The AU Storage room

Summary:

A place to put ideas and Ficlets, simple to complex, short to long, all sorts of stuff.

Chapter 1: Force sensitive Izuku

Summary:

Izuku is Force sensitive, but not in the normal way. Through the whispers of the Force, he learns of long forgotten Ideas and creations. He is not the only one the force takes a liking to.

Chapter Text

Through the force Izuku is given all kinds of knowledge of Star Wars technology such as weapons and ships, but he himself can’t use the force.

He is driven by a need to make things, determined to create the ideas in his mings, whispered to him by the force. He knows about the Force, and understands it is semi-sentient, but barely anything on force users. He learns of the different ships, each covered in different insignias. When asked the force just says “Not of importance right now”

Being an inventor at a young age, it’s no small chance that Izuku finds Dagoba Beach, and in turn, finds Mei. After meeting for the first time, they become inseparable, Izuku even trying to create an idea for long range communications, which unfortunately fails.

Izuku has never actually been able to successfully make an Idea, which Mei takes as a challenge and gets Izuku to draw up a blueprint for an Idea, which the force is happy to give.

They Get into UA, Izuku going for Hero course while Mei sticks to her guns of the support course.

Also as a fun note, though Izuku can hear the force, he can not use it... This leads to a few interesting moments:

“This would be a lot more convent if I could usE THE FORCE!” He shouts things like that when he gets frustrated when working with the tech.

“It could give me all this information, but it couldn’t give me the ability to wield it.”

“Most of the lightsaber techniques in some way and at some point incorporate welding the force as a part of it, and as you know, I CAN’T DO THAT!”

Izuku flies an X-wing to U.A_ “Yo what the fuck is that thing?” “is that a U.F.O?!” "Technically yeah-“ Mei in the distance, “IZUKU MIDORIYA, YOU BETTER HAVE A GOOD FUCKING REASON FOR NOT SHOWING ME WHATEVER THE HELL THAT THING IS!”

Chapter 2: All quirks have vestiges

Summary:

"Ofa have vestiges of the previous users, what if all quirk carried the vestiges of their quirks."

Chapter Text

"Ofa have vestiges of the previous users, what if all quirk carried the vestiges of their quirks."

The vestiges of a ‘normal’ quirk would be the biological parents of the current user. The quirks would still develop and change going from person to person. But parts of the quirks, the genetics of DNA and quirks are pasted down to their offspring.

Due to this most of the time, the vestiges are the parents, but sometimes this can be good and bad. If a child were to lose their parents they can still talk to the vestiges of them.

Be it a Oneshot or a longer story, the Idea of having your ancestors or family talking to you about your quirk or just talking in general.

A hero couple watching their kid follow in their footsteps to become a hero.

A nervous mom looking over their child, as they go for their first they in university.

A Kid being pressured and haunted by his father to be a Villain, to take over his business.

There are many ways such an Idea could go

(As a note, there are many ways in which the vestiges could be, Say one or both parents die:

-the vestiges could stay the same as when they died, staying as copies of them as they were, personalities and looks and all.

- They could continue to age and match them as they were still alive as if the soul continued ageing.)

Chapter 3: Side By Side

Summary:

An alternative version of Shoto Todoroki's quirk. (as well a small excerpt)

Chapter Text

Instead of him being half and half, with one side of his body using ice and the other using fire, his quirk is based on his emotions with his colder emotions like fear and sadness letting him use Ice from anywhere on his body while hotter emotions like anger and happiness let him use fire.

Before Shouto gets his quirk he notices something is wrong with his family, he isn’t sure why but he is scared and sad because his family are so. Before anyone realised he got his quirk, when he hugs his mother, rei would say it's like hugging a large warm teddy bear, but after this endeavour get annoyed as Shouto hasn’t shown his quirk and starts shouting at Rei. Poor Shouto being scared and worried for his mother, wanting to protect her, uses his quirk unknowingly to shoot ice at Endeavour. Endevour looks at him, some in fear, some in relief (if only for a moment) and one looks in disappointment and anger. He expected Shouto to have a mix of fire and ice from his looks, thinking to himself he realises that he just needs to get Shouto to manifest it, as he did with his ice. So he tries that, and fails.

Shouto grows up with endeavour still trying to get Shouto to somehow use his supposed fire part of his quirk. He grows up in fear, of endeavour and what he could and would do to him at any moment, and of never having a fire quirk wanting the “training" to end, to please his father, he grows up in neglect and shame for something he can’t control. He wants to “be” someone, not ‘endeavour son’, not a ‘failure’.

Its not until he gets to UA that things change for him. Aizawa notices almost instantly and goes to Nezu to talk about what might be happing. Shouto starts to make friends, starts to untense and bring his walls down, slowly starts to warm up. It's only after the sports festival (which in this takes place later on, maybe by a month or so) that he starts to feel almost a lick of flame in his chest. Thinking he is slightly sick he goes to school. During training, he stops and watches his classmates practising and training, watches his *friends* he thinks, with a smile sliding onto his face. Suddenly everyone has stopped and is staring at him. Confused he looks around seeing what’s wrong, only to see fire, not around him but on him, *from* him.

He freezes staring at them. He starts… laughing. What starts are small chuckles to screaming laughter, his flame roaring higher and higher, tears on his face dry out before they can run their course.

Chapter 4: One For All Weapons

Summary:

OFA doesn't give the user a massive boost in strength but a powerful weapon to use, from a staff to a bow to a spear to a broadsword. All Might is known for his signature weapon, his massive broadsword able to cut through almost anything. So when All Might passes on OFA he expects Izuku to get something like a grand sword and shield capable of stopping any attacks, a spear that could pierce the heavens and rain justice or a mighty war hammer that can crush anything in its path, something worthy of the next holder of One for All. Instead, Izuku gets a ...

Chapter Text

What if One For All didn’t manifest in a well of strength of power to draw from, but a weapon that can be summoned. A weapon that perfectly compliments the user's abilities. These can reach from a staff to a bow, a spear to a broadsword, anything was possible.

Since All Might wouldn’t have his extreme strength, what does he use instead? This All Might is known for his signature weapon, a massive broadsword able to cut through all most anything. The hero is never seen with his trusted blade by his side, unmarked and never damaged in all of his career. Yet, after a brief disappearance, he has now been seen using a broken weapon. Some say it was a new sword, a small change in style to help fight better. Others say it is his first blade that was damaged but is still used, for whatever reason. One thing is that no one knows what happened to it.

Until the man meets Izuku Midoriya. Asking if he could be a hero...

What else could he say but yes? All he was, was a man with a sword in his hands and a dream to reach for. He calls for the boy, telling him to go follow his dream, but never go alone. Learn to defend yourself, how to defend others. Learn what it truly means to be a hero, not someone who was in it purely for fame or power, but to save those around him. “If you wanted to I would be more than happy to-”.

Explosions rain off in the distance stopping him, and unknowingly the boy from his shock. He bids farewell but is sure that somehow they will meet again.

Before Izuku can say another word All Might is gone. The sound of near-silent footsteps vanishes quickly. Leaving only the silent thoughts and words unsaid behind. Despite all that was said to him, he still wanted more. He chased after him, towards the rising smoke. Getting closer the sounds explosion still ring through the air, passing more and more people, gathered together by the noise. He reaches the source, looking desperately for All Might. Instead, he sees the fearful eyes of his old friend.

Suddenly every thought goes out the window, the only one left being run. So he does.

His body fatigued and tired, his arms sore weak, All Might sees a young boy run past him. In that brief moment, he sees it's the young boy who had asked him moments ago if he could be a hero, and sees the determination in his eyes. When the boy has run far past him, throwing his bag and digging to free his friend, he wonders why the boy even asked.

Summoning his sword he steps forward, he gives a final blow, freeing the two innocents. While the victim was dazed and the people were cheering, he knees down in front of the young boy. "I think," He says with a small chuckle, "That this answers your question young man." Izuku looks in confusion, staring up at his hero.

All Might looks at the crowd before back at Midoriya, "Why don't we talk later, do you know the beach nearby? Dagoba, I think?" Izuku nods silently. "Just so we are clear, I would be more than happy to help you become a hero" He states, "However if you are willing to, I would be more than happy to personally train you."

The days on the beach after that first meet pass by, and under the training given by All Might now Yagi Toshinori to him, the beach becomes cleaner as well.

Eventually, Toshinori asks to speak to Izuku about something different, rather than the usual talk. He talks to him about his quirk, his weapon and the capabilities of it. The summoning and dismissal he can do. To conjure his blade, rather than what people thought of him carrying the blade everywhere.

Izuku asks If his quirk is the summoning of different set objects. Despite his best guesses, Izuku has never been able to figure out what All Might's quirk truly was, like many others.

With a smile, Toshinori says no. He goes on the explain what the quirk was. It was his weapon, his blade. The quirk was the weapon. He goes on to example how the quirk he has is not his own, that it was passed down to him, as one may pass down a sword from master to student.

If he was willing, He wanted to pass down the quirk to Izuku. He talks of how he is no longer at his peak, his prime has long passed. He talks about how "All Might" is so coming to an end. Everyone knows the state of his weapon, it's not going to last much longer. He isn't going to last much longer.

He pauses, looking to Izuku, "You don't have to, please remember that. I don't want to pressure you into taking this when you are not wanting to," he says quietly. Izuku stays quiet for a few minutes, looking out to the sea. Finally, he says with a smile on his face, "Toshinori, I would be more than happy to accept. I may not be truly ready to be a hero just yet, but I swear I will make you proud!"

They wait a week or before they proceed with quirk training, starting with the transaction of said quirk. They talk about possible weapons Izuku could get. Through Toshinori's experience with the quirk, they theorise that the quirk is usually a simple and common weapon. one that matches and reflects the user. Unfortunately, there is only so much research and thinking that can be done.

Izuku stands nervously on the beach having eaten the hair from Toshnori, the look on Izuku face made him laugh for a good few minutes, managing to even get a photo. Closing his quirk, he tries to do what Toshinori suggested. Imagine your quirk in your hands, instead of it being in the centre of your chest, move it. Do that until you can feel something in your hand. Don't open your eyes straight away. Wait until your quirk feels out away from your chest. Not enough and nothing will happen, or it will be there but only as an illusion.

Toshinori watches from the side, wondering just what OFA will turn into for him. He thinks it might be a long sword, but that might not be the case. After all, when he first summoned his weapon he fell face-first into the dirt with the weight of it, and his master Nana laughed for ten minutes at the sheer difference from the small sunflower stalk compared to the massive claymore.

"I think I got it!" Izuku shouts in excitement, snapping Toshinori out of his thoughts. He looks to Izuku and sees a small mass of green energy, lighting arcs racing around his hands and forearms. Slowly, with concentration from Izuku, the energy clams down and forms into two separate shapes in his hands. Toshinori looks in surprise, he hadn't thought of the possibility of a dual-wielding weapon.

Izuku opens his eyes, buzzing with excitement, and looks to his hands to see a pair of daggers. A simple un-unique undecorated pair of silver daggers with dark green leather handles. He stares at them for a minute before looking at Toshnori. "I know this is great, I managed to use the quirk after all!" he quickly says, "But that was a bit anticlimactic, no?".

Chapter 5: Lost Cause

Summary:

Izuku was abandoned by his parents because of his quirklessness, while his twin and older brother were kept. As time passes Izuku forget about his family, only remembering the parents that left him. As fate would have, he meets two very confused green-haired siblings at UA.

Chapter Text

The main story for this au would just be filled with family fluff.

Izuku had siblings that he forgot about, which he meets at UA

There are an older brother Akatani, and Izuku' twin Izumi.

While Akatani has a fire quirk, Izumi has a telekinesis quirk.

Izuku's brother is in class 3-A, while his twin sister is in 1-A, the same class as him. The first time Akatani meets Izuku is when he goes to meet Izumi and calls out Izu, a nickname for Izumi. However, since Izuku's and Izuki's names are so similar they both react, turning to Akatani. If asked about later he would swear he saw double, before seeing that they were indeed two people. Basically, he accidentally mistakes izuku for his twin, leading to them hanging out together with the big bro getting more and more certain that izuku is his lost brother. He was old enough to vaguely remember having another sibling when he was younger.

