The first time Yoongi saw Namjoon, it was a hot summer day and there's few customers that he noticed a guy who is silently working while drinking the coffee he ordered. Yoongi admits that he looks cute with his round glasses which he forgets on the table of the cafe sometimes. He's got silver strawberry hair color that really suits him, he was busy with the papers spread out in front of him.
He found out that this guy named Namjoon, thanks to the notebook he forgot on the counter last week. Well, this guy is quite interesting, he keeps on coming back to do his paper work or just reading a book and he's a little bit clumsy. He spilled so many drinks and Yoongi had to clean it and yeah, he is forgetful.
"Staring at customer is rude" he looks to his side just to find out who the hell disturb him from getting inspiration at this boring Monday.
"I'm just getting the energy, " he replied and get back what he's doing.
Namjoon is currently reading a book, he looks so calm.
"By staring at the customer. You're weird"
"Look who's talking. Why are you here anyway? You're not working here Jimin" he says without breaking his gaze to Namjoon.
"I'm bored so I visited here" He can feel his friend is pouting "It's been weeks since you started talking about that guy. What if-- I don't know hmm talk to him like a normal person do when they are interested to a person?"
"I'm not a normal person" Yoongi sighs and finally look at his friend "He just looks so--
"Cute and his dimples when he smiles" His friend finish the sentence for him, he rolled his eyes. "Hyung, you've been describing him for months so I already memorized it"
"Namjoon's smile completes my day" he said while fantasizing like a teenager.
"Namjoon? You mean that guy?" Jimin said pointing his finger.
"Yah! Stop that and please lower down your voice"
"What the hell Hyung? You're now a stalker?"
"I'm not. It just happened, he accidentally left his notebook here" He explained how he found out the name of this dimple guy but Jimin didn't believe him and called him weird again.
"You're lucky Seokjin Hyung is your boss or you will be fired"
"You're lucky you're his friend or I would literally kick you out of here and banned you" Seokjin is the owner and a friend of Yoongi, he personally asked him to work with him when he was planning to open his business and since he has experienced during his college days, he accepted it.
Moon Café is a freshly opened coffee shop near a university that was created and managed by his boss Kim Seokjin. They have been friends since college, so he understands how special this shop is to his boss because Seokjin would talk to him about starting the business when they were still in college.
"Rude. I'm a customer too, okay?" He scowled at him. "You should treat me right"
"I refuse"
"If I'm your boss I---"
"Ohmygod he's coming here" he panicked when he saw Namjoon stand up from his seat and walking towards the counter.
He might order another drink, he composed himself first and ask Jimin to leave him which his friend did.
"Uhm hi can I get another coffee?" Namjoon finally arrived in front of Yoongi.
"Of course. Anything you want aside from coffee?" He asked and smiles at him. He wants to be look cute in front of him without him noticing it.
Namjoon also ordered a pie and went back to his seat. Yoongi starts making the coffee, he makes sure to add sugar as per Namjoon request.
Now, the first mission of Yoongi is to serve his order without embarrassing himself. He can do it; he maybe failed the first time he served Namjoon but he's a strong gay that can act normal in front of his crush.
"Here's your order" Yoongi almost cringed when his voice suddenly changed in front of Namjoon.
,i> Damn! Why do I sound like that? Ew.
"Enjoy your time here" Yoongi says and offer him a smile, he made sure it's his gummy smile, his friend said it's the cutest smile they saw.
"Oh, thank you" Namjoon replied and Yoongi almost drop what he was holding when he smiled.
Ohmygod dimples. He almost said it loud, before he does anything stupid, he bows and left him. Letting out a sigh he didn't know he'd been holding since, Namjoon is the only person who made him really nervous.
Hours passed and Yoongi got busy serving customers, it's really amazing how the cafe being recognized by many people now unlike before. He stretches his body when he's done making the order of the last customer. He looks to a specific table and found it empty, well dimple guy already left and he hadn’t noticed.
Yoongi was busy organizing the cups when Seokjin called him.
"What I heard about you stalking our customer?" Seokjin crossed his arms and wait for him to answer his question.
"Fucking snitch" Yoongi whispers. "Hyung, I was not stalking him I swear"
"And Jimin said you were staring to this guy? Wait, what his name? Manjoon?"
He rolled his eyes "It's Namjoon and it was just coincidence that I got to know his name"
"Ah right. Anyway... " Seokjin narrowed his eyes "stop being a creep, I didn't put it to your job description"
"I'm doing my job"
"But stalking your customer to know their name isn’t"
"Hyung, I told you it was coincidence, he forgot his notebook on the counter" He argued.
"Fine! fine! Whatever. Just being careful or he might stop visiting here because you're being a creep"
Seokjin left him after giving him lectures. It's not his fault that dimpled guy simply caught his attention. On the other hand, he understands that his Hyung is worried, and he understands that having a crush on a regular customer is strange, but it's not illegal, so Yoongi will continue to fantasize about his love life with Namjoon.
When Yoongi went home, he feels empty. He doesn't have any roommate, and he wanted to get a dog but was scared he wouldn't be able to care for it because he works all day. That's why, he accepted the work that Seokjin offered him personally, with his friends working with him, it distracts him a lot.
He wanted to have a partner, had a long conversation with Hoseok, his best friend and Seokjin's boyfriend, he always reminds himself that time will come he will meet a partner that will accept and love him for who he is. His friends tried to set up him in a date but he always refused because he wants to meet them by chance.
He's lying to himself if he says he doesn't get jealous when he sees his friends with their lovers, of course he is happy for them but he wants to experience those too. He wants someone to welcome him with a hug, or comfort him when he's sad or happy, he wants those but it takes time. He doesn't know when but he's hoping.
