Work Text:

"Sunshine~ Where are you?" Jisung giggles peeking around the corner hoping to catch sight of Felix, he'd been attempting to give him a bath but the little decided now was the perfect time for a round of hide and seek. He hears the sound of whining confusing Jisung until he sees Changbin approaching with Felix held in his arms, so much for hide and seek. He's got to say, he was rather thankful. Felix had been a handful tonight, running around avoiding his caregivers who were most likely just trying to help him with something, being hyper-active which wasn't exactly a bad thing, per se, it was just exhausting.

Felix pouts as he's handed back over to Jisung, "No bathtime," He whines shaking his head so fast that Jisung is almost certain that he'd be seeing stars for the next hour, though despite saying he didn't want bathtime, he still cuddled up in Jisung's arms not kicking as he had been with Changbin.

"I put duckies in there Lix," Jisung brings up remembering the little yellow ducks he'd found stashed away, unopened at the bottom of their cupboard, he supposes it was a gift at one point that they'd completely forgotten about.

The little tilts his head adorably, "Duckies?" He grins pointing to the doorway, "Bathtime with duckies!" It was almost amusing at how fast his mood would change from reluctant to impatient. Jisung didn't mind, it just made his job easier. He'd been tasked with getting him washed up and changed for bed, any other day it wouldn't have been that hard but today Felix had had a tiny bit too much coffee when he was big but it just enhanced his already bubbly, playful persona when little.

Felix stayed in the bath for a while, playing around with the toys he'd collected through the years such as the plastic ship that splashes out water as it moves. Jisung never minded letting Felix have a lot of the toys in the bath, the only time it ever really annoyed him was when the water that was supposed to be in the tub made it anywhere else. Entering the room with the sole purpose of giving Felix a bath always ended up with Jisung looking as if he were the one that had been dunked in with all his clothes on.

Felix would laugh, Jisung laughed through the pain and the uncomfortable feeling of soggy clothes sticking to him. He loves Felix, the wet clothes were just a downside.

"Look Sungie," Felix scoops up a puddle of bubbles into his hands and flicks the foamy substance onto his face with a loud laugh, in Felix's defence, he believed Jisung looked quite good with a bubble beard.

The caregiver blinked the water out of his eyes leaving the bubbles to drip down onto his joggers, "I think Lixie should have one too!" Jisung lets out an exaggerated gasp as he layers some bubbles onto Felix's chin, a lot less extreme than his own. The little giggled striking a few poses before removing it, the rest of the bathtime continued a little like that, with a lot of water and splashing. Jisung would be lying if he said he wasn't glad that it had come to an end, watching over Felix when no water was involved was more his forte.

"Oh, Hyung!" Jisung calls as he walks up to Chan who looked him up and down, head to toe, wondering what on Earth happened for Jisung's hair to be drenched as well as his clothes, "Could you do me a big favour?" He grins standing there with Felix who was swinging their arms in all sorts of directions, it looked borderline uncomfortable but Jisung never budged.

Chan rolls his eyes playfully, "Come on buddy," He smiles taking Felix's hand knowing Jisung just wanted to get changed as soon as possible, Chan was happy to take Felix into his own hands.

"Channie wan' play?" Felix asks rocking back and forth on his heels with concealed excitement after Chan had dressed him in his favourite onesie, he'd calmed down significantly since earlier.

"I promised I'd help Binnie with something," Chan apologetically frowns, "But I'm sure one of the boys would be happy to play with you, I think Hyunjin is waiting for you," Chan watches as Felix runs off to find Hyunjin who, to Chan's knowledge, was sitting on the couch bored out of his mind. He was always happy to play with Felix whether it be simply colouring in or playing chase in the dorms. The latter being Minho's pet peeve, the consistent fear of someone tripping over took away any fun the game had to give.

True to his word, Hyunjin lit up at the sight of Felix skipping on over, "Jinnie!" Felix cheered jumping into his personal space, "Jinnie play?" He tilts his head to the side cutely knowing it was everyone's weak point, it was like his unfair advantage.

"Of course," Hyunjin beams, "What did you want to play sunshine?"

Felix thinks about it before coming to the conclusion that tag seemed like a good idea, Minho wouldn't be over the moon but oh well. Plus, Minho wasn't exactly here right now. What Minho didn't know wouldn't hurt.

Seungmin pokes his head out from the kitchen, he'd been preparing their dinner when he'd heard the familiar sound of thumping feet hitting the floorboards once again. He understands why Minho didn't like Felix (or anyone) running around the dorms for many reasons; Seungmin personally didn't like it because of the risk of someone getting hurt but also because they were fast which meant a lot of bumping into each other. It wasn't too detrimental to their wellbeing but Seungmin always had the fear that he'd be holding something delicate and then either Felix or the member chasing him would cause it to fall and break. It had never happened but there was always a risk.