A good amount of people believe that izuku and Izumi are related and assume so until they are told by them that they are not, and are like “… I’m sorry what?” Despite Izuku's and Izumi's attempts to tell people, they don't know each other, people are convinced that they are related.

Izumi: her quirk can pull objects towards her body. If she pulls something lighter than her to object moves, but if the object is heavier than her she moves towards the object.

She wears training weights most of the time, for training but also to make her quirk more effective.

Has the same coloured hair as izuku, as well as green eyes. She mostly takes after her mother.

Akatani: his quirk causes one of his lungs to constantly produce a flammable gas that he can expel anywhere on his body. The gas can build up over time so he has a reserve but has to burn the gas to not overload the gas. While he can expel gas anywhere, for example on his hands and feet so he could fly like Iron man, his quirk is most effective when he uses his mouth. The gas mixed with his saliva creates the equivalent of a flamethrower from his mouth.

Has black hair with hints of green in the right lighting, and has yellow eyes with a ring of light green on the outside.

All siblings have freckles from their dad

How would Inko and Hisashi be like in this? They have already gotten rid of one child for being imperfect, so how would they live with their children. They could be quite controlling, wanting to have a perfect family. At the time both of them remember one of their siblings just disappearing, so they were scared and confused as to what happened. As they got older become more and more controlling over what they did, what they wore, who were they with, where did they go, when they could see them.

Akatani finally calls CPS to report his parents after a few years when he realises what they are doing is wrong.

The siblings become adopted after they are out of their parents' custody. Izumi and Akatani end up with Aizawa and Hizashi, getting fostered and then adopted by them, while Izuku is still in the orphanage.

This allow for Aizawa and Hizashi to get invaded with izuku, after hearing about him around school and talking and talking to the kids.

With Akatani in 3-A, he could be friends with Mirio, Nejire and Tamaki. That would lead to some fun, plus Akatani would be a fun older brother with experience so he can help Izuku.

In the USJ some of the 3 years come with them to help out with teaching. That being the Big 3 and Akatani.

Izuku has a quirk, but he doesn't know he has one. Going with a matching quirk to Izumi's one, a push the other pull. Quirk is a mix of mental and physical, physical as of body weight. His quirk is pretty much the same as Izumi's quirk only instead of pulling objects towards his body he pushes it. If he pushes something lighter than him the object moves away, but if the object is heavier than him he moves away from the object.

Izuku has used his quirk before, but accidentally or subconsciously and when he has it has been in small rooms with light to medium objects. When he feels too overwhelmed he tries to push everything away, but because everything is too heavy or is against a wall, he is crushed by the force of his quirk. This causes him to have claustrophobia.

Partly with his quirk, and part of his personality, his first instinct with a problem or person is to just push them away.

While Izumi has the opposite, in wanting to bring them in and help, and become stressed over something they shouldn’t

And now, and excerpt of the possible story

When Izuku is born everything was ok, the parents were happy over their new son, their flesh and blood. They loved and played and grew up with them, years passing in minutes. But that clock stopped the moment something was found. Their child was quirkless. No longer did seeing their child fill them will joy but drain it, leaving only bitterness and hate. The poor child had no idea what was happening to their parents, that they were no longer looking at them with a smile, no longer saying good night, no longer paying attention or even caring about him.

It hit its peak one day, they don’t know what caused it and they will never know. It was late at night after another bland dinner when their parents said that they were going to see a movie. When the child asked what they were going to see, the child is tired and slightly sleepy didn’t question when they answered ‘the new all might movie’ when the most recent movie was months ago. They didn’t question the silence of the car journey, which used to be filled with chatter and music. They didn’t question when they saw that they were going the wrong way. They finally stopped in front of a large innocuous building, with one of the parents getting out of the car and going to help the child out. When they were out on the ground they were given a small envelope saying “this is for you to get you into the building”. As the child looked at the paper they were given, the parent gets back into the car.

Leaving the child. Leaving them standing there. Leaving them standing outside the building they would come to know well. Leaving the child's life forever.

Scared and confused the child opened the envelope. It read “please take care of Izuku Midoriya Deku”

Years later the child would think back to what the worse things about that envelope, and it wasn’t that it wasn't signed though they would never come to care, wasn’t that it was the only thing they left them with. It was that they tried to get rid of his name, it was that they tried to call him Deku.

Chapter 6: Born and Raised

Summary:

In which Link is raised in the different places and cultures of Hyrule.

Chapter Text

In which I explore what could of happened had Link grown up in a different region, instead of Hyrule.

I know Gerudo Link is well known AU, but I have rarely seen anything which looks at the other cultures. The Zora, Goron and Rito are all unique and Interesting people and places.

For starters, Take the Rito:

- he learns to use a bow, instead of a sword, with the bow being the main weapon used by the Rito.

- He would have his Glider Pre-Calamity, which he needed to keep up with the other Rito he grew up with.

- He would much prefer the cold since he grew up in it. Unless the winds bring the cold down from the mountains he would be seen walking around in just a t-shirt and shorts.

That's just a few examples.

Chapter 7: Radiation child

Summary:

Izuku gives off radiation. If someone is in his presence too long? They are killed by irradiation.
So, Izuku searches for away around. It just so happens that some great technology can be made when power with radiation.

(Fallout crossover)

Chapter Text

Izukus quirk causes his body to give off nuclear radiation, which he has to wear a suit to not affect everyone around them, covering their body from the neck downwards. The head can be left uncovered unless izuku get emotional which causes more radiation to leak out making him need to put the helmet to keep others safe. Izuku is a hero/support hero, being in the hero course but spending as much time as they can in the supported studio. They find a way to collect the radiation they give of and content in the power cell, which he calls a "fusion cell”. With the powerful source of energy, he goes on to create a mech suit powered by the fusion cell called “power armour”.

He continues to create things to be powered by fusions cells and reactor technology. This goes to robot companions and workers. Those are the Mr handy bots, the protection, the eyebolts, assaultron, (look up more fallout robots).

Thirteen is a hero idol and a parental figure for Izuku. He was possibly left to the child services as the parents couldn’t take care of him or an incident causes him to lose his parents. Thirteen adopts/fosters him as she isn’t affected by his quirk and can help him with the extra requirements and processes he needed to take for his quirk, similar to thirteen and her quirk. They aren’t affected by izuku as their quirk protects them, allowing izuku a have a conversation with someone with any precautions in the way between them.

Izuku always looked up to thirteen, through both their quirk and the requirements the quirk, or disadvantages gives to their users.

It took them a while to find a way for izuku to be able to even walk near people, let alone touch them. The biggest thing that helped was thirteen themselves coming to help and support them. They were able to give some advice and designs that could be used in the creation of the suit needed.

There were many versions of the suits, most being designed and made by izuku, with the help of others here and there when he didn’t have the knowledge to carry out the idea. That left him with many inventions being made. These range from trying to contain his radiation, others were trying to utilise the radiation as an energy source to power inventions, and some that did both.

The first of many things to come that were made was the “vault suit”. It was designed to capture and hold rotation within the suit, stopping it from escaping and harming people or objects. The first design was quite clunky but it got the job done, it was more than enough that it allowed them to interact with a person by talking through a tv screen.

Some of the other designs were the pip-boy 3000 (yes there were that many versions, it is one of the longest projects and is constantly upgrading and improving with new tech, he has nothing but free alone time.) can tech work normally under radiation, tech can be affected by gamma radiation, it affects more electrical compotes, which cause izuku to need to back equipment that can withstand his radiation ergo the fallout computers and tech) another was the creation of robot companions. He would admit to some that part of the reason he created the robots was that he was quite lonely, and wanted friends and companions that didn’t need to worry about radiation.

When they move to UA a special bunker is made under the 1-A dorms to act as Izuku's dorm room. It allowed him to take off his suit and relax without worrying about hurting other people. The bunker only allows izuku and people that can’t be harmed by izuku into the place and goes through multiple checks to ensure that no one that would be in harm's way could be hurt. Thirteen loves to visit izuku as they aren’t affected by izuku as their quirk protects them

Izuku wants to become a hero using his tech and his quirk, to show that any quirk can be a hero’s quirk, no matter how dangerous it seems to be.

What should izuku wear as his hero uniform? Should he wear something like combat gear, or should he just arrive and the battle training decked in his power armour?

When All Might tells him that he has to get out of the suit and that he can’t use it for the battle training, izuku just stands there for a moment in shock. While Izuku's mouth is open in shock and is bewildered by AM, all anyone else can see is a massive suit of power armour standing there emotionless and imposing. Denki whispers, “What are they doing?” Mine whispers back, “They’re just standing there, *menacingly*"

When he gets his thoughts back together, sounding annoyed he argues back saying that there is no reason that he isn’t allowed to not wear his hero uniform, and that this is one of his only suits that is battle worthy. If he was to get out of the suit or the suit was unable to protect him, he could irradiate everyone in the room and possibly the building as well. “But you should know all of this, have you actually done your job. We aren’t even meant to be doing this! We're just meant to be going over of uniform as see what needs changing, improved or removed, Thirteen told they were going to help with the class, so if you have just left them in one of the halls waiting for us not knowing that you are pulling stupid shit, I swear to god that between death and me? You will want the release of death a thousand times over…"

Depending on his emotional state, the amount of radiation can increase and right now he was a bit ticked off because of all might.

Tempted to have him go against Mineta just so izuku can punch the shit out of him. Jiro as a partner? Tokoyami? Would izuku be jealous of Tokoyami because he has Dark Shadow? He had never needed to be alone, separated from everyone else, always to be in the company of another...

Goes against Denki and ____ and is paired with ______

See Denki's reactions to izuku not caring about his electrical attacks.

Also, why isn’t it thought that Denki knows his electronics, like growing up with a family of electricians and in an electronics shop?? He needs to know how much electricity is needed for some products or devices, or an understanding of how these devices work?

It's like a Gavin Free type of situation, he knows a lot and knows what is talking about in stuff talking about one specific topic, but when it comes to most other things he is a dumbass, or just has really stupid and strange thoughts. (Could take quotes from Gavin when at AH?)

A topic in class comes up to do with the science of engineering and to do with electronics, and in either class or the dorms, Mina says she can’t do this to which Denki asks what part is she stuck on. Mina says tiredly about the electronics part she is stuck on and Denki just goes, "Oh that, ok so here's what is happening", and goes through the entire thing helping Mina and some people sitting nearby you were also stuck on it. By the end, everyone is just staring at Denki when he finishes talking. What” Denki asks, wondering why everyone is looking at him, “dude the hell was that?! How did you know all of that? I thought you were like us!”

“Eh?”

“My guy you just went through an entire couple of questions with extra info and helpful stuff, while being correct according to Yamomo and Midoriya! Again, how do you know all of that, and why have you been hiding that?”

“The topic just never came up."

This ends up with Denki being really confused because he thought that the amount of electricity he used would have shorted out the battery for *a mech suit* of all things, but he has to be honest and had to make an estimate, but his quirk should have done *something*. But no, the giant mech, that might have well had *fuck off* painted on the front, just continued walking towards him.

Sport festival

Izuku can’t take part in the festival. He would need to wear one of his suits for the festival and he is worried that if something were to go wrong he could irradiate hundreds of people and that only one suit that he could wear that could withstand these trials and tests is his power armour. He would be allowed to wear it as, even though he has made it himself, he is not part of the support so he can’t have support items, and that he thinks it would be unfair for everyone else as they can’t have support items and he has a suit of power armour, especially if he got to the 1v1s.

Tenko was found by Miss Joke, and was raised to be a good person and given the love he should have gotten. Izuku and Tenko meet Thirteen the same way.

Izuku met thirteen when izuku was struggling with his quirk. People were finding it a tough time to try and contain the product of his quirk while also allowing him to be able to go near and talk to other people. Thirteen had made it a personal mission to help those that have difficult quirks to live with, from being destructive, “villainous” or simply hard to live in a normal setting, needing special requirements to live normally. They had just finished their patrol and was heading to their agency when they got a call. Answering the call, they were told by their receptionist that there was a recent kid that had moved into the area because of their quirk and suggested to they could visit the kid, as part of Thirteen care and support system. Thirteen was always willing to help another with their quirk, especially a child. They replied they can talk about it when they return but that they are definitely interested.