After he showered, he goes straight to his cold bed, wrapped the blanket to his body. His mind went to Namjoon, actually his friends are right that he thinks about him and his cute dimples even though Yoongi is still a stranger to him but he thinks if he ever has a courage to him, will they end up a couple? It's a weird thinking, he has crush on Namjoon for like-- 5 months? or 6 months already but he never has the courage to talk to him except when Namjoon is ordering a drink or when he serve it to his table.
He sighs deeply. He can't stop overthinking every night.

Yoongi was startled awake by the sound of his alarm clock he taps it to stop and groaned. He still wants to sleep but he has to work. He went out of his bedroom to cook breakfast for him.
After he did his morning routine, he goes to the cafe, it is walking distance and he's glad he's early it means he didn't need to walk in rush hour. When he arrived, Seokjin is already inside of the cafe.
"Good morning Hyung!" He greets and helps him to clean the tables and chairs before they open.
It is everyday routine, wake up early, go to work, then go home. His life is not boring at all, well for him, he loves his work and he loves being with friends so he is contented now.
They are still organizing when a customer enters the cafe.
"Hi, I'm sorry. Were--" Yoongi stopped in his track, the customer is one and only Namjoon who looks a lost child in front of the door. "--close"
"I know. I was early sorry. Uhm" Namjoon just standing there, he doesn't know what to do so is Yoongi, he is staring at Namjoon who is looking at the floor when Seokjin interrupted them.
"Good morning. We are still close but since you are already here, you can come in" Seokjin welcome him with a warm smile and Namjoon smiled back. Yoongi almost melt when he saw the dimples, damn he really like it.
"Thank you" Namjoon goes to his usual spot, Yoongi watches his movements when Seokjin nudges him and remind him to go back to work.
So, he grabs his little notebook and went to the dimple guy "Hi, do you like to order now or?"
"Oh. Can I order now? I'm really sorry to disturb" Namjoon bows at him.
Cute. Yoongi thinks and asked what drinks he wants. Namjoon ordered the same thing, black coffee with a lot of sugar. Then, Yoongi goes behind the counter to prepare the drinks.
"You're blushing" Seokjin whispers to him.
"Ohmygod what if he noticed it?" He worriedly asked his Hyung who just shrugged and went to the kitchen.
Is he really that obvious? Damn it's still early to fucked up. He touched his cheeks, feeling the heat from it. Oh no, he is really blushing and just by talking to Namjoon?
He sighs and put the drinks in the tray to serve it. Namjoon is the only customer here and they are not even open yet, he does like it here and Yoongi is glad because of that. He steals a glance to the guy and saw that he's busy reading a book. Well, he assumes dimple guy is smart.
"Here's your drinks" Yoongi said with a smile, Namjoon thanked him so he left after that. Not wanting to embarrass himself. He is unsure if his crush noticed the blushing but he will not risk it again.
He busied himself preparing the cups and straws, cleaning the counter, making sure that it is presentable so customers will like it. He is good at doing this job that's why Seokjin trusted him, the other worker hasn’t arrived yet, there are still 1 hour before they open, which he is surprised when Namjoon arrived earlier than expected.
But, Yoongi is glad. He has reasons to be happy today in the early morning because honestly, he hates morning, feeling sleepy while walking to go to work.
"Hello, sorry again to disturb. can I get tissues. Uhm, I spilled some coffee" Yoongi came back his senses when the person he was thinking appeared in front of him.
"Oh" realizing that this guy needs help, he gave the tissues and grab the map to clean the mess under the table.
Namjoon keeps apologizing to him and Yoongi reminds him that it's not a lot of work and it's part of his job.
"I'm so clumsy I'm so sorry" Namjoon said with his soft voice, awkwardly standing beside him.
"Don't worry about it"
"I went here early and made a mess"
"Hey, it's okay really" Yoongi reassure him. It's not new that he spilled drinks and he always cleans it while Namjoon looking embarrassed every time and Yoongi is just so endeared.
He is so fucking cute that Yoongi can't be mad that he made a mess, Namjoon is just clumsy and he already witnessed it many times.
Yoongi bows and left to continue what he was doing behind the counter. He looks at Namjoon again and he was surprised that the guy was already looking at him, he shyly smiles before he goes back to reading his book and Yoongi just stuck at his spot, not knowing what to do, he can feel the heat on his cheeks. Yep, he's blushing again so before anyone notices it, he grabs a bottle of water and drink it all.
He busied himself, tried to avoid staring at Namjoon. They have already opened the cafe one hour ago and obviously the dimple guy is still sitting at his usual spot, he wonders why he is still studying when it's already summer? Or is he taking summer class maybe?
"Hello Hyung, your favorite person in the world is here" He rolled his eyes when Taehyung enter the shop.
"Taehyung you're wrong, Yoongi Hyung's favorite person is there" Jimin looked at Namjoon who is comfortably sipping at his coffee he bought a while ago, he frowns and slap Jimin's hand.
"Why are you here? This is not the area for customer, sit there" Yoongi said and pointed a table for two.
"Ehhh it's more fun here hehe"
"This is not playground" Seokjin appeared behind them and scolded the two.
"Hyungggg~" Taehyung pout at him, asking him to stop reminding him about the summer class he skips today.
The day went great, they have a lot of customers today buying cold drinks to fight the hot weather. About Namjoon, he left early than usual and Yoongi should not be feel sad because they are basically not close.
"Hyung we're leaving too" Jimin said and pulled Taehyung from their seat
"Finally. I've been waiting for that" Yoongi said in sarcastic way that made the two pouted. Taehyung whispered something to Jimin
"Oh right. By the way, there's a newly open club near here and we're planning to go. If you---"
"I won't go" Yoongi said, not letting Jimin to finish what he was saying.
"Come on. It's weekend" Yoongi shakes his head indicating that he won’t still go with them and adding that he has plans. So, the couple left, failed to invite their Hyung.
Yoongi is not a fan of clubs, he rather stays at his apartment, sleeping or doing anything to kill the time, he hates the noise and the smell of cigarettes so he never joined or didn't go to any clubs.