He brushes it off knowing that everything would be okay and he was just overreacting, he has more important things to take care of like carrying the dishes to the table. There had to be at least 10 plates that needed transporting over to the table, he'd already done five in the amount of time Felix and Hyunjin had taken their 3rd lap of the dorm.

Right, dish number 6.

Seungmin hums along to the radio as he holds the plate full of vegetables in hand walking over to the table, not overly focused on his surroundings as he glances back to check how much longer was left on the timer.

Bad idea.

As he turns back around all he saw was a blur run towards him followed by a loud smashing sound echoing off the walls as all the vegetables surrounded his feet almost mocking him, thankfully Felix hadn't fallen due to Hyunjin only being a couple of steps behind. This is why Seungmin hated running in the dorms.

He takes a sharp breath in trying to conceal his anger, "Felix, could you give me some space to clean this up?" He calmly says but if his face was anything to go by, he was far from calm. Felix didn't move, instead, he attempted to help clean up the food splattered across the floor but it just sort of smushed it more together.

Hyunjin cowered behind seeing Seungmin so...Aggravated was never a great situation to be in, "I think we should leave Seungmin be darling, come on," He picks Felix up seeing the hurt expression on the little's face, no longer full of life but rather ashamed of his actions. He seriously did try to help though...

"No," He whines trying to escape from Hyunjin's grasp, "Wan' help clean," Felix tries to wiggle all while whining loudly to be put down, ear-piercing whines were enough to drive anyone insane let alone someone who was already pretty irritated with a headache that was just worsening with all the noise.

"Felix, please!" Seungmin shouts getting both Hyunjin and Felix to stop moving in an instance, the silence that followed was suffocating, the tense atmosphere surrounding the three of them grew thicker second by second. "Give me some room," He grits out coming to the conclusion that, yes, the vegetables that he'd spend ages preparing were now nothing more than a pile of mush on the ground.

This time when Hyunjin tried to take Felix away, he didn't rebel. As they exit the kitchen, Felix breaks down finally letting the tears pitifully flow down his cheeks. Images of Seungmin shouting at him resurfaced making him cry even harder attracting the attention of every other member in the dorm.

"What's going on, what's wrong?" Jeongin frowns having been in the shower for the past half hour, last he knew Felix was running away from Jisung but this was a whole turnaround. Changbin stood beside him equally as confused, he assumes Felix had just fallen over but that didn't look to be the case.

"Hyunjin?" Chan stared at him expecting some sort of explanation as he took Felix into his own arms attempting to calm him down but it wasn't all too effective.

Hyunjin stared towards the kitchen quietly explaining what had happened, Minho had entered the dorm halfway through the explanation internally sighing at the sequence of events. Felix continued to cry and cry for what felt like hours but in reality, it had only been ten minutes.

"Lixie sweetheart, he doesn't hate you," Minho tries but Felix was adamant that Seungmin now hated his guts, "He's just had a bad day that's all," Minho explains, he didn't agree with Seungmin losing it at Felix for a simple mistake but he understands his frustration. After all, he had been working on their dinner for well over an hour.

"Minnie hates Lixie," He sobs hiding his face in Chan's hoodie, "Hates Lixie," He repeats over and over again breaking everyone's hearts, even with Changbin reassuring him that Seungmin would come around, it didn't work. Felix didn't believe him.

Though, he did come around. Of course, he would. Seungmin adored Felix, big and little, he was the brightest ball of energy who made the room full of life as soon as he entered. Felix was perfect in every way.

All while the boys tried to calm down a distraught Felix, Seungmin had been wiping away the remnants of broccoli off the floor feeling the guilt take over his body. He hadn't meant to shout at him, he was only trying to help. With the endless whining and all his hard work going to waste, he'd accidentally snapped. If he could take it back, he would.

"Felix?" He quietly says as he enters the room fiddling with his hands, "I'm really, really sorry for shouting at you. I didn't mean to," Seungmin apologised struggling a little with his wording, he'd never found it overly easy to apologise moreover when he had 6 other men watching his every movement. Felix watched Seungmin with his red, teary eyes trying to work out if he hated him or not.

"Minnie hate Lixie?"

Seungmin deeply frowns shaking his head, "Of course, not baby, I could never ever hate you," He wholeheartedly says while he takes Felix away from Chan in favour of hugging the little, Felix strived off hugs and if anything, Seungmin was going to give him all the hugs in the world.

"Sorry for running," Felix says cuddling up in Seungmin's arms satisfied that he didn't hate him, "Won't do it again,"

Seungmin runs his hands softly through the little's hair, "Don't apologise, angel, it wasn't your fault. I should've been paying attention to where I was going,"

Felix apologises again ignoring what Seungmin had said, "Minnie cuddle tonight?"

Seungmin did cuddle that night and all night. He'd feel guilty for a good week or so but he made sure to buy the little the biggest plushie he could find in the shop.

In conclusion, Felix is the embodiment of sunshine and Seungmin was simply whipped for him as were his 7 other caregivers...