When thirteen arrives they talk to the receptionist to learn more about the kid. The more they learned the more they wanted to go and meet this poor child. It turned out the reason the kid, Izuku Midoriya, was because his quirk was causing damage to people and the building and areas nearby. When they asked about the boy's quirk, they were surprised that his quirk was that he constantly gave of radiation from his body and nothing else. They learned they couldn’t go near another without harming them unless they were in a protective suit and even then he still had to keep his distance. They learned that the reason he moved into the area was because of an old war bunker nearby. They deemed it one of the only places he could safely live without causing harm to the area.

Finally, Thirteen stood up and said to cancel anything they had for the next few days, they were going to see the kid. They were going to help in any way they can.

It took a few days to be able to visit, because of the worry of the radiation of the child and the radiation within the bunker, but it was found that because of thirteens quirk they were not affected by radiation. With this development, the worries were gone and the rest of the process with smooth sailing. As they approached the bunker they were getting nervous. Not from the thought of the radiation but from the kid. How would they react to seeing them?

Chapter 8: The power of soulmates

Summary:

A soulmate quirk that gives you a small amount of your soulmates quirks, these soul mates can be platonic, romantic, parental, rivals and enemies, anyone that fate would bring together/with know for a lifetime or constantly know and affect each other.

Chapter Text

A soulmate quirk that gives you a small amount of your soulmates quirks, these soul mates can be platonic, romantic, parental, rivals and enemies, anyone that fate would bring together/with know for a lifetime or constantly know and affect each other.

The twist to having this is having markings that represent your soulmates

The Midoriya family are at first confused by all of the markings that has just appeared on their child, seeing as neither of their quirks were similar in that way, it was only until they went to a quirk specialist, and quite a lot of them did they find out their kid's quirk was a rare type of quirk, a ’soulmate’ quirk, in which he had markings the collated with someone who is a soulmate in some way. Being platonic, romantic, parental, rivals and enemies, the main bitch being that they are a large part of her life, being good or bad. She struggled with her quirk as when someone has a quirk they have a kind of instinctive knowledge of how they are able to use their quirk, but as their quirk is to have the markings of the other, they have an instinct that they are able to use the quirk of their soulmate, but only a small amount, they didn’t appear until either the soulmate if their quirk had appeared. They know how many soulmates they have if the soulmates are alive but only get the marking when a person gets their quirk. They know how many soulmates they have by looking at her body for the district markings, but also by instinct, so it was strange for him when he suddenly knew he had another soulmate but was unable to see any new markings.

They spend most of their free time trying to find out what the quirks of the marking were. Some came quite quickly, one being a small cat made of darkness that came from one of the marks, to which they named Void, so they were never alone, another was one that allowed him to talk to animals. It was then that they released that when using one of the quirks, was that the marking of said quirk would feel *strange*, it was hard to describe, but they could feel something when they used a quirk.

It was one hell of a time when the sugar quirk came in, they were just eating a biscuit and went to open a door only to have it slam open much harder than it should have (to the only thing that made the experience less embarrassing was that somewhere someone else was going through the exact same thing). Some were fun but very dangerous, like the explosions and the electricity, at least they gained so of the benefits and slight mutation from the original quirk.

Also one of the quirks appear in the form of some exhaust on the back of their calves, how were their engine exhaust as a quirk, like the hell?!

Some of the quirks annoyed him to no end, like the sparkles on their sternum and the belly button, what hell do they do, he's tried all they can think of yet they still do nothing!! As they got older more were able to be used, like the tape quirk, *a tape quirk* I mean it can be useful like needing some extra tape or even better when it got strong enough to hold their weight, the first thing they did was to go learn some gymnastics, for the muscles and fitness it would give, but also the muscle merit and the balance it would give to help with using the tape to swing about, taking a massive amount of inspiration from spiderman.

The pink finger pads, or zero gravity quirk was awesome, even with the downside of nausea, he didn’t use it on himself often, because of his other quirks but it was indescribable the feeling of floating, being tied down by nothing.

Some bad things that came from the markings were the remarks about them, from classmates confused from where they came from and spreading some rumours, despite explaining it was his quirk, though that only lasted until middle school were the people were more open-minded on the topic. Another downside was having people look at him strangely and have some shopkeepers, police and even heroes stop and ask him about the markings, some think they have some shady meaning. Some people and one stupid hero think they were yakuza tattoos. The hero, despite them showing his id with the note of the quirk causes their markings, still ignored him and took him to the nearest police station under suspicion of dangerous activity. Luckily the station had one defective who could tell if someone was lying or telling the truth. It turned out that the hero was investigating on the locals to get a look at the area and made some very bad assumptions which lead them to think that there was a yakuza in the local area and that they were part of this yakuza.

As he got older there are many incidents including the sugar accident. He once accidentally got his parent to get him McDonalds by ‘brainwashing’ them (they call it hypnotising). He also set fire and also froze a couch at the same time, so that was fun. It was a great time during gymnastics when they discovered their ‘extra limb’ quirks, being the tail and multi arms. (As a note they have named all the quirks on their own, not what the soulmates call them) the first thing they did was a test and try out the new limps going through different gymnastic exercises. He found out about the armour quirk when someone tried to jump scare him and accidentally knocking them out by walking the other in the head with the hardened arms, it was also recorded to his embarrassment. He only released that the quirk for the jack-cord marking had always been active when during a check-up at the doctors, where they noticed that his hearing was extremely sensitive and was able to hear quite well.

It was a rare occurrence when a new making appeared, as the meant a new quirk, but more importantly and new soulmate. When the marking of the right wrist appeared the day of the exam they were amazed but had little time to think about with the exam coming, but would constantly glance at it thought the tests.

One of the concerning marks was a small horn on one side of their forehead, which would flicker and turn grey only to change back split seconds later. Rarely did anyone see it happen, those people being his parents, himself and random strangers on the train. he would feel the almost tearing in their heart before it would be gone with no traces of it happening. They went to the doctors to see what was wrong with him, but they could not find any medical issues or problems and there was no history of heart problems in the family they went with the thought of the problem being quirk related. he was asked if he can remember if they had experienced anything like what they had felt before, and they have a vague feeling of it has happened before and it was linked to the cloud marking they had. When asking the parents, the question came up that had any of his markings changed before, being unsure they decided to look into old photographs of them to see if there were any differences.

It took only a week to find a picture that showed that the cloud marking was once blue, not grey. It was also at that time that the quirk for that marking increased inability by a large amount as if it were a fully developed quirk.

They talked with a quirk counsellor and came to the conclusion take the grey marking was caused by the death of the soulmate, and that the quirk of the soulmate was fully transferred to him. It only left more questions as if the marking flickering was caused by death, how was it happening repeatedly?

When they weren’t trying to figure out what their marking’s quirks were, they were training the quirks they had. Void was one that was constantly in use so there wasn’t much they could do to train, besides that they were quite cuddly and lazy. It mostly included finding the maximum of the quirk, and then pushing the limit further.

They actually found out what one of their quirks were when walking about the city. They were just walking to the shop only to have to said shop being robbed. The hero that responded to the crime was Ingenium. They had always liked the hero but now that they saw him quirk in action, released the similar to the markings on his legs, he managed to get to talk to him and ask him about his quirk because “I have a similar quirk and was wondering if they work differently”  they talked

Coming up to the USJ his cloud mark had started to change, it had slowly but noticeably changed from a dark muted grey to a dark purple with hints of bright yellow.

Everyone who knew of this was confused as to the strange having never had this happen before.

When they arrive at the USJ and thirteen finishes speaking he feels a pull from their cloud marking. The only time he felt this pull on a marking was when a soulmate was using their quirks near him, so why was the marking of a dead one pulling?

They know the number of soulmates they have at any time, and they know when a soulmate has appeared or died by the number increasing or decreasing.

For example when Eri was born, they were sitting in class working through the maths in front of him, he is interrupted when his mind tells him, *27*. That was all it said by it was so much more. They froze then jerker’s upright releasing what this meant. Another soulmate… *Another soulmate!!*.

While they are sitting there silently blue screened the bell goes and they leave for school. When he gets home he still thinking about it, so when he bursts in the door they shout “I’VE GOT A NEW SOULMATE!” There’s a moment of silence, before there are several bumps and crashes around the house as the family run towards him.

Chapter 9: Force Sensitive Izuku, Part 2

Summary:

It was only when Izuku was a young age when he realised that he knew things he shouldn’t, the best route between stars, the knowledge the other aliens are out there, how to speak and read languages that haven’t been spoken in thousands of years on distant planets.

A short expansion on the Force-sensitive Izuku.

Chapter Text

It was only when Izuku was a young age when he realised that he knew things he shouldn’t, the best route between stars, the knowledge the other aliens are out there, how to speak and read languages that haven’t been spoken in thousands of years on distant planets. He knew how to create ships the size of a city and be able to make them move fast enough to turn light-years into minutes.

When Izuku was younger he was always trying to create the plans and ideas that were inside his head. He was always stopped before he could gather the right materials or finish the project before it was taken and thrown out for ‘being too dangerous’. It was only when he found the dumping beach, did he finally find his first workspace. A place in which one could stop him. A space that could give him the space and resources needed to create the plans whispered to him.

Izuku has a connection to the force, the force grants him knowledge of the technology used by past civilisations and species, as well as giving him a kind of danger sense. The sense is more of Izuku listening to the force to hear anything that might happen to or near him. This is how Izuku keeps avoiding Bakugo when he tries to fight him. Bakugo sees Izuku as an idiot and a coward to having such a great quirk (Izuku has registered his quirk as danger sense, giving him a kind of premonition) and not wanting to be a hero, and waste time creating useless junk.

(At the time Izuku only wanted to build his ideas, but as he got older he found that he wanted to help others and become a hero, with the help of the force and his creations)

Izuku could create many things, from small weapons like blasters and small droids to large ships, if he only had the right tools. He was told of an old bunker near the city that was close to the beach. Izuku was confused by the fact that there was a bunker-like this near such a city and it hasn’t been found, as well as the look and stuff within the bunker, but the force would not tell the original purpose for the creation and use of the old bunker. Within the bunker, it was mostly ruined, with many of the doors, not opening and the corridors that were cut short by a broken ceiling. However, he found what looked like an old workbench covered in strange and unique tools. Every single one of the tools he saw on the table, he knew what they did, how to use them and how to make them. He has made many attempts to create the old tools that sat before with many failures as the result.

Connected to the workshop was a large hanger with a ceiling that was able to open to the sky, but was caught in a mess of vines and roots coming through the partial gap. The only light in the room came through the small gaps in the plants, leaving gleaming trails of light in the dusty hanger. In the hanger were piles of scrap and old parts in the corners and pushed against the walls, and sitting almost hidden in plain sight was a tarp-covered mound. As he approached the mound, ideas started to flow into his mind as to what it could be, it could have been anything. As he touched the tarp, a thought struck him. What if this was something the force has whispered to him about, some old technology for a past time. He had already seen some other ideas that shouldn’t exist. But they do…

Could he dare hope? Could he dare imagine? As he gripped the tarp, he thought of the hundreds of ideas that could be in front of him. Wanting- no yearning to know, he rips off the tarp.

What sits before him is an old battered and worn spacecraft. Some of the parts were missing and it was dented and singed in some places. But what Izuku saw before him was something he has imagined before, it was one of the first more complex ideas that were whispered to him. Before him, was an X-wing...

He didn’t recognise the insignias on the side of the ship, but that was for a later date. How the hell was there an idea physically in front of him?! He’s tried hundreds of times trying to make the simplest of ideas a reality, yet here one stands, and it was not made by his hands. He looked at the cockpit and wondered for a moment what would happen if he were to get into the ship… nothing could go bad right? Why not? It’s not like anyone can stop him in the place only the force knew of.