During Wednesday is his day off so he decided to go to a park where they sell street foods, he thinks it's a good idea than eating noodles again. He can cook, but sometimes he was too tired and just eat ramen or takeout food.
He bought rice cake and a drink to satisfy his dinner. He goes to the eating area, there's a lot of spaces since it's weekdays and people mostly still at work but one person sitting in one of the chairs caught his attention.
Is that Namjoon? The guy is silently eating alone.
Yoongi is standing there, contemplating if he will have the courage to talk to Namjoon and eat with him but then they don’t know each other. Before he made a decision, Namjoon noticed his present.
"Uhh hey"
Yoongi was surprised that Namjoon will be the one to greet him. He pointed his finger to his chest, asking the guy if he is really talking to him and Namjoon nods.
"You're the barista from the cafe down the street, right?"
"Yes. I'm surprised you remember me?" Yoongi says, still holding his food.
The dimple guy released a soft laugh and invite Yoongi to join which he gladly accepted it.
So now Yoongi is sitting in front of his crush. Holding himself to stare because that's kind of creepy if you ask him, who will stare to the person you just met properly? Obviously, it's Yoongi.
He's just glad that Namjoon is not talking, and just focusing on his own food because he doesn't know how he will reply without stuttering. He's confused why the dimple guy even invited to eat with him. Who would think that the guy he was pining for months know him? Yoongi hopes Namjoon didn't notice anything strange from him, like blushing when Yoongi see him smiling.
"Uhm--" Namjoon finally looks up at him when he heard his voice. Yoongi decided to start a conversation when he finished his food
"Oh. Sorry did I disturb your night?" Namjoon suddenly asked with a worried face.
"I'm the one who should ask that" Yoongi frowned.
"No, I mean I invited you without thinking if you're with someone or busy?"
"Oh" Yoongi shakes his head "I'm not busy or with someone. I'm alone actually"
"So, I hope I didn't ruin your night at least?"
"Nope, you're okay. I mean honestly I'm glad because as what I said I was alone"
He smiles softly, still shy in front of Namjoon. And he can’t believe what is happening right now, he was hoping before that he would have a chance at least to talk with him but he knew Namjoon doesn't know him which is he's wrong.
"I was alone too and I got excited when I see you because you're the only one who's familiar to me"
Yoongi doesn't know how to react to that, Namjoon admitting that he got excited when he saw him. He secretly touches his cheeks; dimple guy doesn't need to see his burning cheeks.
"I was surprised you know me"
"Really?" Yoongi nods.
"Uhm people are usually busy inside the cafe and customer just ordered their drinks then left without looking at me or any barista you know, of course they don't have to" He explained.
"I'm a regular customer though and I'm not that forgetful"
"Okay I could pretend you didn't forget any of your things in cafe" Yoongi smirk as he remember the time Namjoon forgot his notebook which is the reason he got his name; he even forgot his phone once.
"Or maybe I'm a bit forgetful person"
"Yeah. And you're the one who always order black coffee with a lot of sugar"
"Ah I'm surprised you memorized my usual drink" Namjoon laughed softly and Yoongi saw them again, the dimples. He will never get tired seeing them.
"Or maybe I just don’t understand why you like that kind of coffee" Yoongi jokes and the atmosphere became silent. He becomes worried that he oversteps and his statement was rude so he glanced at him and see that Namjoon is smiling and his worries washed away.
"I haven’t introduced myself properly. I'm Kim Namjoon" I know.
Yoongi took his hand for a handshake, his hands are cold because of the weather or he is just nervous speaking with him.
"I'm Min Yoongi. Nice to meet you"

1 week passed, they became close and Namjoon still visit the cafe everyday then Yoongi will automatically give him coffee even if Namjoon has not order any drinks yet.
"Thank you Hyung" Namjoon say as Yoongi put down the coffee he made for Namjoon.
"No problem. Enjoy your time here"
Yoongi goes back to the counter and see his Hyung smirking at him.
"You're giving too much special treatment to a customer, Yoongi-ah" He ignored him and made another drink for other customers.
He might be giving Namjoon a special treatment, so what? He deserves it for having cute dimples, Yoongi is whipped for it.
He busied himself until lunch break and Seokjin invited him to eat together, but he refuses and said he has other plans.
"I see. Having a date on my own cafe, that's inappropriate Yoongi" He rolled his eyes when he heard Seokjin's statement, he knows he was just joking based on the tone he used.
"It's not a date Hyung" he says as he grabs his own lunch box he brought and left the kitchen.
He spotted Namjoon sitting on his usual seat and goes there knowing that his Hyung is looking at him right now.
"Hey"
"Hi Hyung. You're on break now?" He nods and Namjoon put his book inside his bag and smiled at him.
"I brought us lunch just like what I said yesterday" He gives the lunch box containing the food he cooks for him.
"Thank you Hyung" The atmosphere became quiet between them; both are focusing on their food.
He cannot still believe that he and Namjoon are friends now, after what happened last week. It was fun talking to him, it was fun listening to his rant about random things and he thought that Namjoon is a rare guy, like how he can be tall, handsome and smart, definitely his ideal type of a guy.
Is it too early to ask him on a date? Maybe but Yoongi will make sure he will, he just needs a little courage.

Time passes and it's time to be alone at his apartment again, Jimin and Taehyung offered him to share an apartment but he refused knowing those two, they will possibly disturb him during the night.
"Hyung you sure I can go home now? I can help you close this shop" Yoongi says while untying his apron.
"Yeah yeah, be careful" He mumbles thanks and went to grab his things before going out of the cafe.
"Hi, Hyung!" He almost jumped when he was startled by a voice behind him
"Oh Namjoon-ah"
"Going home?" He nods and wait for him so now they are walking side by side. "Let me accompany you"
"Why are you still by the way? You left hours ago"
But Namjoon just shrugged so he doesn't question him again.
