!??!?!!?"

Notes:

Don't you just love a sassy Junmyeon?

I do.
