Work Text:
When River went to Boston, she became a member of the Gardner Museum. She didn’t care for the larger museum nearby, that was boring. River knew she’d rather travel to see an artifact than pay to see it behind glass. Maybe It was easier to steal too, if she felt like it.
But the Gardner was special, felt exciting. Or it would be soon.
She picked up the thieves as they cased in early 1990. Her plan was to steal from them and keep the paintings safe in the future.
River hasn’t returned them yet, but she will, some day.