"Where do you live?" Yoongi answered him and they fell into silent again.
Yoongi thinks this is nice, it's the first someone accompanied him walking home and it feels so good and really flustered him. When they reached the building, Yoongi thanked him.
"Have a good sleep Yoongi Hyung. See you tomorrow"
"Good night Joon-ah" They smiled to each other, and Yoongi waved at him before he enters his apartment building.
Yoongi is happy today, first he got time to talk to Namjoon and invited him to climb a mountain then tonight Namjoon accompanied him to his apartment.
"Good morning Hyung" Namjoon greeted him as soon as he enters the cafe.
"Good morning Joon, you're early today"
"Yeah. I have exam tomorrow and I'm planning to review here" Namjoon said and smile shyly.
After weeks of talking, Yoongi learned that Namjoon is taking a master degree in business and he enrolled in summer class.
"Okay. I'll bring your drink after this" Yoongi said, and organize the cups and some things in the counter.
Namjoon heads to his spot and pulled out a book, it's still 7am and Yoongi is amazed because his brain is functioning unlike Yoongi who couldn’t even remember what was his breakfast.
All the things happened this week was beyond his imagination, he never imagined that Namjoon would love his company even though he is worried because sometimes he talks to much but Namjoon always reminded him that it's okay. Even if they just talking about anything, Yoongi feels like Namjoon knows it all. He also found out how Namjoon loves small things, one time dimple guy texted him about the frog he saw in the park and one times he almost bought baby shoes just because it looks cute to him.
Yoongi's friends are aware about him, he talks to them asking advice what he should do because it gets a little awkward sometimes and his friends are happy for him. Although they keep on asking when they would date but Yoongi never gave them an answer because he also unsure about that.
Yoongi doesn't know how to describe Namjoon in other words than being an almost perfect guy, he is good looking, he is smart, he is kind, he has dimples, he likes books and he talked about his favorite with him, the reasons why Yoongi almost asked him out yesterday, he is clumsy but that's okay because nobody is perfect, he is tall but he likes small things.
He likes Namjoon but he's thinking if he is worthy to him that's why he is hesitant to ask him on a date, what if Namjoon was just too kind and talk to him because he looks lonely? He has worries every day, he wants to take him on a date but he doesn't if Namjoon even want that. He admits that he hates rejection and he doesn't know what he will do if Namjoon rejected him once he confessed or at least take a step on their relationship.
"Earth to Yoongi" Someone waved a hand in front of his eyes and he snapped. "I'm glad you’re back, you were spacing out I thought an alien were trying to abduct you"
He frowned because of Seokjin's statement. Why is there suddenly an alien, he can never understand what his Hyung was thinking sometimes.
"Anyway, I'm just making sure if the shop is ready because we have only 30 minutes to open" He nods.
But he realizes something that he almost punches himself.
"FUCK" He can see from his peripheral view that Seokjin were shocked to his loud voice
"Why? What happened?"
"I forgot about Namjoon's coffee" He immediately go out from the kitchen to make the coffee. How can he forget about it?
"Namjoon, I'm sorry it's a bit late. Here's your coffee" Namjoon was reading a book when Yoongi give him his drink.
"It's okay Hyung" he said and gladly receive it.
"I'm sorry again I was--"
"No need to explain Hyung. It's really okay, thanks for the delicious coffee"
Yoongi promised him to give free refill later. Namjoon was so understanding, another thing he would add to his list on why Namjoon is an almost perfect guy.
"Uhh since you are here, sit with me for a while? I mean if you are not busy?" Namjoon was hesitant to ask him.
"You said you have to review for your exam"
"Yeah, but I need a coffee break" Namjoon muttered and shrugged.
"I guess I can, only--" He looks at his watch "20 minutes more before we open this cafe"
Namjoon nods "That's okay for me"
Yoongi went back to the counter to make his own drink and sat with Namjoon, they were talking about the trees that Yoongi doesn't know how they got the topic but the conversation was alright, Namjoon knows everything about it and he loves learning from him.
"Do you know that trees are the longest living organisms on Earth, and never die of old age?" Namjoon asked him. "And I think humans is the reason why they die, they cut their woods and pulled out their roots"
"But we get benefit from them too that I don't understand if it's bad or not"
"Like what you said we can benefit from them like oxygens and finished products like papers. But I hate when people remove them for aesthetic purposes" Yoongi nods as he agrees with him.
"The biggest tree in the world is sequoia and it is located in California"
"Really? How big?" He curiously asked. It's clearly, he doesn’t know about it so he wants to find out about this giant tree.
"52,500 cubic feet. And the oldest tree is Methuselah. I like to visit it sometimes to see the trees in person"
"You can" Yoongi said with his soft voice.
"Do you think you can hike with me after my exams?" Yoongi was surprised because of this sudden question from Namjoon.
It took him minutes to agree for a hiking, Yoongi thinks it's good to experience it and he likes spending time with Namjoon.
"And you will tell me more about trees?"
"Deal"
They shake hands as if they just got a deal from a business, they both laughed after that and continue talking about trees. Yoongi is just listening to Namjoon, sometimes stating his opinions but he likes to listen to his voice more so he does.
"I promise you will enjoy there"
After 20 minutes, Yoongi went back to his work and Namjoon busied himself all day reading his notes.

1 week after Yoongi thinks Namjoon forgot about their plans so he never talk about it too, and he was so sad that he's been thinking he has to brought out the topic to him. Yoongi was looking forward to it but it seems it will never happen.
Friday morning, Yoongi enter the cafe with a sulky face and his boss noticed it.
"What happened Yoongi?"
"Nothing" He simply said.
Yoongi knows Namjoon is not obligated to fulfill his promise for a hiking, they are just friends but they are not close like how close he is to Jimin and Taehyung. He doesn't have rights to feel disappointed.