He sees that a ladder is attached to the side, used to get people into the ship. He grabs the ladder and climbs the small distance. Every second it takes to reach the top, his mind in remembering and dwelling on every part of the ship. The wings the landing gear the engines the guns the panels the rivets every switch and wire within the piece of seemingly alien technology. Yet it looks… like human technology, the wires, the gauges, the switches, the bolts the rivets. They all look like human-made them.

He finally reached the top. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he reaches for what he knows is the manual release of the cockpit windshield.

He looks down to see a lone helmet sitting on the old and well-worn leather of the seat, sees the dark screens covered in tiny scratches, sees the buttons with colour worn down by countless presses, sees the joystick that has been used so much that the once round grip and turned into several notches as if for fingers. He looks back at the helmet and sees the same insignia on the side. It must have belonged to the original pilot. *Wait…*

Someone flew this, has flow time and time again for years, and yet he found it inside an abandoned bunker that no one except the force knew about. Was his flow by someone from the other galaxy? How did they reach earth? Where are they now? I think that can be answered by them probably being death, seeing the state of the bunker.

Could this thing fly? Getting back to the fact that he was in an idea a spaceship. He knew that it could travel through space and around planets, but will it fly in the state it is in?

He finally sits in the cockpit. It was comforting, in a strange way. To see something that you have only imagined right in front of you. Taking a deep breath, he presses the ignition…

It turns on. It works. The ship's dash flickers to life, coming out of a stars knows how long coma.

Smiling he starts going through the warm-up procedures that he knew but never thought about. As he was checking the ship, he got more and more… excited? Nervous? He had no idea what he was feeling right now. After finishing the procedures, he was ready to fly. Fly.

At the thought of flying into the sky and beyond, he grew calm and peaceful as he pushed the throttle.

The in deafening quiet of the workshop the engine *roared* to life, not the small incoherent mumble of a sleepy giant, but the mighty call of a vicious beast. A trusting adventurer, coming back to the call of the sky and stars beyond.

The ship started to hover as the dust was thrown around the hanger. It seemed impossible, that he was flying!

He laughed as the ship continued to rise. Through the roar of the engines, he heard the whispers of the force, suggesting something… fun.

Looking down at the ship's dash he had seen the button the force had whispered to him about, one that was different than the original idea, there was a button which label the had been changed. The button simply read "hanger doors”. Now, what else could Izuku do but press the button?

Pressing the button, he looks up to see the door on the ceiling start to shutter to life. The doors move to the side shaking off the plants that had until now, made their home among the ruins of technology and history. The doors opened to reveal the stars shining down upon him. It was night, how long had he been down here? No, the point right now, he moved the levers and joysticks and so the ship slowly but surely began to rise once more up into the open air, ready to take on the unknown before it.

Looking at the navigations system of the ship, he saw that the data was severely outdated, showing mountains and rivers in wrong positions Just how long had the bunker been here… might as well make the most of the moment. He decided to fly the ship around the close area to update the navigation system. After making a coping of the outdated map (just in case he might need it), he sets off.

Followed by the trail of blue plasma shining bright among the midnight stars.

Chapter 10: We Built This City

Summary:

In which the Pros of 1-A saves a city, and not the the destructive way.

Chapter Text

Izuku and the rest of class 1-A, after they have graduated from UA are sent as one large hero team to a city that is invested by crime and villains

They start by doing what they were trained and taught to do, capturing villains and criminals and taking them to the police.

After a month or two they slowly learn about the people of the city, civilians they constantly run as Ross in the street, people they have arrested before, simple everyday people.

They slowly learn of those they are fighting and arrest and find that they are just everyday people put in bad situations, that the police barely do anything in the city leaving it all the heroes, sometimes making things worse. That the gangs of the city help them more than they do

They slowly become part of the city, doubting the police and investigating them, finding that they are falsely accusing people and are pretty much doing whatever they want as they think no one will oppose them, seeing the heroes and servants to them to do their biding

Eventually, it all comes to a head and the team of heroes go to the police station one night, ruining the place and driving them out of town.

While expecting some backlash from their actions the entire city rejoice in the freedom they now had.

The heroes continue as they did, but instead of fighting and arresting people, they talk, to calm them down and talk them down from their actions.

They talk to the neighbours, the shopkeepers the civilians on the street.

They become part of the city, for the better.

They cut themselves off from the rest of the world, the city free of the government bring their own rules. Public Quirk use is much more lack.

They help the city run in its own way.

Chapter 12: Born and Raised, Rito edition

Summary:

Breath of the wild AU, in which link grows up in one of the other regions of Hyrule.

And this one is in which was raised with the Rito!

Chapter Text

Born and Raised, Rito Edition

There are many differences between Rito!Link and Hyrule!Link, one of which being his main weapon of choice.

With the Rito, he learns the way of the bow with it becoming his main weapon. Due to it being the main weapon used by the Rito Link is eager to link how to use it to fit in with the flock. A small thought about this, when he gets the master Sword he is hesitant to use it as he is more confident with his bow. Together they were raised by Kaneli, The Rito chieftain. A kind and caring father for the two, they are a small but happy family.

Rather than growing up by himself, or in some cases with Zelda, he instead grows up with Revali. They act as brothers, family in everything but blood. They always try to one up the other, but it’s mostly in good faith. Though they seem to not get on well, they will fly to the end of the earth for the other.

Living in the Rito Village in the cold mountains, he much prefers the cold. Unless the winds brings the cold down from the mountains, he is seen walking around in just a short and shorts. Though in colder times he has to wear the Rito snow gear, much to his annoyance and the amusement of Revali.

Due to Link not having wings, the Rito made a glider for Link to fly with the Flock. He Eventually mastered the use of it, which he needs to keep up with the other Rito.

At some point Link is going to get the master sword and at the thought of being the weirder of the master sword, he is excited, proud at getting the chance to prove himself to the world. On the inside he is scared that he might not be able to do it, but he will push on regardless.

Chapter 13: It’s in the programming

Summary:

Horizon Zero dawn different origins.

What if Aloy was raised with a different group rather than being a Nora outcast?

(Slight spoilers for Herizon Zero Dawn)

Chapter Text

“It’s in the programming”
Horizon Zero dawn different origins
Aloy was raised with a different group rather than being a Nora outcast
Different groups could include:

- Carja
- Oseram
- Nora (Raised with them, rather than an outcast)
- Banuk
- Shadow Carja
- Machines

6 different main origins to think about

GAIA (Galdos in potato situatuion? GAIA in Aloy’s Focus?

Pre HZD, Elisebate as her mother, test of lightkeeper protocol

Aloy as a servitore is an Ai but into a robot body, recognise signal or codes? Allows for access of doors?

Should she get a Focus for each origin?
Some would still lead to her getting one, Nora, shadow Carja, maybe Oseram, Definitely with machines.

Some would be harder to explain but possible;

- Carja Aloy
Carja Aloy finds and falls into an old bunker and find the Focus and when called out she claims its use a bit of jewellery, leading to some other hunters wearing similar pieces
It eventually becomes a way to show a hunter's most recent kill or greatest kill.

Carja Aloy is an orphan in Meridian and Meridian Village until Talanah takes her in and raises her, and when Aloy asks her to train her as a hunter of the lodge, the Hunter’s lodge becomes her home, even having a permanent room to stay in the place. At some point, Aloy gives a Focus to Talanah, who is both in awe yet sad that Aloy didn't think she could share it with her without her being mad or angry at Aloy for having that thing and “cheating” with hunting. she is proud of Aloy and her accomplishments.

- Oseram Aloy
Oseram Aloy could find on in the Freeheap for just when out scavenging, learning to
use the focus to its full abilities, finding and identifying different machines and components, helping with cheating armour or new inventions.
Banuk Aloy
Banuk Aloy is not unlikely to find one given the ruins, work with warriors or Shamans,
drive for discovery and curiosity could make her join the shamans,
help and free CYAN? befriends? Does Aloy understand CYAN is not a spirit or god?

- Nora Aloy
Nora Aloy can find one after falling in the same ruin but with friends, such as Vala and Bast (not as much of an asshole with Aloy not as an Outcast, and both Vala and Aloy to keep him in check
Could all three get a focus? Shenanigans ensue, the chaos caused by three kids getting extremely advanced tech. They don’t get found out for their Focuses and trespassing until they are roughly 17-18?
They are thought to be prodigies of the
Tribe (and they are) but one of the matriarchs, Lansra, are superstitious and find them using them, she wants them outcasts until the proving.
While Teersa is close to Aloy, practically raising the girl, she has to follow tribe laws and the three are outcasted for a year and should they fail the Proving to be outcasted for 10 years afterwards.

These ideas can be expanded upon, and I will probably add more stuff on each origin individually, focusing on one origin per chapter? We'll see...

Chapter 14: Fortune's Favored

They aim to get into UA together.

Chapter 15: OFA without the power

Summary:

Ofa original quirk was a quirk that could be passed on, then the stockpiling was added, but what if the stockpiling wasn’t given to him? What if it was just the quirks?

Chapter Text

What if when the person passes on the quirk, the person gaining OFA has access to all the previous users' quirks, no massive amounts of strength just the built-up quirks, with the experience and powers of the quirks staying between the person.

Say one quirk was telekinesis, the constant use of the quirk would make it stronger, and with many years of use, it keeps getting stronger. First, it can lift half a ton in a raise of 20 meters, but a few users later, maybe four/five, I can now lift own a dozen tons and has a range of 5 miles. The quirks themselves constantly get stronger with no reset between users, the progress of the quirk stays. The only problem is that the next user has to get used to using more than one quirk, but also master the quirks to use them safely.

This could either be bio Dadmight to allow Izuku to use all these insanely powerful quirks and have his body be mostly ok with it or just have normal Izuku, with his quirklessness help with his body to adapt to survive the insanely powerful quirks.

During the entire moving process and the short school assembly they had, the short raven headed boy has just kept looking at her strangely. It kinda unnerving them, not to mention the weird looks of the blond raccoon when they waved at them.

"Hey everyone! Meet up in the lobby so we can get to know each other!" Mina shouts in excitement. Over the next few minutes, the few remaining students enter the lobby. Some chatting with each other, some grumbling to themselves, and a small purple thing that had seemingly been thrown down the stairs followed by a massive teen with six arms glaring at it, wiping his hand together.

"So, what do you guys want to talk about? Since we’re going to be living here together for the next few years we should get to know each other”, asks Mina, looking around the group of students.
"We could talk about things we like?” The red-head prompts.
"Great idea Kiri! Anyone else got an idea?” Says Mina
“We could talk about our quirks” the … strange elbow guy muses, eyeing some of the people with the more ’noticeable’ quirks.
“Ooh, could we also add a funny story or incident that happened because of quirks, because I’ve got some great ones” the yellow-haired one adds on, who the punk girl looks at him suspiciously “what are you think of Denki?” Her eyes widen “Denki I swear to god if you bring up that stupid-!”
ANYWAY!” Mina says, speaking our the two,” let's go round the circle and say our names, our quirks, and a fun story that happened because of our quirk. You want to go first…?” Pointing the guy with strange elbows, looking curiously.

"Uh sure? Just as a warning my quirk is complicated and it will take a bit to explain and show completely” they explain before they stand up.
Taking a deep breath, “My quirk is called “soul marks”, with means that I have markings that represent the quirk of my soulmates”, he starts “And no, it not just romantic soulmates, it includes platonic, familia, rivals or enemies as well. Basically anyone who will affect my life in a large way and be in my life for a long time”, he explains, looking at Mina who was about to put their hand up who is now nodding “ah ok, I was wondering, but that sounds so cool! Have you met any of your soulmates?”
“Ah umm…” He looks down at the floor shyly, “I… have only really met 3 of them”
“Do you know how many you have?” The lighting marked boy, Denki was it, asks.
“Twenty-seven” he answers without hesitation.
The students look in surprise by the answer, some in shock and others in confusion.
Denki asks” how do you know how many you have?” “It's a quirk thing” he brushes the question off, “anyway, that's not all everything."
Some eyebrows shoot up, “How can there still be more?” Someone says in surprise, “What else can there be?”, another asks.
“This is the most confusing part of my quirk” he sighs, “Like I said it's complicated”
The blond raccoon grumbles in annoyance shouting “Just get on with it you stupid wall of walking graffiti"
Ignoring whatever is going on with him, he continues, “My quirk… my quirk causes me to have a partial copy of my soulmates quirks.” Bracing for the inevitable shouting.
But there was no shouting.
Only thoughtful faces.

