Work Text:
Sunoo woke up to the sound of his alarm buzzing as he gazed out his window to see the fused warm light of dawn now creeping down the summit.
He shifted his gaze to his side, seeing Jake, who appeared ethereal as the warm golden rays kissed his perfectly chiseled face, the other slowly waking up as he felt someone staring at him. He melts as soon as he opens his eyes and sees Sunoo staring at him as if he's the most valuable thing in the universe.
“Good morning jake!” his smile brighter than the morning light, with such fondness. Jake's cheeks began to heat up as his gaze landed on the other's brilliantly smiling lips, which were brightly smiling for him and only him.
"Good morning sun" he whispered adoringly as he wrapped his arms around sunoo's waist and nuzzled his face against the latter's neck; sunoo's scent rapidly engulfed his sense of smell, causing him to melt even more.
"Sunoo," Jake calls, and the other responds with a quiet hum, signaling that Jake should continue speaking to him. "You're so pretty" he said and the other softly whined about Jake's sudden outburst. "Stop that" Sunoo said, almost a whisper as he felt like his heart was going to launch out of his rib cage any time now and he blames Jake as to why he’s feeling this type of way. Jake giggles at the others reaction, “Stop what?” he asks teasingly.
Sunoo could only respond to him with a playful glare, it's 6 AM and he already has to deal with his endless teasing; to which he actually loves.
He deems himself to be the luckiest person alive right now. He gets to see Jake in all of his imperfections, which he adores. He's the first thing he sees when he wakes up, with his hair sticking up in all directions, his eyes barely open, and the way the sunlight scrunches up his nose with his eyes. That vision alone was perfect for him, and it was enough to make him feel like he was the luckiest person alive right now. He realizes that everyone will drop everything for a chance to be with Jake, and he understands why.
How can I be so lucky? Which country did I save in my last life for me to deserve this? to deserve him?
He stared at the older with so much adoration in his face, a smile bringing up to his face as he examined the other. He let his eyes wander from the latter's thick eyebrows to his thick red plump lips. Oh God, his lips. He could write a whole essay about the others' lips. It's his favorite part of Jake's face, aside from his eyes. He thinks Jake has the prettiest lips in the world, it's like a part of the seven wonders of the world.
How is he so perfect?
"Done staring at my face Sun? or more precisely, at my lips?" said Jake, a small smirk plastered on his face, clearly enjoying teasing the latter.
"Nope, not yet" Sunoo said with a cheeky grin on his face. "I'm not yet done adoring your perfect handsome face" he continued, he gently places his hands on Jake's face, his fingertips delicately tracing every line and angle of his face as if it were the most fragile thing he had ever held—which is partly true.
Jake's eyes slightly widened at the others' statement, he did not expect his answer to be so honest. The younger was completely unaware of the impact he had on him; his ears began to heat up, and blood began to rise up his neck and face. His heart began to pound against his ribcage, and he worried that his ribs would break as a result.
He can feel the latter's gentle fingers trace every line and angle of his face, which is driving him insane. He couldn't hear anything except his heart pounding violently, and he's worried that the younger one can hear it.
It was then he realized the proximity of their faces was very close and he could feel the others' warm breath. One look at Sunoo's face is all it takes for him to melt at his spot. How could someone be so pretty? he mentally cries. Sunoo's eyes are the prettiest, he thought. His fox-like eyes having the prettiest shade of brown is the greatest combination. He could stare at it for eternity and he wouldn't complain one bit. His eyes being one of the reasons why he fell in love with him. The amount of emotions his eyes held, how his eyes transparently expressed his feelings, how his eyes gleamed so bright at the things that made him happy. He would never be tired expressing his love for Sunoo's eyes, he could even write a whole novel about his eyes.
Goodness gracious, I'm so in love.
He lifted his gaze to his eyes, only to see the latter already staring at him with so much fondness. He could feel his face heat up by the sudden eye contact. It's been years and he still can't handle the younger one's gaze. Apart from Sunoo's cousin, Sunghoon, he's the one who taunts Sunoo the most. Yet, he still can't bear his gaze. He enjoys teasing the younger one simply to see how he reacts, which he always finds amusing. Despite being irritated, how does he manage to be so cute?
"Done staring at my face, Jake?" he mocked, a small smile of satisfaction placed on his lips.
"Shut up" all he said as he pulled Sunoo closer to him, hugging him tightly. Resting his chin at the top of the latter's head, he could smell the faint scent of Sunoo's strawberry shampoo—which he finds absolutely adorable.
"I love you Sun, so so much"
"I love you most Jake. I love you more than love, I love you more than the amount of stars scattered around the universe."