"Are you sure you’re, okay? You can take a day off. I will just call Jimin to help me here" Seokjin is now looking at him with his worried expression.
"No. I can--" His words was cut off when someone entered the cafe and it's the person he was expecting.
"Did you two fight?" His Hyung whispered to him while looking to Namjoon who looks stress.
He shakes his head and continue cleaning the tables. Namjoon and he are not friends, or that's how he think, so why they would fight?
Yoongi sighed deeply and make a coffee for him, his heart is beating loudly while walking to Namjoon. He doesn't even know why he's nervous, he should not feel this feeling.
"Here" Yoongi put the drink on his table carefully to not spill to his papers.
Namjoon mumbled thank you and goes back to reading the papers. When Yoongi realizes that he's busy, he huffed silently and leave him. He was about to ask about their plans but he chicken out.
The time is so slow today. Yoongi doesn't know if it's because of his mood or it's really slow. He steals a glance to Namjoon and sighs deeply, he looks so busy with so many papers and he doesn't want to disturb him.
"Hey Yoongi your boyfriend is waiting for you. It's lunchbreak" Seokjin pulled his arms and remove his apron from him
"I don't have a boyfriend"
"Hmp! The dimple guy is waiting for you. Go now" He slightly push him out of the counter.
He looks at Namjoon who is already looking at him, he offers a small smile before he went to kitchen to get their food. He guesses he has no choice now
"Hi, Hyung" He gave him a small smile and sit across the table.
He waits Namjoon to finish putting his things on his bag before he put the food in the table. Namjoon once told him about his favorite food so he cooked for him, hoping he would like the taste.
"How's school Joon-ah?"
"So stressful" Namjoon grunt and continue talking about his day yesterday and Yoongi couldn’t agree more, he remember his college days and the time he ranted to Seokjin why he wanted to drop.
"This is delicious by the way. It's my favorite food Hyung" Namjoon said with a mouth full of food.
"I'm glad you like it"
They went into silent, both eating their food but Yoongi is actually hesitating if he will start the conversation asking Namjoon about their plans or asking him different question like going out for date? But that would make the situation awkward so Yoongi reserved that question.
"Are you done with your exam?" safest question to break the silence. Namjoon nods at him. Yoongi is biting his lip, stopping himself to say something dumb.
"Oh, and about our hiking" Yoongi doesn't ask that but Namjoon does. Yoongi waits for him to talk again "You thought I forgot it, right?"
Yoongi nods dumbly and when he realized what he was doing he shakes his head but it was too late, Namjoon smirked and he is in absolute panic. Does Namjoon knows how to read minds?
"I don’t know how to read people's mind but I can see it in your face"
His mouth opened to form an 'o' as Namjoon said that words. So, Namjoon did really notice him.
"I j-just thought-- uhm never mind"
"You're really cute you know"
"What" Did Yoongi heard that wrong that Namjoon called him cute?
"Anyway, for your information I still remember our plans about hiking and I'm the one who should ask you if you are busy tomorrow?" Namjoon said forgetting he just said that Yoongi is cute
As Yoongi, he is still sitting there, not moving at all, Namjoon calling him cute is playing on his mind like a broken record. It's not first time he heard others complementing him but Namjoon's impact is different, it's not good for his heart.
"Hyung?"
"H-huh?"
"Are you busy tomorrow? If you are, we can reschedu---"
"NO” He feels other customers are now looking at them because of his loud voice, his ears became red because he is embarrassed right now "I m-mean I’m not busy... tomorrow"
"Okay, Hyung" Namjoon doesn't question his behavior a while a go even though his eyes are curious.
"T-then I must g-go back to work" Yoongi smile awkwardly and walks back to the kitchen.
"You're so red Yoongi" Seokjin laughed at him.
He touched cheeks, it's hot from blushing, is it normal to feel dizzy because of too much emotion? Yoongi just hopes he won’t embarrassed himself again tomorrow.

Tomorrow finally came, the day that Yoongi has been waiting. 5am and he is already waiting outside of his apartment wearing clothes that is suitable for hiking, inside his bag are extra clothes and their food. Namjoon messaged him saying he was on his way.
He's been waiting for 10 minutes when he saw a car coming. He waved when the guy got out of his cat
"Let me help you" Namjoon helps him with his bag which he refused because it's not that heavy but dimple guy opens the car door for him, it makes him skip a heartbeat
He is so gentleman Yoongi thinks. Every time he spends time with Namjoon he discovered what kind of person he is.
"You can sleep Hyung" Namjoon says when he yawned.
"Nah I rather talk to you so you won’t get bored" Yoongi says and yawns again.
"I'm okay Yoongi Hyung, just sleep"
"How about we eat first? I just had coffee" Yoongi lied. He ate ramen but it's the only suggestion he can give.
Namjoon agreed so he get the gimbap he made and feeds him while he's driving. Yoongi is so happy right now, it is still feels unreal that he's with Namjoon, he only thought about it and how it was impossible. He is not sure if he will consider this as a date as Namjoon didn't mention anything
But he's hoping Namjoon would like the idea of dating him. He still haven' figure out how he will confess, if he will do it once they reached the top of the mountain or he will for other days. Yoongi always have thoughts about that everyday, if he will tell his feelings today or next day but the truth is, he's not sure if Namjoon will not reject him.
Honestly, he scared of rejections. He already experienced it, when getting a job or failing the interview for college before but for Yoongi it's different, the rejections from the person you like would be the most painful to him and he is scared of that.
Jimin always said he should have a courage, he has it but he is not ready for any rejections. He rather be friends with Namjoon than being stranger again after the confession.
However, no one can tell what will happen so Yoongi is thinking about it a lot.
"We're here Hyung. We will start to walk there" Namjoon pointed a spot. His ass is in pain for being sitted for hours.
