Work Text:
As the saying goes, the garden reflects its gardener.
Vyn Richter prouds himself as an excellent gardener. The way he tended to each of his treasured plant is nothing short of exceptional. His garden is his abode for everything is within his expectations. Every aspect of the growth of each plant is carefully planned, he has complete control over the garden of his making.
So when Rosa arrived in his life, everything fell into disarray.
His turbulent heart manifested change, the plants quickly morphed and grew into trees. No matter how much he cut down, they only grew faster than before. Soon, he is trapped in a forest that was once his garden.
In this forest, the sky is forever dark, the lone moon is his only light.
Vyn is lost, feeling inferior due to the loss of his influence over the place. So he ran and ran, forcing his legs to move forward. He doesn't care what direction he's going, he just wants a way out.
He will not end up like his father, who is forever trapped in the dark forest of his own.
Yet when he is with his beloved rose, his thoughts of escaping the forest were pushed in the back of his mind. The moon gradually grew brighter, illuminating certain parts of the forest that were once covered by the shadows.
Dr. Vyn Richter is a rational man, every action he takes assures his victory and gives him benefits. Yet, he often loses it when he is with a certain woman.
As he fell deeper in love, the forest continued its transformation, twisting its paths and creating an even more complex maze. The longer he spent walking through the forest, the more he finds himself not minding if he were to stay there for eternity. He learned to embrace the chaos that love has brought him.
At last, the forest completed its transformation and unravelled all of its glory. It is hard to say that he once saw this forest as his prison when he greedily took in the wonderful sights that the place offers. He daresay that the beauty of his carefully-crafted garden does not compare to the allure of the forest born from the turbulence that love has brought.
My, he had forgotten that this forest used to be his beloved garden. The more he looks, the more he sees the nostalgic ghost of the garden he used to tend to.
However, he is so enraptured by the forest that he disregards the garden he once created. He never thought the love he used to despise could be so beautiful, so ethereal. This domain is the product of their feelings for each other. This is a gift that she must receive; he wants to show just how exquisite their love is.
"My rose, would you grant this one request from me?" With a determined heart, he invites the woman to the forest of their creation.