Not wanting to seem awkward he continues, “From the various people I’ve seen, we don’t know if the ability to have the copies is originally part of the quirk, or were enhanced by one of the marks from another soulmate. One of the few I have met thankfully, so we were able to understand what their quirk did”
“Do you want me to show the quirk I can use?”
"Yeah! That would be awesome- wait, you said could use?” Mina asks confused, why would he say that?
“Again, complicated. In simple terms when people have their quirk they have innate instincts on how to use their quirk. For me, I have my instinct such as I know how many soulmates I have and at certain times their wellbeing. The copies of their quirks are byproducts, so I don’t have the instinct on how to use them, some came in be understood more easily than others, and some I to this day don’t know how to use them.” Izuku says, gesturing to the marks visible across his body. “Here, let me show you what I know right now and then I'll show the other marks”, there is a hint of annoyance when he mentions the *other* marks
“First there is Void, you can come out now” looking down at his right shoulder they see a small pure black/purple cat-shaped *something* appear and rest on his shoulder. “Whoah that is so cool!” “Awww it’s so cute!” People are talking over each other but one person and one hidden shadow are staring in shock.
“Void is a small companion quirk, they can help with lifting small objects and depending on the light they get bigger of smaller, and they can only go a certain distance from me,” he said while petting void of the head, to which void purrs in response.
“You can stay out but don’t cause too much trouble”, izuku says to the cat-shaped void, whose only response is what looks like a smug face. They go about stretching before lounging on Izuku’s shoulder.
“Next,” he says focusing back to the group, “We have these,” rolling up his selves.
“As a warning, some of these quirks are quiet power and dangerous. It took me a while to use these quirks without causing damage to both myself and the surroundings.” When Finished rolling up his selves, he visible arms now show previously hidden marks. Cracks racing across his forearms and two bands of colour on his biceps, Blue for the right one, red for the left.
Izuku closes his eyes and focuses. People look with wide eyes as izuku emits fire and ice from his arms

As Izuku goes on explaining what marks and quirks he has, by the end most of the students are silents, staring at Izuku with shock and surprise.
Izuku trails off when he notices no-one is talking. “… Is everything ok?” He asks nervously.
Momo speaks up, “Midoriya, I don't really know how to say this but from what you’ve described and show, and from what I’ve seen of the others here, we all seem to be your… soulmates,” she finishes lamely.

Izuku freezes in place before slowly looking at each person and noticing the tells for their quirks and remembering them using their quirks.

Izuku, having blue screened, does the first thing he can think of.
“You’ll have to give me a moment, I need to call someone. I'll be right back.”
Which was *run*.

They watch as izuku runs out of the room and out of the building while pulling out his phone and desperately calling a number.

"Did… did that just happen?” Kamimari asks quietly, not wanting to disturb the silence.
“What part? The part where Midoriya said he could use more than one quirk, that they were the quirks of his soulmates, used our quirks in front of us without realising that they were ours, when he used out quirks, or that he just ran out the room?” Tokoyami asks conversationally.
“Yes” was all Kaminari could say.

“Hey Izu! Everything ok? You don’t normally call now”
`izuku hesitate before slowly saying,”Hey Mom... So you remember how you said I would probably meet more of my soulmates at UA?”

Or

Have izuku go last in showing his quirk, with him being very quiet and withdrawn. He watches as people show and explain their quirk, and realises after seeing Kirishima's that they had the same quirk, and it only goes on from there. By the time it's Izuku’s turn, they look at him only to see that he’s not there. They look around in confusion searching for Midoriya,” Where did he go?”, Kirishima asks confused, “I didn’t see him leave”
One person, however, was still looking at the seat. Toru stares at it and says slowly over the talking, “He’s right there”
“What? Where?” Kaminari asks trying to see where Toru is looking
“He’s sitting right there” her shirt arm gesturing to the empty seat were Midoriya had been sitting, "He's just invisible"

Chapter 17: Mared with blood

Summary:

What stain the soul can never be washed away, no matter how much one wishes so.

Chapter Text

If the blood of another person touches your skin, it permanently stains it. Because of this, people judge others by their stains, like one would judge others by their quirks. Some ignore them and see the person instead, some will see nothing by the spilt blood on their skin:

Iida after the stain incident, comes back to UA with specks of blood on his face.

Toga Himiko is covered in slashes of blood because of her need for it, and had blood stains around her mouth and dribbles down her chin

All Might wears gloves as his hands are stained by AFO’s blood.

Stain would literally stained in other heroes blood.

Certain weapons are looked down upon by others, as they cause people to bleed, despite if the one wielding such a weapon is saving their lives.

A possible Quirk for Izuku in this AU would be a blood quirk, "blood erasure", if someone touches his blood their quirk is braced until the blood is dry

Within this world, when a persons blood touches another person skin, it becomes permanently stained onto their skin, this only appears roughly a short time after, so some people believe it's a quirk that somehow affected everyone and their next generation.

People who have stains are thought to be more suspicious than others without. Most of the time blood is found on the hands of people, seeing as that is what used to cause an injury to cause blood. Some people are ‘mistakenly’ stain with blood, for example being caught in a villain attack accident getting blood on you, or some even put blood on people on purpose as a way to mock and shame.

Doctors are often seen with more stains than others, seeing as they work in a hospital. Since the blood stains the skin, there are those that will create tattoo-like designs on the skin, most commonly seen with gangs, as a way to show who they are a part of. This with gangs and the rep that gangs get along with the more ‘villainous’ stereotypes go hand in hand with making the public opinion of stains worse.

Izuku has a quirk that either works with using blood or a quirk that can cause cuts and bleed quite easily(exploring the idea of possibly staining others). Others in his class have people who put their blood on him if he causes a wound or even if he doesn’t, they always go for the chest back and upper arms, stuff that can be covered up when needed, but on the day when Bakugo tells izuku to kill himself izuku lashes out at him, which ends up with Bakugo having a mild injury that bleeds a small amount, which Bakugo is a fit of rage from Izuku fighting back, takes his blood-covered hand and hits him in the face with an open hand, causing a massive dark crimson handprint on his face. And he can do nothing about it. Izuku is dazed by the hit and while coming to his senses, Bakugo and his lackeys panic and leave him in the classroom.

Izuku, whose mind is very jumbled and confused, doesn’t realise about the handprint on his face, gets more confused about people staring at him and making moves to get out of his way. Before he can really think about it he gets attacked by the slime villain, who goes to control him only to stop partway upon seeing his face, stating that he didn’t want a stained person as a disguise as that would draw attention to him. Izuku who is still confused, scared and panicking doesn’t help the situation. While the villain is distracted by izuku, All Might appears and takes out the villain. Izuku *still* out of it see all might and wants to try and ask all might but AM sees izuku and his stains and thinks better of it and goes to back his way out but Izuku manages to grab hold of him. They get to the roof when AM goes to chew him out for what he just did, but izuku ask if he can be a hero with his quirk(a quirk that is to do with blood or can cause other to bleed easily), and all might says “with you quirk it could be possible, but the fact that could stain other so easily would have to be something that would try to stop you. That doesn’t even count on how others will think of a hero with marks like yours”

And izuku is like what marks are you talking about, all of his can be hidden well. Before he can ask what he is talking about the explosion happens which lead izuku and all might to the slime villain 2.0.

When they get there the same thing happens with izuku running out, but with the villain being slime he can’t do anything to his body and doesn’t want to cut the eyes or mouth because of the blood so he does the same thing, with more success then cannon getting him mostly out before AM gets the rest.

The heroes go to chew him out but see his face and take him to the side so people won’t see his face, and continue to chew him out, maybe with more prejudice because of his stains, All Might as Yagi, who is able to escape more quickly finds Izuku being told off much more then he should be by the heroes, as decides

Izuku also ends up with so spots and streaks of blood in his arms and hands. He already has a mark on his wrist for a near-death encounter with his mother, they both survived and have healed from the injures, but both are marked by the other from the accident, izuku has a crimson handprint around his wrist.

Chapter 18: Born and Raised, Gerudo edition

Summary:

A more in-depth look into a Link raised by the Gerudo.

Chapter Text

Born and Raised, Gerudo Edition!

Breath of the wild AU, in which link grows up in one of the other regions of Hyrule.

And this one is in which Link was raised by the Gerudo!

Though Gerudo!Link is a well known AU within BOTW fanstuff, this version is quite different from Hyrule!Link, such as the weapons he uses:

While Link still uses a sword, he also uses a shield. Due to one of the main Gerudo weapons, he learns the way of sword and shield. While he likes using a sword, he dislikes the lack of defence. Another reason is that, if you asked him you deny, so he can go shield sledging and sand sledging at a moment's notice.

When Link was found outside the town, Urbosa took him in before she was chieftain. Urbosa acts as a mother figure for Link, teaching him the ways of the Gerudo and looking after him when he gets in trouble, to some she seems like the strict mother (and at times she is) she is still kind and caring for link.

When Link was young, there were those that argued that Link should not be allowed in the town. When Link grew they became confused about their identity, sometimes feeling male, while at other times feeling something else. After a long talk with Urbosa, she realised that she was both male and female. When this was brought to the attention of those against link staying within the town, they relented their words. It's not the first time that one of them was born in a body that didn’t match them completely.

With Link living in the desert, she grew used to the heat of the desert, not needing the amount of protection the usual Hyilain would need. She loves the heat of the desert, finding the seas of sand calming against the world. When he leaves the desert and heads north, even in the Hylian plain he needs to wear extra layers. He always makes a case to pack extra gems to help against the cold. She especially hates the Rito mountains.

Thanks to Urbosa’s teachings, and Link's own fascination and luck, she has a knack for finding and taming sand seals as well as riding with them. To everyone's surprise, this skill transferred to almost all animals across the lands, especially horses. They’ve basically walked up to her to say hi.
One time Link called out for one of the wild horses out in the plains infant of them and one of the wild horses in the herd came running, and also allowed him to ride them with no problems.

When Link has to get the Master Sword, she is found by Hyrule through Zelda, who was visiting Urbosa. Link and Zelda have an almost sibling relationship, with Urbosa being their mother/acting as. They talk every now and then when she visits the town.

At the thought of being the wielder of the master sword, he is conflicted. He had grown up to become a warrior for the Gerudo, to live her life in the desert with some adventures to the grasslands. While uncertain on the inside, he takes the master sword with the grace and seriousness that the situation would require. While he is fine with fighting for the Gerudo, she is unsure as to fighting for the rest of Hyrule. she knows nothing and owes nothing to them.

Chapter 19: Fortune's Favored: Izuku, Mina & Eijiro

Summary:

The loneliest boy, left behind by the world, wanting family.

The story of the first of the Favoured.
Along with the first two after.

Chapter Text

Izuku is the first one to find the warehouses. He finds them abandoned, covered in dust and old and empty boxes and trash. Wanting a place to hang out away from home and school he sets work with creating a spot for himself.

He comes across Mina and Eijiro, when walking around town and heard that they were lost, so he decided to help them find their way. They say that the two’s family had just moved into the area, but from the weary looks and the dirty clothes, he think differently. Regardless he tells them that he has a small place that they could stay in if they wanted to.

They were cautious at first but slowly came to trust him when they continued to talk to him, and found him nothing but honest. Since izuku had found the place, it has changed. There was a good section of the floor cleaned and swept up, and the junk move into a most organised pile, leaving space for the old couches and tables he found, along with a small cooler.

He says it's not much but they are welcome to stay. The duo gets settled (chucking their bags by the couches) and sitting down intending to talk, ending up asleep.

Chapter 20: The Wisdom to Fight, Power to rule, and Courage to know the difference

Summary:

In which the legends were changed by time.

In which in the thousands of the years, the legends were misinterpreted and misunderstood.

In which Zelda is a warrior and Link is a priest.

Chapter Text

In the thousand of years since Ganon was defeated the true purpose has been slightly lost over the years, the fact that the sword is used to defeat Ganon remains true and steady, how it defeats Ganon has changed.

