Chapter Text
"Now how is that fair, Scott?" I asked, trying to reach the ender pearl my brother was holding. "Learn to steal. Without powers. You will need it when you go out."
I sighed before tackling him to the ground. "It's mine!" I said and snatched it.
"Ranboo's gonna murder you, ya know?" Scott said, getting up and brushing off the dirt. "I could take the spoiled end prince. Don't cha worry brother!" I said smiling, storing the pearl in her bag.
I owned many things, and many thing to carry storage, but my favourite was a leather bag with my name in a corner which I used to carry around small things such as pearls, food and water, a dagger and sometimes arrows.
"Don't you think having a bag with your name on it could cause you trouble?" Scott asked as we walked towards "the pub". "How would that cause trouble? Everyone else knows me!" I said as the wind changed and i lifted myself up to the building in the skies.
It has water streams to the front and lava streams too, so that all origins could reach it. Main meeting area and stuff.
Today was a meeting day. We had to get to the meeting quickly and talk about a problem we have had for a very long time:
Animals disappeared. Magic animals and companions who make our life easier and more 'cottagecore'. They were leaving. More and more were just...gone overnight. It was concerning.
I tried keeping guard but with my sleeping issues I had to rest and the others were not as worried as me, until now.
We lost a moon deer. Moon deers were around for easing our nightmares. Being origins dont help us against nightmares. The deers do. And 1 of them disappeared. This was....very bad.
One of my best friends, Tommy, had all sorts of nightmares about someone named Dream killing him, exiling him, manipulating and so on. He slept high up like me and we have sleepovers so that's how I found out how much the deers matter to him.
My other friends also have sleeping problems. Not like Ranboo, the end prince (exiled thooo), would admit but I could tell from his cautious look every time he came up to my mountain to "keep watch of the weak".
I got up and went inside. Most were already here, especially tommy, ranboo, philza, niki, all the others. i sat down looking around.
"Where's Soot?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. He couldn't be out in the sun if he wasn't in water. He usually would be here next to Niki the merling in the tank and making dumb jokes.
This time he was not here. Not that it was my business but I couldn't help but think not only the moon deer went missing. Just as I was about to worry more, he popped up through the water stream with a smile and waved before instantly going through the glass in niki's aquarium.
I waved at him before returning my attention to the caller of the meeting, which happened to be Tubbo. Tubbo seemed completely serious and pissed off, and I had a feeling it had to do with the library. It was one of Tubbo's favourite places. That, his house, and the training course he had for me and Tommy. We were still messing with our flying skills.
"There's books in the library missing. Not many, but a noticeable amount. Someone snuck in." he said, and Ranboo was the one who chimed in. "Well good thing we built that library around the border! They'd never think that they're still at the border, let alone that their far from the middle! Idiots!" He said and let out a laugh. Tubbo seemed to sigh in relief at that, but there's another issue.
"A deer is gone." I said, and everyone's attention turned to me. "I noticed it flying around today. One was missing." Then Tommy spoke. "If it's those hunters again I am going to beat them up SO badly." and soon the whole room was buzzing with anger, sadness and ambitions. They wanted to kill the hunters, and honestly I wasn't opposed to it myself.
"Umm...Tubbo? Which books are missing?" Niki asked, and everyone decided to stay silent, turning their attention to Tubbo. Tubbo shifted from one leg to another, his wings buzzing. "The ones about ocean origins. Sorry Niki, you'll have to teach Jack about the water creatures another day." he said, and Niki pouted while Jack groaned.
I stood up. "I'll go take the book back." I said, and almost everyone gasped. I felt Scott's hand clasping around my wrist. "No your not! It's dangerous out there." he said, and I pulled away. "Exactly. Do you think anyone here looks remotely human, Scott?" I asked, and he seemed to notice that everyone here had hybrid features, some of which can't be hid.
"I can wear my gloves, and I'll wear leggings. Don't worry, I can do it! It'll be fun!" I said with a small smile. "I have to go get ready. I'll leave the forest tomorrow." I said and rose up, flying to my little cottage. I had to work so hard to terraform around it, so now it looked like a hut on a mountain. Another floor was being built so I slept on the couch.
I sighed, throwing my bag in a corner and heading to the enchantment room to brew potions.
It was a staircase downstairs into the basement, where the enchanting and brewing area was. A spiral stairs placed in the middle of the house led down there and it will lead up to the second floor soon enough.
I spiraled down and started to brew strength, regeneration and fire resistance. I didn't need an invisibility, so I was safe in that department.
After what felt like hours, I was done. I stored them into my bag for tomorrow and I laid on the couch, preparing snacks and a movie for when Tommy will come over.