The mountain is called Achasan, located between Gwangjin-gu and Guri. Yoongi have never been in this place and never tried hiking before that's why he feels excited. They stretch their body before they start walking, it can help them lessen the soreness they will feel after.
"Let's go!" Yoongi said.
Yoongi pulled out his camera and starting to take a picture of the things he likes, he makes Namjoon pose in one of the trees along the way and he asked a stranger to take a picture of them, smiling widely while Namjoon's hand is on his shoulder and his hand is on Namjoon's waist. A hiker complimented them, he said they look good as a couple, Yoongi felt his cheeks is burning hot and he blamed it to the cold wind.
As they hike, Namjoon fulfilled their deals, he says random facts about trees and they stop whenever Namjoon see a little thing that he finds cute.
It's beautiful. Yoongi said to himself while looking from the top of the mountain, tall buildings, rivers, houses and it looks so peaceful if you look it from here. He heard a click sound and immediately turn around to see Namjoon now holding his camera.
"I told you, you would like it here"
"Thank you Joonie" Yoongi smiles with sincerity, nickname that came out from his mouth became normal, he sometimes calls him with different nickname and Namjoon seemed like it
He doesn't like it, he loves it.
He wants to keep coming back here for the sake of his peace of mind, he doesn't care if he is drench with sweat because what you will see at the top is worth it. Thanks to Namjoon for inviting him here.
So, Yoongi decided, he will talk to Namjoon about his feelings. He doesn't care anymore if he doesn't feel the same way, he will be contented if ever Namjoon decided for both of them to stay friends or be a stranger to each other. He doesn't want to regret everything in the future, he would not see the result if he didn’t try.
Being in love with someone is not easy. Whether you like it or not, your feelings will be hurt.

Yoongi prepares their food on the blanket, they are having a mini picnic with a nice view. He sighs deeply before do what he was planning
"Joon?"
"Hmm" Namjoon looks up, cheeks are stuffed with food.
"Is this a date?" Yoongi blurts out wide that makes Namjoon chokes. He grabs a water bottle and gave it to him
"That was sudden I'm sorry" Yoongi said but he's not sorry at all
"Hyung, can you repeat your question?" Namjoon said after he finishes his water.
"Do you consider this as a date?" He confidently said.
"Do you want to?"
"Uhm... yes" His voice was slow when he said the word 'yes'
"Okay then. Are you enjoying our date?"
"Are you serious?"
"Of course, honestly Yoongi Hyung? I was just waiting for the right time but I'm glad you feel the same way" He nods at his words. His smile became wide when Namjoon gave him a warm smile, dimples are out again.
"I really like your dimples" Yoongi pokes it without asking Namjoon if it's okay but the guy seems okay on what he did.
"I like your smile" Namjoon said.
"Oh, are we confessing what we like to each other now?" Yoongi giggled at that thought, saying all the things he likes about Namjoon.
"Hmm I like when you are so focus reading your book"
"Were you staring at me?"
"No... sometimes?" Namjoon laughed because of his confession.
It's true though. His friends know about it and sometimes Seokjin caught him so yeah there’s no point to lie right now, he stares at him whenever there's a chance.
"I like your nose"
"My nose? That's weird" Yoongi said "I like your eyes"
"Oh, we're mutual, I like your eyes too" He smiles, he will never get tired to smile when Namjoon compliment him.
They continue talking about what themselves, he felt at ease as they talk about their personal stories, about their friends and their careers.
Yoongi didn’t know that he will like this situation, he is a kind of person who is quiet during the conversation, he will only talk if that person was asking him but to Namjoon he doesn't feel any awkwardness except when they first met and he's having inner panic. It's just so feel right being with him, hopefully it will last long.
When the sun is finally rise, Yoongi suggested to go home but Namjoon has other plans, he asked him for a proper breakfast and who is he to refuse it? So now Yoongi is driving Namjoon's car, they even argued about that a while ago. Yoongi explaining why he insisted, that Namjoon should rest which the dimple guy disagreed, but in the end, he let him.
"You're stubborn I see" Namjoon commented
He just shrugged and ask where he wants to eat.
"You pick"
"Okay, let's go to my favorite place. It's not fancy, I warn you"
A day with Namjoon, he could say that he enjoyed it and wishes there would be another time. it's okay for him if they will just watch a movie or visiting a museum because Namjoon seemed like the type of person who visits museum to discover things.

When Yoongi went home he was surprised by Jimin who's waiting for him in his apartment.
"What are you doing here?"
"I heard from Seokjin Hyung you had a date" Jimin plumps down on his couch "So, how was it?"
"Were you waiting for me to answer that question? You know you can just message me" He turned back to his friend ignoring his whining and goes to his room to change clothes.
"Come on Hyung, I just want to know since you had never been in a date for 2 years"
He curses him silently, he knows Jimin won’t stop asking him until he gets an answer.
"It was amazing" He shouts from inside, hoping his friend will hear it and leave him alone.
"Wait was it really a date? I lied, Jin Hyung just said you went to hike with Namjoon but I didn't know it was a date"
Damn you Park Jimin for being nosy.
"Okay now I need details. I'm waiting you here Hyung" Jimin says "If you don’t come out, I will destroy your door" That little bastard threatened him as if he can do that.
After 20 minutes, yes, he let Jimin wait that long, he left his room to answer all the questions his friend listed about his date.
"Fucking finally! I thought you died of heart attack there"
"So?" Jimin gestured asking him to wait and tap something on his phone "What the fuck? Why are you calling him?"
"My boyfriend is curious too"
"Hello Yoongi Hyung" A voice which belongs to Taehyung greets him and he grunts in response.
"Okay first question how was your date?"
"That's so lame for the first question Jimin-ah" Taehyung commented
"Oh, shut up. You-"
"It was amazing I said it already" Yoongi says, stopping the two boyfriends from bickering.