The master sword to them has changed from a weapon to a relic, which is to be used in worship and in rituals when sealing Ganon, not in combat.

Zelda on the other hand, her powers have been seen as the more combative force of the pair, as they see it as the thing that really fights Ganon, and the sword is the medium used to seal Ganon.

So since they see her as the combative half of the duo, she is given knight tracing and more freedom. Though she still has to be sneaky about research as she still hasn’t gotten her power, so Ronan insists on her focusing on her knightly training, believing that will help awaken her powers.

Link is jealous of Zelda as she has her freedom, while he is stuck being a priest to a silent goddess. In a show of his devotion to the goddess, he swears that he shall only speak to the goddess, so he is silent to follow the role of a priest.

When he was younger in the castle, he once tried to use the master sword as a weapon. He starts using the sword, slashing and stabbing the air before he starts moving almost unconsciously, unthinking. He halts to a stop when he hears a door creak open. In fear of getting caught he sheaths the sword and sprints away, hiding in his room. He doesn’t sleep that night, worried that he was seen and h will get in trouble. The next morning Ronan visit and talks to him, pushing him to do more, in hopes of speaking to the goddess, to get some answers. Thinking this was punishment for using the sword as a weapon, he pushes himself to do more as a priest.

What he doesn’t know was that it was Zelda that saw him using the sword. The reason Ronan talked to him was that Zelda had returned from a week trip and her powers were still not there, and he was starting to worry, so he was pushing Link to talk to the goddess to help Zelda get her powers, more thinking of her as they already have the master sword so all they need to worry about in the goddesses power within Zelda.

At some point Link starts to dislike Zelda, being that all he is doing, pushing himself to do more, running himself ruined is all for Zelda while (what he thinks) that Zelda is running around with freedom and being a knight, once his dream of being one, yet he is stuck here in the castle. He hates being called useless.

At first Zelda was slightly jealous of Link because he had the perfect sword, and yet doesn't use it, but as the years passed it disappeared. She respects Link and even looks up to him slightly, impressed and inspired by his drive and devotion. She still thinks of him as a priest (such as having no combat experience and needing to be protected from everything, having lived in the castle his whole life) though she remembers the encounter of Link using the sword when they were young, wielding the sword with what she later recognised after her knighthood training, with skill and mastery. So she thinks sometimes about what he could be like as a knight. As a knight herself, she is much more talkative, more than ready to give her opinion on something. She clashes with Link sometimes with how stubborn about things she can be.

Zelda at some point is put in charge of guarding Link, being the priest's knight. For a good while, Link is rude and dismissive of her, like how Zelda was to Link in canon. It doesn’t help that Link doesn’t speak as well. They go out to different sites, in hope of hearing the goddess and Zelda getting her power.

Just as a note, Link is still fit/in shape/strong due to his upbringing and he wants to be useful and not be useless in a fight, he doesn’t know how to use the sword consciously having never gotten training and hasn’t trained in secret in fear of punishment like last time.

Link keeps getting annoyed at Zelda's protectiveness and (what to him) feels like an unneeded cation, and in even fight all be it fight monsters, she rushes ahead and keeps Link away from the fight. He hates feeling useless but can’t do anything as he would get in the way and he doesn’t have any training.

At some point Link does run off leaving her behind, and finds a place to just rest and be by himself out of the castle for a bit. He just rests and looks over the landscape for a while before he hears a horse approaching and puts his head on his knees and screams in his head. As the horse slows down he turns to see Zelda dismount and walking over to him. She asks if he’s ok, that he can’t run away like that, that he could have gotten hurt and she wouldn’t have been able to help, that to keep him safe she needed to keep an eye on him! His anger after years finally build over.

In a wordless scream of anger and stands, unsheathing the master sword and stabbing it into the ground in front of him. He turns to Zelda who almost steps back at how angry he looks, his hands flying so fast she almost can’t read them "If you want to keep an eye on me, look after the master sword, it’s the only important thing about me!" he runs and jumps and rides off as Zelda stands in shock, looking at the sword and back at Link riding away. She struggles to believe that the Priest of the Goddess left the Master sword behind him. She looks back and forth between the sword and the fading figure of Link, unsure of which to pick before she gets smacked in the face at the revelation of what she was thinking. She runs to her horse and looks to find Link, but she took too long. Link was gone, and she had no idea where he was.

Link rides the roads as fast as his horse will take him, no idea where he is going, just wanting to get away from Zelda and most importantly the master sword. By the time the sun is setting, he comes across a stable. After giving his tired horse to the stable he gets a bed with the few rubbies he had on him and sleeps for the night, too tired both emotionally and physically to think really.

When he wakes up, he reaches for his sword, only to find it isn’t there. He shoots upright, looking for the sword before realising where he was, he was in the stable, he was out of the castle. He had been on an outing with Zelda going to more ruins to pray. He had left the sword on the hill.

In a panic he gets his boots on and runs to his horse and rides off before the stable owner can say goodbye. He galloped along until he notice something felt wrong, he slowed down to try and figure it out.

He felt light? Not in the sense that he was psychically light, though he was as he didn’t have the master sword, something else. Did he feel... free? No burden of the priest's work or the Master sword weighing on him. He felt free. He stops his horse Gallon, breathing in this revelation. He sits there for a minute just taking in the feeling. Gallon whines under him, looking up in worry. He lets him, thinking of where he should go now. He decides to go do the Zora Domain, to see Mipha without all the weight of the priest's roles over him. Happy with the thought he starts making his way.

Chapter 21: Karma's a Bitch

Summary:

What if Izuku was a villain but made it all the way through UA and graduated?

Chapter Text

What if Izuku was a villain but made it all the way through UA and graduated? The same incidents happen, USJ, stain, the camp and more, but Izuku remains unsuspicious, he works with AFO or maybe his own villain group, made of those from the LOV before they joined it, Toga, Dabi twice, the lot. With the 'traitor' he manages to place the blame on someone else, the 'traitor' being in the hero classes or other classes.

When he becomes a Pro-hero, he takes advantage of the corrupt hero society to take down other heroes and run villain operations hidden as hero business. after a few years, he decides to take a more direct approach in taking down false heroes, by betraying the heroes and openly becoming a villain. he chooses to reveal this when he is called in to help with a rescue mission from a fight gone bad, with Bakugo being on the scene. Izuku searches and finds him trapped in a ruined building under rubble, but Izuku looks him in the eyes and says into his coms, "Areas clear, there are no other survivors". Bakugo stares at him in disbelief, trying to figure out what was happening. Izuku looks at him with a smile, not the one to reassure civilians telling them they're ok now, but a twisted monster of a smile, full of hate, pride, and madness.

He says "Oh Kacchan, you don't know how long I have been waiting to see your face in this moment. Karma, my dear Kacchan. Karma will always come to collect its debt." Then walks away, all the while Bakugo is screaming for him to stop. Stop walking away. Stop this stupid act. Stop acting like a Villain. Izuku only looks back with a slight smirk on his face before the rubble trapping Bakugo collapses, erasing him from view.

Into the dust and rubble disappeared Deku, and he who emerged from the dust and rubble was Karma, finally coming to collect the debt of the world that had wronged him.

Chapter 22: Born and Raised, Zora edition

Chapter Text

Born and Raised, Rito Edition

There are many differences between Zora!Link and Hyrule!Link, one being Link's main weapon.

With the Zora, he learns how to use a spear, and if confused when he is told he is to use the master sword rather than a spear as his primary weapon. He grows up learning how to use a spear to become part of the Zora, and in the hope to join the Zora military group.

Growing up with the Zora was a strange experience at first as the Zora barely aged for him. As he gets older, he slowly meets and befriends others when he becomes the Hylian equivalent of a Zorain maturity, child, teen, young adult, but despite growing up he still keeps in contact with all of them.

Given the environment of the Domain, Link has to learn to swim quickly. Though he has difficulty when he was young, as he got older he gets better and better. Link learns to love swimming, as well as the rain and water around. With his constant swimming and adventures with other Zora, he gains the ability to hold his breath for a longer time than normal and has gear like gloves and fins he can wear to swim with the other Zora.

Growing up an orphan in the domain, there were a few that were willing to look after the young Hylian, but in the end, King Dorfan takes him in. Mipha is a sister to link, they grow up, link fast and Mipha slowly. She will always see link as a younger brother even when he is a good head taller than her.

At the thought of being the weirder of the master sword, He is surprised at the notion that he is the one to wield the master sword. He is scared as to the responsibility that comes with it, but will still step forwards if it’s to protect those he loves and cares for.

Chapter 23: UA, the School of Dream-breakers

Summary:

UA is seen by the public as the dream school for heroes, every year producing top pro heroes, turning young men and women from cygnets to beautiful swans. It is a place for the best of the best, yet there are rumours. Very small rumours, that UA is Hell in the shape of Heaven. That people are broken down to dust and pieced back together again and again, in an effort to cure them of their “impurities”. To mould heroes into the same cracked template used for too many years and for too many people.

Izuku and his generation look towards UA with stars in their eyes, doing anything they can to get there, only to find the truth of heroics.

The ugly, dark truth.

(One of my bigger ideas... Hope you enjoy it!)

Chapter Text

It's about UA being a more rough and brutal version of canon UA to the extreme, pushing the "students" to the limit every day running them ragged yet expecting them to keep up.

It would be akin to Shouto's training with Endeavour in "hero class", with the dumpster fire himself as the teacher. Midoriya still has OFA but is older when he gets it, and All Might is not always with him. Aizawa is being forced to teach with the threat of losing his hero licence, and having to work both as a teacher and a hero 24/7 just to make enough money to get food and for taxes. Mic and Midnight are in the same situation but not as bad, but stay together with Aizawa to support and stay with each other. When he expels people, he does so to save them, them being too powerful that UA will break them for their “full potential” or the ones with “weaker” quirks that somehow got past the super bias exam (in this pic there isn’t even rescue point before their exam, theirs was the first exam that did that) or the one that simply not make in through UA, they would break under the pressure and training.
When 1-A comes he wants to expel every one of them, to save them, but he couldn’t, they wouldn’t let him expel any more this year because of his last class.

Don’t know about this - (When the door opened, some were expecting one of the heroes that they have learned from already, some were expecting a hero they had never heard of. Some were expecting Aizawa-sensei, one was even expecting All Might. But the person who came through the door was someone no one was expecting, but one red and white-haired, whose eyes widened in fear. Followed by the flicker of flames and fear of the masses, Endeavour.)

**
Just for the record Nezu absolutely hates this, but the board won’t listen to him nor let him do anything, they just expect him to run the school and be a figurehead and a puppet for publicity and the media

By the time they go to USJ with 1-B (a few weeks) they are all tired and sore and covered in bruises (recovery girl heals what she can but she can't help it all and they can't recover from the side effects well enough for the next time she's needed),
Shigaraki still attacks as he hears that All Might will visit as a guest but doesn't make it, but when he arrives he notices that something is wrong with the students, they shouldn't look like that, they should be full of hope and determination, standing around and perfect, yet they are all covered with at least three bruises, and some still have clean bangles on them, they look cracked and their will to fight them is burning as bright as an ember. He changes plans and tries to split them apart and tries to talk to them. To figure out what’s happening to them, but is foiled by both 1-A & 1-B as they still believe that they are becoming heroes (not fancy soldiers). This in effect brings the two classes together, rather than have a rivalry as some teachers want.

Aizawa has been put in charge of gathering information on the LOV, and spends all his hero time and patrol searching for them. They find each other in an alley with Shigaraki carrying shopping bags. They start to fight as Shigaraki talks to Aizawa, egging him on about the conditions of the students and what had he had done to them. Aizawa snaps and shouts that he didn’t do anything and that god he wants to do,something! before they both realise they want the same thing. To save the "students" at UA and get them out of the damned hero system. Shigaraki brings him to the bar and introduces him to the LOV (they have the whole crew Dabi, Toga, Twice etc, at this point as more time has passed in cannon allowing for these guys to get together. Aizawa tells the LOV about UA and then talks about plans to save them (they plan to save both 1-A and 1-B, (Mic teaches 1-B) and he is starting to see the classes slowly realise what UA actually is). The next time they meet he brings Mic and Midnight, and they both join in the effort to save the students.
They want to save the other year, but Midnight says that they have grown used to the treatments, and have been “convinced” (read brainwashed (sorry Shinso))that they are fine and that the way they are being treated is fine. They see it as normal in their society. The LOV and heroes agree them save them later, the sooner the better.
They theorise that the summer training camp is the best time to get them. They all hate that they have to wait so long until they can get them but they push on.

