#01 Tomoe Hiyori
I think it's very easy to have a misperception about Tomoe Hiyori-sama. I didn't saying this just because I am working for Tomoe's family therefore I have to say only good things about them. I'm saying this based on my opinion as one who's watching Tomoe Hiyori-sama almost everyday.
Even though I can't see Tomoe Hiyori-sama as much as before ever since he has to moved to Ensemble Square's dorm, I'm still with my opinion. Lots of people would easily judge Tomoe Hiyori-sama just because of one or two thing he did.
Just another spoiled brat who can't control his words, that's usually what people think about Tomoe Hiyori-sama. Including me, at the beginning of my journey working at Tomoe's family.
Tomoe Hiyori-sama is indeed very different with his brother. His brother is one who always attend family meetings, the current face of the family. Hiyori-sama always refused to come and because of that, people assuming lots of thing about him, mostly it's the bad things.
Hiyori-sama didn't really have friend since when he was little kid. Not that I know about his childhood, I just working here for about one and half year but I heard a lot from the others maid who works here. Back then, before even Ran Nagisa-san lived in Tomoe's household for a while, Hiyori-sama didn't have any friend, —at least that's what the seniors said. The only 'friends' that he have were us, maids. The maids would sometimes talk about few things, but —have to admits— most of us loves to talk way too much. Since the maids met Hiyori-sama everyday, taking his order everyday, sometimes we're just getting too friendly, we talk about lots of thing to him, especially, we loves gossiping.
Maybe, just maybe, the reason behind some of Hiyori-sama's words are influenced by the maids.
Once during a party, my senior whispering to me, introducing some super-rich families so I know who they are.
"This one is Himemiya family." Ookano-san whispered to me.
"They are a newly rich family that sticks to Tenshouin's family." Terada-san added.
"Just like a suckerfish." Ookano-san giggled.
I thought that talk was limited only between us, maids, our inside jokes thingy. To my surprise, it was last year after having the Summer live, Tomoe Hiyori-sama back home with all of his things together with Sazanami Jun-sama who helps carrying all of his stuff. Hiyori-sama throwing his bags, asking for a massage, a treatment for Bloody Mary, then he said,
"Oh right, Ookano-san, I met that one you said to me back then, that kid from Himemiya family, right. I was so surprised to see him. You know what? Apparently we met few years ago when I was kid, that's when I remember that he's that Himemiya who sticks on Tenshouin's family for a long time."
I feel awkward to heard that. I think Sazanami-san was surprised to heard it as well. While Ookano-san is laughing, I encourage myself to asked, "B-but there's no way Hiyori-sama said that words to Himemiya-san, right?" I tried to relax like it's a usual joke between us.
"I said that to him and the butler suddenly looks furious, I wonder why is that when I said the truth, right. Bad Hiyori."
That was when I realized Hiyori-sama is probably didn't even know that it wasn't supposed to be said out loud, especially to the face of the related person.
Sazanami-sama cried out, "Ohii-san....," that's how he always called Hiyori-sama, so cute.
Yeah, I think, one reason why Tomoe Hiyori-sama might be easily judged by others is somehow because of us, maids, too. I feel sorry but talking with Hiyori-sama is somehow fun.
In the other side, even though sometimes Hiyori-sama can be just naturally blunt about everything, doing everything as he wants, I think Hiyori-sama is still very kind.
There's this one time when he rants because Sazanami-sama forgot to feed Bloody Mary. Hiyori-sama who won't even let Mary feel hungry, of course, is totally mad about that. I think it's always very sweet to see Hiyori-sama taking care of Mary, she's so loved. Yeah anyway, even though Hiyori-sama is angry but then he proceed to talk about how he found Sazanami-san. He said that Sazanami-san has a really soft voice despite of his fierce looks. Hiyori-sama later talking about how Sazanami-san is improving here and there.
"But still, he's nothing compared with Hiyori-sama though." I said while pouring tea to his cup.
"I know, but his progress is good. Good Hiyori." Hiyori-sama said while stroking Mary's furs.
I think Hiyori-sama really likes to take cares others. Maybe it comes naturally for him since he's full of love. Ookano-san said back then he found a wounded bird. He's later taking care of the bird everyday. The bird is then getting better, but that's only for a while. Few days later the bird died and Hiyori-sama is crying for days. Ookano-san said that it was hard but they keep trying to said to Hiyori-sama that Hiyori-sama been giving that bird a second-chance even though it's just for a while.
Back then when Ran Nagisa-san lived here, he also taking care of him everyday. They playing around the home together everyday. Ran Nagisa-san is sure has a special place in Hiyori-sama's heart as a very first friend, a real friend, not a maid-master thing. Hiyori-sama always acts like an elder brother whenever he's with Ran Nagisa-sama. That's what Ookano-san told me.
My perception towards Hiyori-sama slowly changing after I see more side of him almost everyday. The back stories that the other maids told me also gives me more information that we can't simply judging Hiyori-sama just for one or two aspects.
"Hiyori-sama is indeed has a heart of gold." I said while wiping my fake tears.
"You just complained about Sazanami-san but later talking about the good thing of him. Hiyori-sama is wonderful, I'm so touched. I'm sure in the future Hiyori-sama would definitely saved the whole world." Okay maybe I sounds exaggerating but I'm getting used doing this, don't even know why.
"I know I am awesome but please stop doing that fake-tears, okay. Sometimes you and your affirmation kinda sounded like, that viper, right. Warui Hiyori." He said while his hand signed to add more tea to the cup he just drinked.
"And who is this viper?" I feel curious even though I have someone in my mind already. I think Terada-san ever told me about this. I pulled the cup and filled it again.
"I'm sure he's your boss too. My brother sends you to Cosmic Production as a producer representative from Tomoe Foundation, am I right?"
"Saegusa Ibara, right."
Aanddd that's a story that I should keep for another time.