"Can you elaborate?
"No"
Jimin sighs "Fine! How did you get a date with him?"
"I asked him obviously"
He heard a 'what?' response from the two, seems like they are not believing what he just said which is fair. His friends were motivating him to at least talk to Namjoon before, when he was still a stranger to him and he keep on saying he has but the only talk they did was when Namjoon ordering a drink.
"You asked?" He nods as answer, Jimin and Taehyung laughed at him and that makes him frown.
"What is funny?"
"I cannot believe this. You really asked him?"
"Omg Hyung that was the funniest joke you've said"
"I'm not lying" he says with serious tone and that's how the two guys stop laughing.
"You were not being sarcastic when you said you asked?" He shakes his head.
"I asked him when we were at the top of the mountain"
“Omg so romantic” Taehyung commented.
"So, what now?" Jimin and Taehyung gives him a hopeful eyes, waiting for him to say about their date or are they waiting for something?
"We're not dating, we just had a date" Which he's hoping there will be a next time.
Three of them continue talking about his day.
"But you know what? I think Namjoon will be a good boyfriend, what do you think babe?" Jimin says
"I don't know I haven't seen him Jimin"
"Oh right. Anyway, I think he is trustable"
"I think it's called trustworthy" Taehyung says
"Nooo, I have seen that word before"
Yoongi let the two argue about the whatever word they need to talk about. He checks his phone and find a message from Namjoon, he automatically smiles while he opens it.
Namjoon:
Hi Yoongi Hyung I had fun today. Thank you for giving your time and effort to climb the mountain with me. Though, I'm hoping it would not our first and last
Yoongi:
Hey Joon-ah, I had fun too and I'm actually thinking if you like the idea too
Namjoon:
So, a date again? Maybe next week?
Yoongi
Huh? Suddenly? but yeah sure, I'm free during weekends
Namjoon:
I know that. See you at the cafe tomorrow Hyung!! :))
Yoongi:
See you! :)
"Ohhhhh look Jimin, he is having heart eyes I wonder who he was messaging?"

If Yoongi said he wasn't waiting for someone, he'd be lying. He arrived at work at 6 a.m. which is unusual for him, and yes, he is waiting for Namjoon; it is now 10 a.m., and the shop is open, but there is no Namjoon inside.
Maybe he'll show up later, and he's excited about it, time is moving so slowly today. He is debating whether or not to begin preparing his drink, but he is concerned that the coffee will be cold.
Yesterday was his most memorable day, his legs and feet are a little sore, but it was well worth it. Every moment he spent with Namjoon was memorable and worth it, learning about a person is not easy for Yoongi because he becomes awkward, but with Namjoon, he is so welcoming that you know if you feel the energy beside him, you will know you are safe with him, that's how he feels.
He is so knowledgeable that he tells Yoongi everything he knows about nature, especially trees. He once called Namu yesterday since namu means tree and his height is reasonable, thus is why he called him that, and Namjoon just laughed.
Of course, their first date was unexpected, and Yoongi had no intention of asking right then and there, but he did. He's relieved that Namjoon is willing to go on a second date with him.
He is not in love, love is a powerful term that implies commitment. Yes, he likes him, but for the time being, all he wants to do is enjoy his time with him while slowly falling in love, and he's hoping Namjoon will be ready to catch him.
"Really Yoongi? Spacing out while at work?" His thoughts were interrupted by his Hyung who's now crossing his arms.
"It's not like the store is packed," he shrugs, causing Seokjin to roll his eyes.
"You're lucky you're my favorite employee; otherwise, you'll be fired."
"I acknowledge that privilege" Yoongi gave him a warm smile.
"So, are you waiting for someone?"
"No" Seokjin smirked because of his answer
"He's busy"
"How do you know?"
"He's a student with summer classes, after all. What other reasons do you think he hasn't shown up?" Seokjin replied and make his way to kitchen, leaving Yoongi confused.
He never mentioned Namjoon being a student, except to Jimin since that little brat wants to know everything, so how does Seokjin know he's in summer classes? Is it obvious because he spotted him with a book or papers, or is it something else? However, not everyone who holds a book is a student.
His thought once again interrupted when someone enters the cafe and it is the person he's been waiting for and he's with another guy who is clinging on his arms. Yoongi watches Namjoon with a guy sitting down on his usual spot. He grabs his little notebook to take his order.
Although, he is overthinking right now because he saw this new guy so close with him, is he feeling jealous? he is unsure.
"Hi may I take your order?" The guy looks at him and smiles, his lips forming a heart.
"Hiii" He waved at him like an excited kid " Uhmm can I get choco drink? Make it cold drink hehe" He writes his order. "I had enough coffee a while ago"
"Hey, Yoongi Hyung" He nods to greet him
"Ohhh, you know each other?"
"Yeah. this is Hoseok by the way"
"Omg hello nice to meet you I'm Hoseok"
"Yeah, and uhmm I'm Yoongi" he says and bows at him. After he got the orders, he makes his way to the counter to make their drinks.
Yoongi is hungry, he was supposed to eat his lunch with Namjoon but it's already past lunch and seemed that Namjoon already ate. Perhaps his Hyung will understand if he takes a break even if lunch hour has passed. After handing the drinks to the customer, he went to Seokjin and got scolding but he let him so he went to inside of employee room.
He checks his phone.
Namjoon:
Hyung, are you busy tonight?
You said you like japchae
So Hoseok recommended me this place and I would like to go with you
If you're not busy of course

At 9 p.m., Yoongi began cleaning the counter, heading to the tables to see whether any items had been left out by customers, but instead found Namjoon sitting alone.
"Why are you here?" Yoongi says when he arrived in front of him.
"Hi Hyung! Still busy?" He lifts up what he's holding which are the cleaning equipment "Oh Sorry to disturb you"
"So why are you here?"