The sports festival goes on as always, with the threat of punishment, from Endeavour, if they don’t get over one hundred offers for internships, their Training will be increased because of the “lack of improvement”.
The first round goes the same, but with 1-B going with 1-A showing their quirks to win (I would think that the two classes would grow closer together because of the classes and training), with midoriya still winning the same way (he still hasn’t found a way to not break his bones)
The cavalry battle teams are more mixed in terms of people, but the game is much more of a battlefield (a bloody one) with every hero course not wanting to fail.
(Shinso is still trying to get into the hero course, poor Shinso) He does get swapped before the internships so he can get a taste of the heroes’ medicine, with Mineta who got kicked out by Endeavour because he got no internship offers.

Stain I think in this fic actually notices who is a bad hero and who is a true hero, and Ingenium is a true one, and instead goes of a different hero (these guys go though enough) Shouto is forced to intern with Endeavour, Ilda still interns in Hosu with his brother (who just wants to see him and to get him away from UA having gone through it himself) Mido still goes with Gran Torino after All Might contacted him and told Mido about him, it goes the same but it takes a bit longer, as Gran stops him prank as soon as he sees Mido and the state he is in and tells him to rest and they will talk tomorrow. Several people on the way to Gran Torino look at Izuku with concern, some even stopping and asking if he was ok. Gran while still straightforward, is more gentle with Mido. He figures out full cowl and they go by train to patrol and then Hosu happens. (In this fic it's not the LOV, just a different villain attack but with the same premise)

During the mess Mido finds Stain, so he immediately messages all the heroes and friends he can, when he sees he is killing a hero who he knows is a bastard even among heroes. So when Stain asks him if he's going to stop him, he hesitates, not from fear, but from stopping and thinking if Stain was right. That alone makes Stain freeze, he expected a shout of defiance that they we stop him, not consideration! "You’re different aren’t you?” He asks as they both stand still for who knows how long when Ilda and shouts arrive behind Mido. They both go to attack but Mido stops him. Stain only looks at him when he realises these are the people those LOV were want to help, they had asked him if he want to help the LOV, to help the people *standing right before him*. He takes a proper look and hates what he sees. Old injures not healed completely, new injures not even from this fight!, scars littering there small visible parts of their bodies, the way they hold themselves, ready for a hit at any moment, for someone to come and attack them at any moment. *Any moment*. When Stain was standing before them, the biggest threat to the heroes in the prefecture right now.

With Mido holding the others make he makes his escape, vowing to save these people from the fake heroes. A few days later stain walks into the LOV bar with them and the heroes in a meeting. They go quiet when they see him. All Stain says to them is “I saw some of the students, how can I help?”. They all stare at him, and then at Shigaraki and Aizawa. They turn to look at each other, after a moment Aizawa nods and Shigaraki turns back to Stain, “Welcome to the LOV, anything you can do can help."

Exam happens, but instead of normal they have to defeat their opponent, either capture with the quirk cuffs or hold them in place for 30-60 seconds. they go against teachers with the compressed weight braces, but endeavour goes against Mido and Bakugo (I would think the “training” and the other stuff have caused Bakugo to grow and mellow out slightly, even he can see how messed up this is, even having doubts on the class when is head was still in his ass. I would think that Bakugo, while not completely fixed it, has worked on his relationship with Mido and also makes an effort to make friends and enjoy herself with them in his own way.) They are like "shit we can’t get close to him", Bakugo because of his explosive sweat, and Mido because he’s a close-range fighter. They plan to either bury him in rubble so he can’t move or take all the oxygen in the air with an explosion, to give them a chance to get close to get him in the cuffs. Endeavour cheats though and doesn’t wear the braces the teachers had to wear to even things out (Mei gets annoyed at the thought of her baby not being used and not being able to get info on Endeavour's quirk, it had technology in it that would have done that) Claiming that heroes should not need their opponent to hold back. They pass but barely and not without injuries. They both get bad burns, but Recovery Girl (god bless her) manages to get the burns to not scar (maybe there is still discolouration to the skin). Endeavour gets “in trouble" for hurting them that much, but was really a smack on the wrist. When Endeavour said, “it's their fault they got hurt, they should have been able to dodge or defend the attack, perhaps they aren’t training hard enough?” The only reason Mic and Midnight didn’t punch endeavour right then and there was because they had to stop the murder of the “beloved” number hero (read as Aizawa was going to beat the shit out endeavour with no hesitation after the meeting, he has the skills to hide a body… Why not use them?)

Finally the camp is upon them, and their senseis were acting strange. Originally the camp was the push the quirks to the *extreme* to improve them, but the teachers with Nezu (how he got involved or found out or confronted them I’m not sure but this is Nezu, come on) would give false reports that Nezu would back up. The teachers that go with them are Aizawa, Mic and Midnight. The pussy cats are still at the camp but are worried about the classes because of Ragdoll's observations, they talked with the teachers and agree with the camp being a break. Instead of 1-A being forced to go through the forest, both classes are sent straight to the dorm rooms of the camp. Both classes get out of their buses and wait with rapid attention, waiting for their “training" to begin. Their senseis stand before them, Aizawa says “Since it's getting late, you guys can get yourself sorted in the rooms. Food will be in two hours”, and then they walk to the building. The classes just stare in almost disbelief, it was 4pm, they should be training already. Uneasy with this, yet having being order they went to get their bags and beds sorted.

After a paranoid two hours later, waiting for *something* to happen, either surprise attacks, a teacher bursting in to get them training, or getting punished for wasting time they could be using more meaningful. They finally get called out to the mess hall to see food ready to eat, they pause at the doorway, Mic sees them with a look of worry before a smile is found on his face. "What are you waiting for? Food ready!” They eat and start to relax, but they jump to alert the moment Aizawa stands up. They are ready for anything, except for what they hear next. Aizawa explains that camp is not a training camp, but one to relax and have fun and “be teenagers” again, not heroes-in-training, not students, teenagers.that they are going to help them.

At first they don’t know what to think, is he serious, we came here to train, we’re going to fall behind. Stressed and strained, as they are they all had one collective thought, “this is a logical ruse”. Midnight sees them think this and she wants to scream, Aizawa hates that he and the other teachers have pushed them to the point that they don’t trust them, Mic wants the shout that they want to help, and they are *going* to help. They all go to bed, both sides not sleeping well, one side filled with paranoia and worry, the other stressed and worried about their students.
The next day the classes wake up at the crack of dawn and start to get ready for the theorised training, but Aizawa hears them and stops them saying if you want to go for a walk or jog you are welcome to, but there is no need to get changed into that, go and get changed into casual clothes and *relax*, please. They again stare dumbfounded and confused. One, their sensei said to explicitly told them not to train and Two, he said please. *Please!* sensei never says please, not once in the months he has taught them has he ever said that. So the

(All i have so far :) )

**Aizawa backstory in this AU, didn’t know where to slot it in :)

When Shirakumo died, Aizawa was broken, and blamed himself for the incident both morally and “legally”, not wanting mic to get in trouble, he and mic are forced by UA to train hard to make up for it, and Aizawa trains himself even harder, so he never has to fail again, he becomes almost a human weapon, being merciless in his hero work. Taking down villains in seconds leaving some with life-changing injuries (Aizawa never realises this as UA gave him the techniques and said though they will break bones, they will never do permanent damage, and the HC look over his reports to doctor them to say the bad injuries were otherwise didn’t happen or ‘were Necessary’ ) He finds out what he has been doing is wrong when Mic was getting mugged ( in civilian wear) by a villain when Aizawa joins in and takes him down. Mic stands in shock, at seeing his old friend that he has only spoken to for a few weeks at a time, take down the guy so brutally. He almost doesn’t recognise him for how he stands, how he fights and speaks, most importantly how he looks, with darker bags under his eyes than even when they were at UA, a constant scowl on his face, always looking to lashing out, at a villain or himself, muttering that he could have done better, still pushing himself to be better, for Oboro's sake. When mic tries to speak to him, whispering “Shouta-“Aizawa's eyes snap to him, red glowing eyes glaring towards him, hand going for his capture weapon, growling “How to yo-“ before he sees the long yellow hair with the bright green eyes, heard his voice and the fear in it, wait Hizashi? What is he doing here? Why is he here? Why is he afraid?! Was it the villain?
Damn it he should have taken him down faster! But the villain was down and captured, why didn’t he still look scared, was there another villain he didn’t see, his eyes scour the alley, looking for any sign of another person, but nothing, there was no one else there. He looks back at hizashi his confusion hidden behind his blank state, why was he looking like that at him, why was he still scared, there’s no one else left here but him and m-. He stops, eyes widening minutely, his mask cracking ever so slightly. Seeing Aizawa freeze, Mic approaches him

All Might stuff :)
All Might is against quirkless people seeing the disadvantages he had and that he could do nothing until Nana helped him and gave him OFA believes they can’t do anything and don't belong in heroics he separates himself from quirkless people even though he was once quirkless

When AM finds Izuku he screams and faints when he shouts he was looking for him (AM assumed that he is a big fan and saw his notebook and thought it was fanboy stuff and decided to sign it for him, and when Izuku wakes up he asks for him to sign it he is told that it has already been signed, and Izuku is like wait. When Izuku asks if he could be a hero, He doesn't get to the quirkless part before he gets interrupted by All Might saying he could be a hero. So All Might doesn’t know he is quirkless. Izuku doesn’t bring it up as either he thinks All Might doesn’t care about his quirklessness or is scared to bring it up as he doesn’t know if All Might might give a different answer.
He doesn’t get attacked by the slime villain, he only gets Bakugo first and Izuku goes in to save him which gets All Might's full attention.

Propaganda, the world needed order so they enforced it, they became the next police force, the next army, the next militia. They are seen as the world's protectors, from villains and evil. Yet the world is not as glamorous as the “job” seems. It becomes normal, for young men and women to go to universities and train to become ‘heroes’

The main base or theme of dream breaker is is that heroics is nowhere as glamorous as it seems

It’s really good. I like how it’s not sugar-coated like the anime really is cos if I’m being honest UA is baso using class A as child soldiers. I’m not a fan of angst but it sounds good

Like would it be 3rd person or 1st person

Questions, Worldbuilding, things to think about.

How would All Might react to Mido joining the LOV, would all might be considered evil? Would All Might be controlled by the HC? Would be brainwashed to the ways of heroics? Would be convinced that what he is doing is good, literally killing himself to keep up appearances? What would Nana be like, and how would she think of tosh being manipulated/ would she be sad to see her student being led astray from the true course of heroism,

It's the question of either AFO still wants to get rid of the corrupt hero system (which in this it is), or if he would want to save those being hurt by the blatant corruption. it could also be that the LOV separate themselves from AFO after they start making efforts to save the classes tho, it can go many ways
AFO would be no different than canon, as there is no reason to change him, other than being more confident and less in contact with the LOV

How different would All Might be in private? Would he make the training for OFA tougher as he thinks that was a normal amount of training from his fucked up time at UA? Or would he be tough so izuku isn’t torn apart and left behind by UA?

What would Hawks be like in this world, he might
How would the world react to the whole of the first year of UA heroes becoming “villains”?

How different would the underground heroics be? More brutal or more detective, investigation, raids, almost like more advanced police
Or would some be used as such things as assassins, or undercover missions, acting and being villains to bring down those around them? Being forced to have the of the villain “for the greater good” says the HC, they sacrifice and overwork and mislead heroes left right and centre

Pre-U.A.

Izuku volunteering around the city, as he is older he has more time and was inspired to spend his time volunteering after (something to do with picking up trash) he slowly does bigger and bigger projects with cleaning up spaces in the city and gets the idea to clean the dumping beach.

