Chapter Text
After throwing her bookbag on the lounge by the front door to their shared apartment, Alex walks into the living room and stands directly in front of the couch and subsequincily her girlfriends, who were lucky enough to have their winter finals scheduled earlier in the week.
Releasing a pent up sigh that she has held all day, Alex declares “I have decided that I want to do something a little different for the holidays this year. I don’t know what, but I want to make the most of our three weeks with no classes.”
“In that case you’re in luck, because I just got Maggie and I the greatest gig and you can get in on it too if you want!” Lucy says as she sits up, a mischievous glint settles in her eye.
“Greatest Gig?” Alex hesitantly asks knowing her girlfriend this could mean anything. “We are gonna be Christmas elves in Santa land at the Midtown Mall!” Lucy exclaims excitedly
“Whaa... that’s..what?” Not expecting that at all Alex looks to her other partner on the couch, the sane one.
“I know what you’re thinking Alex, but me and Luce walked through the mall today and saw the little village. It actually looks like it could be fun.”
“It’s gonna be great, please say you’re in! Are you in?” Waving Maggie off Lucy gets up off the couch bouncing on her toes towards Alex to give her a kiss. Not to try and sway her. No she wouldn’t try that.
“Come on, It’ll be more fun if we all did it together” Maggie gets up and joins in
Taking only a few seconds to make up her mind “Sure, yeah”
When she thinks back to this moment, she should have thought about it a little more but Lucy said please and gave her a kiss...
“Yay!” Lucy jumps up and down clapping all the while. “I’m gonna look so hot in that costume.” She excitedly skips away to call the casting director to get Alex on the list.
“I’m gonna be the best Jewish elf ever,” Alex says to a smirking Maggie who finally gets to kiss her girlfriend properly now that Lane is preoccupied.