"I'm waiting for you" Namjoon simply said.
"Waiting for me? Why?" Yoongi is puzzled. Namjoon had no reason to wait for him. Is he supposed to finish his schoolwork tonight?
"Did you see my text?"
"Yeah" Yoongi replied with a small voice, he saw his message but he ignored it "But it's late"
"I know" Namjoon says and silence falls between them. Seems like Yoongi waited for Namjoon to speak because it seems that he wanted to say something based on his facial expression.
"How about I accompany you again? So, I can make sure you will be home safe and sound? However, I don't know if you will like the idea, I insist" Yoongi had to stop him from rumbling.
"You're a graduate student Joon and I know their schedule is hectic"
"I'm not that busy today"
"Are you sure?" Yoongi asked and Namjoon nods at him and promise that he will not get bored while waiting for him.
Namjoon didn't break his promise and he has this big smile; dimples are peaking out when Yoongi came out from the employee's room ready to go home.
"I almost forgot to ask, did you eat your dinner?" Yoongi asks once he is in front of him.
"Yes. I ordered a slice of cake"
"That's not considered a dinner Namjoon" Yoongi looks at him with concern eyes "You should not waste your time here"
"Why do you think I'm wasting my time here?"
"I mean you have a home and you don’t have to wait for me"
"My apartment is too silent unlike here" Namjoon says with his sad voice and Yoongi feels that it's not a perfect time to talk about so he did not ask anymore except reminding Namjoon to not skip his meals.
"Actually, I'm hungry, do you want to go in the night market here?"
"Okay"
When they reach the park, they go straight to order gimbap because Namjoon is craving and they choose to sit in the front of a nice view, even though it's already night the park is still full of people and lights.
Yoongi was focusing on eating his food that he didn't realize Namjoon is looking at him with fond eyes.
"You're really pretty" Namjoon suddenly blurted out and Yoongi choked his food.
"W-what?"
"Oh sorry I said it out loud but yeah you're really pretty" He apologized but he's not sorry at all because he wanted to say it, he wanted to say that Yoongi is so pretty.
"Why are you so confident saying all that stuffs?" Yoongi says but he feels nervous, his cheeks are hot from the sudden words from him.
"My mom said I should say what I want to say so..." Namjoon shrugged and repeated what he said.
Yoongi hid his flustered face with his hands, ears are turning red. He was not ready for that, Namjoon calling him pretty. His friends are always calling him that of course but it's different when the words are from him.
"Are you being shy right now?"
"No!" Yoongi says when Namjoon tries to pull out his hand from his face.
After trying to calm himself, he finally pulled out his hand but he's not confident to look at Namjoon's face. He couldn’t control himself and blush in front of him, it's kind of embarrassing being shy in front of your crush then they noticed it.
"Sorry I made you awkward"
"It's okay. I'm just not used to receive compliments from others besides my friends" Yoongi explains. "And uhm I think you're really pretty too"
"Really?" Yoongi automatically put a smile to his face when he saw Namjoon smiling big and his dimples are getting deeper.
"I like your dimples, they are deep today"
"Because I'm so happy right now" Namjoon says "Did I already say I like you"
"I like you too Namjoon" the situation made him confident to tell what's he's feeling right now. Yoongi's heart skip a beat when he holds his hands. His hand is warm, he doesn't want to let go.
"This okay?" He nods and relaxes while looking at the sky, the stars, like Namjoon, are particularly lovely tonight. He glances at him and sees him gazing at the stars as well.
"Since we are in this situation right now, confessing our feelings. I should tell you that I felt jealous of your friend" Yoongi broke the silence between them.
"Hoseok? Why?"
"I thought he was your boyfriend"
"Ah Hyung. You don't need to worry about him, he's already taken"
"Really?" Yoongi replies, still looking at the sky.
"Yes. His name is Jungkook and my friend too"
"I'm glad then. I love talking with you and you know I like you. I don't know what should I do if I find you're not single"
"That's not gonna happen, Hyung. I promise you, you are the only one I like." Namjoon planted a kiss on his hands, causing him to melt. His heart skips a beat because of a simple gesture.
He cherishes every moment spent with him, even if they are simply holding hands right now and not talking, even if Namjoon invites him again to hike or visit a museum since he is starting to get interested on those things, and even their moments inside the café where everything starts.
Yoongi believes that falling in love with someone will make him the happiest person on the planet, and that he is beginning to believe in fate.
Love requires patients because we can't get all we want instantly.
"Can I kiss you?"
"That was a sudden question" Namjoon laughs nervously "Are you sure about that?"
"Yeah" Yoongi is the one who starts leaning to Namjoon, he's been thinking for days about this, about kissing him. Wondering if Namjoon would like that.
Yoongi can feel his breath as their faces lean, he closes his eyes till he feels a soft lip on his own lips.
The kiss was short but it will be unforgettable to him, his first kiss with Namjoon is definitely one of his beautiful moments in his life, his lips taste so sweet like a strawberry, he thinks because of the food they eat and he is so gentle.
"Yoongi Hyung, be my boyfriend?” Namjoon finally asked the important question he’s been waiting. Actually, he was starting to plan how he would ask him to be his boyfriend but Namjoon always stole those plans from him, it’s okay for him though, that Namjoon would always the first one to ask him because he might do anything stupid if he will be the one who would ask.
"I like that idea" Yoongi gave him a peck "Boyfriend"
They exchange smiles, their hands are intertwined, and Yoongi rests his head on his shoulder, content at the moment.
This feels good he thinks.
The Moon Café where his love life started, he doesn’t know if he can call it the start of their relationship because Yoongi was pining over a customer. They were complete strangers at the time, so Namjoon's admission that he knows Yoongi works at that café and may have a crush on him surprised him.
And he's finally found the love he'd been yearning for, and he's happy with Namjoon at his side, hugging Yoongi like he's the most precious thing.
