Charlie Weasley Dating Headcanons!
(GN reader, house neutral, again, all fluff! ;D)
- congratulations on dating charlie weasley, local dragon nerd and total sweetheart!
- hm, let’s start with how he’s just a very chill yet vibrant personality and he’s be so excited that you said you liked him back, (even if you asked first or he did).
- he’ll grab you and pull you into this giant spinning fairytale hug and it feels like hours have passed as you’re just this sweet blushing mess with the redhead.
- he’ll totally hold your hand all the time no matter what. you’ll be in a class that he doesn’t have and it’ll take you ten minutes to realize he’s not supposed to be there. he’s just sitting next to you anyways. <3
- “go to class!” “noooooo…I just want to hold you…“ and then, since you’re a total sucker, it works.
- eventually he does go back to that class the next day but the full first day after you confess your feelings he will not leave your side.
- (in return you won’t leave his side the next day. you both lose 15 points per class you miss. and a week’s detention.)
- charlie’s not too much of a stereotypical romantic, but he’ll take you out on full on day dates. clear your whole schedule, you’re going hiking in the woods from dawn to dusk because he wants to show you this meteor shower from the best point in the forest and this cute mooncalf he found the other day and how he thought of you when he saw this wild niffler-
- It’s a cute picnic date that ends with a lot of sweet kisses in the moonlight.
- The light hits his hair just right and he grins in that goofy smile that you love so damn much, and you grab his face and kiss him right there. he’s so shocked that it doesn’t register for a full 30 seconds until he grabs your hair and around your waist.
- He always finds the right way to fluster you and doesn’t even try he just does it. he’ll come up behind you and grab you around the waist and bury his face in your neck at 9 am breakfast. that wakes you up way more than any cup of coffee.
- “oh my gOD CHARLIE” “hi, love <3” “…hi”
- However, he’s also very easy to make blush. You could just kiss him on the cheek and his face literally lights up. It’s so funny. You’d laugh and he’d laugh too and kiss you back and suddenly it’s a makeout session in the common room. This happens 7 times a week.
- He’s very much a sucker for physical affection. before you were dating, you could bump his shoulder and he’d be so flustered. Thank god you also had a crush and didn’t notice it, he would not have survived.
- So even before when you guys were friends, he’d infodump on you, we know this, but now he’ll talk about almost any interest he has, not just dragons. specific animals that dragons eat, plants that dragons eat, this one potion that makes you fireproof, you, how old ron is, ginny’s baby pictures, quidditch matches, and e v e r y t h i n g.
- at first he’ll be kind of hesitant to do it, everyone else would get annoyed whenever he did it, but it’s endearing to you. so then he likes to you a lot bc you’re one of the people who actually listens! :D
- any secrets or things you tell to him are also definitely locked up, he won’t talk to anyone. “I mean, you can talk to some people-” “shhhhhh, I’ll keep my promise.” “charlie-”
- sometimes he’ll spill his own secrets when he’s in a very lulled state around you. around nighttime or when he’s tired, he’ll be talking about very specific hilarious story he has about his family or a cute description of a hedgehog he found while in the forest (looking for dragons) except he slurs sometimes and it’s so cute.
- everyone knows it. everyone says it. charlie weasley gives the best hugs. he’s so soft. like look at that jacket it’s so layered no wonder he gives the best hugs. but the hugs are also so good because he just puts a lot of emotion into them. he’s so warm and hugs pretty tightly and for rather long so he is one of the best huggers.
- he’s also a good kisser. kind of. when you first start of course it’s going to be a bit bad, but when he really learns how to do it, he loosens up about it and actually kisses well. he tries. <3
- he’ll kiss you anywhere, too. he’s not particularly possessive but literally everyone in hogwarts knows you two are together. he gets the biggest smile on his face whenever he holds your hand and it looks really cute.
- he’s fine with pda, in fact it’s a little fun, but heavy makeout sessions without intense touching are the limit. like he won’t be super inappropriate in public but he will be open to it if you want to in private. ;)
- for immediate comfort, he has these little candies he keeps stashed in one of his pockets at all times, mostly for him but he’ll make an exception for you. he’ll also give you a super tight hug. <3
- other times he’ll hang out in your common room/dorm (whichever is more comfortable for public/private times) and just take care of you. he won’t initiate anything but he does have a box of tissues, some foods, and a nice blanket for whenever you want to talk. the two of you could have a quiet night alone in the common room and watching the fireplace flicker, and it’s a feeling of completeness for the two of you.
- on the other hand, he will tell you the cheesiest pick up lines that bill said were cool. he took any advice he could get on how to date you, and since bill did not pick up that many girls (from the game) it is safe to say they are both total dorks who only learned cheesy nicknames and pick up lines from books and their parents. specifically this one muggle book they found at an old bookstore on clearance.
- “are you a geologist? because you rock my world” “charlie do you even know what a geologist is?” “…no. but I DO know you rock my world. ;)” ”…mine too.”
- general charlie dating is just outdoors adventures and indoors cuddles <3
