"Ha! Beat you again!"
"Not fair!" Talon pouts and closes his nintendo. "This game is stupid"
You grin while leaning over to him and poke his cheek playfully. "Come on, it's your first time playing! Don't be a sore loser~"
Talon turns away, blushing, and you inch closer, nuzzling to him. He scoffs, but turns back to you and gives you a kiss. Then he lies down with his head in your lap, and takes up the Nintendo again. "Alright, one more round. And this time I won't lose!"
You chuckle, and play with his hair, before focusing on your own game again. "We'll see about that!"
A little while later, he lets out a cheer. “See, I told you I’d beat you!”
“Aw man! Well, I won the previous rounds, so I’m still better”, you reply, knowing very well that you intended to let him win so he wouldn’t spend the rest of the night complaining.
You are just about to ask if maybe he wants to play something else now, when the doorbell rings. Talon immediately perks up. “That must be the pizza!”
A few moments later, the two of you are having a fine margherita pizza with some wine you found in a kitchen cabinet.
“So whaddcha wanna do later?” You ask him through a mouth full of food.
“I was actually planning on watching the newest episode of that isekai anime everyone keeps talking about!” He glances at you expectingly. “If you want we can watch it together, maybe”
“Hell yeah! It’s been a while since I’ve seen a good show!” You throw some air punches at imaginary foes. “Man, I wish I was in a video game! I would take over the world so quickly they wouldn’t even see me coming!”
Talon scoffs. “Well I would make a secret shadow organization that would rule the world from the shadows! Nobody would even know we’re there” He leans back, sipping his wine.
You grin. “We could rule together, you do your shadow thing and I do my empire thing!” You lean forward. “So, what’s the anime about?”
A few hours later, you wake up in the middle of the night. You sit up, and immediately cling to the person lying next to you, as the bed begins to shift below you. It takes you a moment to realize that you two fell asleep in Talon’s hammok. The laptop has shut down by now, and the room is only illuminated by the soft blue light coming from outside the window. It is just enough to make out the man lying next to you, and so, you lie back down and watch him for a while. You can barely make out the silhouette of his pretty face and his messy hair, and you cuddle closer to him. Instinctively, he puts your arm around you, muttering something in his sleep. You can just make out the word ‘knife’, but that’s about it. You eventually close your eyes. All you can hear is the sounds of cars passing by the window to you two’s apartement every now and then, and the regular breaths of your boyfriend. Soon, you too drift off to sleep again.