When All Might asks him to clean the beach for his strength training, he says that the volunteer group he’s in is already helping to clean it. All Might is wanting izuku to do it himself and pushes Izuku to do so, but they compromise on having Izuku pick up/move a certain amount of trash from the beach per day. When izuku asks AM why he is cleaning the beach, he says it is so he can help train his body to become stronger, but izuku then says “and also doing so is a heroic thing to do (whatever All Might says in the anime for the reason for cleaning the beach) and All Might, not having thought of that, just agrees with what Izuku said.

This starts AM doubting himself and the hero system but only in a very small amount, like a split second afterthought

Use the news reports as a way to show the passage of time, as well introduce different story points, introduce the LOV, build up characters,
“The volunteer group Brighter Skyes has now reached its 3 months into the beach clean up project and is hoping to finish within the next 5-7 months. In other news…” “turn the damn news off!!” A misty hand goes and turns off the tv, “Now then, how are we looking at with the recruitment for the plan.

It also allows for a look into the heroes of this AU, one would be looking at the prep for a raid, which includes Aizawa, and Midnight with Mic just being nearby “the volunteer group Brighter Skyesis soon approaching the milestone of 6 months of the beach project. In just a few days it will be the 6 month anniversary of the beginning of the clean the beach project…” at some point one hero as why ‘a certain hero’ can’t join the raid, their quirk would be great for this, but is told that they wouldn’t join them because they keep to the daylight heroics, and “personal I don’t think they would have the guts or will to do something like this"

Another would be as if a primal running past a tv shop and hears "The volunteer group Brighter Skyes after some incredible work has now reached its 6 months into the beach clean up project, and are hoping to finish with the next 3- to months…” before it they can’t hear it, rushing past the shop and turning into an alley, trying to escape their pursuer. The hero that they talk about in the previous hero scene is the one that is being so brutal to a small criminal in this scene

The first years have a week before the uni starts to get used to the dorms and each other,

Both classes go to the school assembly to learn about what’s going to be happening, and after the assembly, Aizawa gets the students at the dorms to meet him at the sports group in their sports gear. Aizawa goes through the quirk assessment test but with both classes, and Vlad king is seemingly comparing one class during the entire test, to the annoyance of both classes.

USJ

Though they are able to combat against the villains, they would still get some injuries (as how the hell did they just punch thought the low tier villains/criminals, because even if they a low level they are still criminals with experience in combat and fighting), the classes still do well against them with the classes they have had from Endeavour in the week or two coming up to USJ.

Fear of teachers (who are heroes) tips off Shigaraki to something being wrong, Shigaraki gets Kurogiri to port him to the different zones to try and speak to them to try and find out what’s happening (Skyrim speech 100 and charisma check references)

They introduce them selfs as “We are villains of The League” but they get reported as the League of Villains, they do it on purpose to downplay the threat they could be, and so have people take them less seriously because of the weird name, as people would take ’The League” as a more serious threat than “The League of Villains"

How would Monoma interact with the Nomu, could he take some of its quirks?

Sports Festival

Mic only really introduces the hero classes (he’s reading a premed script that he can’t deviate from), saying they are the valiant heroes that survived the use attack while all but ignoring the other classes. Izuku got first place so he was made the first year speaker. When he goes up to make his pledge, he instead talkings about the other classes, “as our announcer so kindly introduced my classes, I will continue in his stead” he talked about the Gen-ed classes 1-C,1-D,1-E, the support classes 1-F,1-G,1-H, and the business classes, 1-I,1-J,1-K.

Chapter 24: You call it a coding error, I call it a friend

Summary:

includes spoilers for Horizon: Forbidden West.

Chapter Text

In an attempt to kill more humans, Hephaestus codes machines so when they come across a piece or sample of DNA, they will hunt and find the source of that DNA. However, the AI didn't put anything afterwards as it thought upon finding the source of DNA/their human, that they will then kill them. They don't.
the "Hunt" command overrides everything except their terraforming role/GAIA role, maybe even that, depending on the type of machine.
Once they complete their command, they just stop and do nothing.
People find they will respond to commands, mostly or sometimes only the "hunted" human, though it can also be close biological family.

No more than one machine can "Hunt" a DNA sample/human at a time. So when a machine is destroyed, the next machine that finds said human's DNA it now hunts it.
Any machine can "Hunt", no matter their GAIA role. Maybe depending on the sample locations, a machine of the same type (A charger to a charge, stalker to a stalker, and so on).

Though there are a lot of hunters and travellers out in the Wilds, it is hard to get an accurate reading of DNA, and find and locate the source of the sample. Some clear samples might be a drop of blood on a snowy peak. Sometimes a machine will hunt for years before they find its DNA sample source.

When a machine is Hunting, it will ignore everything around it, including other humans. So when humans see a Hunting machine (Which s shown by a different coloured light, Mostly likely green. one of the few free colours, as well as a last touch unseen by GAIA), despite what kind it may be, it passes. Though this mostly depends on the culture of those who find them as well as just the people that find them.
Some do not care, not believing that machines can be friendly, hunting and destroying any machine, no matter the lights.

When a machine finds a sample of DNA that another machine is hunting, it will ping them and send the location of said sample to help the hunting machine track down the human. A large Database is made to store all the information and tracking of different DNA, for designated machines to access and use to track and hunt. Especially for machines that find and rediscover a sample.
Some machines have logs after logs of different samples with locations and times, and some with a single log and sample.
One example is Charger hunting a Trader that constantly moves around the Sundom. After a few months of following the different DNA samples, it gathers enough Info in the database to realise that the DNA will walk around in a certain route, and so will wait or walk in the reverse, hoping to find its DNA sample.
Another example can be a hunter working out of a hunting lodge in an area before moving on to another Lodge, leading to logs in the database of a series of different locations with a large concentration of repeating samples. Before long the machine learns that it can just wait near a hunting lodge until the source comes along.

What machines would different characters get/could get?

Some things need to be defined, sure as to where and when the characters are.
Because it would be strange and hard to explain smoothly, why someone from the HZD setting and time would have a machine from HFW.

Aloy is more unique and flexible with what she could have. She could have something from both regions at almost any point, given that her DNA/Elisabet's DNA could be found in both the Sundom and the Forbidden West.

Though it's not truly random which character could get which machine, I would feel best if the machine reflected the humans. Machines that match the vibe and feel of the character, and maybe their job or profession.

Aloy
She could have machines such as a Charger, Stormbird or Stalker.
(Could write different AUs/one-shots with Aloy having different machines. The variety of machines leaves a lot of ideas to work with. One machine that sounds interesting to think about is a Hunting Tallneck? This isn't even considering Aloy with different origins/growing up with Carja or Oseram or Utaru and the other such cultures).
Charger, for a constant travel companion, as well as a mode of transportation. A more common yet solid partner. A kind of jack of all trades.
Stormbird, Looms overhead watching Aloy and swoops down to help when it needs to or as an act of intimidation. Aloy walks into a town and just has a Stormbird flying around the edges or perched nearby.
Stalker, Could hunt with her, act as backup staying nearby but out of sight, or as a partner acting in uncanny synch with each other. The Stalker has snuck into several Twon with Aloy, to be supported and not be separated from her.

Erend
Erend is difficult to decide for, needs to be something stubborn to match him. Some ideas for him are Brisleback, Raverger, Behemoth.
Bristleback, can lead a charge with Erend and can take a hit and fight back. It can also be mounted and used as a mode of transportation, leading to Erend being able to jump on and charge into a fight, stopping it by intimidation or by metal and fists.
Ravager, Matches the presence that Erend can have. It can act as ranged support and can hold its own in a fight of claws. Should a situation require it, it can be mounted for short-range travel for a short period, be it in battle or simple travel over tough terrain.
Behemoth, Can carry a small group of people, as well as cargo, can run straight and knock almost anything out of its path. Despite everyone saying not to or that it's not needed, Erend gets Oseram armour for the machine, saying there is nothing better than Oseram armour to go for protection. Though really he does so in an effort to protect and not lose another companion.

Petra Forgewoman
Only one machine comes to mind for Petra, the one being a Shell-Walker, Maybe a Glinthawk?
Shell-Walker, can carry large amounts of scrap and cargo including Petra's inventions and prototypes. it has the capability to protect itself and can act as protection from other machines, both while travelling and while they are delving.
Glinthawk, Can search and find scrap that petra would otherwise miss. It could guild her to find special parts, and reach places she couldn't do otherwise. It is always nearby, be it on top of her home or on a perch.

Varl
The machines that come to mind are ones that are fast and can hit hard, something that can help. Something like a Lancehorn or sawtooth.
Lancehorn, Can move fast and hit hard when needed, and for short moments can act as a mount for quick escape or chases. It can work with Varl as a scout, dashing about and reporting back.
Sawtooth, can hunt alongside and can hold its own in a fight. it can travel with Varl, exploring and fighting machines and people. I can act as a mount for Varl, letting them explore and scout areas.

Talanah
Any machine that can keep up with her hunting or help improve and expand her hunting ability. Needs to be something she can run along with, not slowing each other down. Stalker, Sunwing, Skydrifter? Thunderjaw or Slaughterspine? Too big to be effective with her. What if she was so successful in hunting that no machine was able to take a DNA sample until she reached the Forbidden West.
Sunwing, can carry messages and packages between lodges and camps. It can help when hunting a machine, being able to track the machine from the air, allowing it to be tracked better. When needed it can act as a distraction and fight we it needs to. Later on, after Aloys discovers that Sunwings can fly as a mount, the Sun hawk takes to the skies

Still to go. Alva, Kotallo, Zo, Beta and Slylens (Slylens might constantly get Hunted, given his wanderings and cares not for the machines. Though he might keep them if the machine in question is a powerful machine, like a Stormbird or Thunderjaw, however the chances of one hunting him are quite small)

Assassin’s Creed X Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West

Chapter Text

Aloy discovers a bunker after following a trail of logs found across the land, from the top of mountains to the depths of the Old World.

She follows the trail, curious as to what these two groups are, this “Assassin’s Creed” and the “Templar Order”, as well as the objects called the “Pieces of Eden”.

When she enters, past the series of locks and strange passages. She climbs walls covered in small handholds, and jumps across great heights and dangers, to reach a final doorway.

In her way was a three-word password. Unsure of what to do, she scours the messages she had found in hope of an answer. She tries all kinds of comminations, any kind of positive phrase, but nothing works. Despite hours of searching and trying passwords, nothing works.
On the verge of giving up, she sits by the door, listening to some of the audio logs again, when she finds it.

She’s too busy thinking, that a certain audio log plays. One that she dismissed and had skipped on repeat listens, not giving it much thought.
The log in question is just some strange langue followed by a bunch of noise, mostly knocks or thumps. Upon listening again, Aloy hears three strange words whispered. With help from the subtitling system, she tries one last password.
"Requiescat in pace
Aloy stares at the door. Nothing was happening.
Did she just mess something up, or use too many attempts?
What else could she look at to find a possible answer, maybe there are some more logs or information on there?
Where would she start to look-
CLUNK!
Interrupting her thoughts, the door slowly opens.
Aloy takes slow, cautious steps into the hallway bearing a mind that despite a password locked doorway and other such interventions, Aloy has read notes and journals of untrusting and paranoid people, though they trusted their own. Well… one group is more so one than the other.
Before long the hallway opens up into a massive domed hall, with strange protrusions rising from the floor.
Looking across the open space, she counts up to 4 dozen pillars? She steps forwards to take a closer using her focus, but all she sees is “Access restricted, please refer to the command console”.
Getting more and more confused, Aloy goes to the centre of the room, spying on something that looks like the command console. A big raised circle in the centre of the room.
Getting closers she notices something else. Inlayed into the floor is a strange yet similar symbol.
Seeing a button on the console, despite everything she has learned about these people, Aloy presses it.
In the centre of the room, a hologram appears.
They talk about how in the end, when the machines came, the war between the Assassins and the Templars came to a halt.
“While there were those on both sides who disagreed with this, and left to continue their causes, the rest came together to help defeat the Faro plague. Many ideas and plans were had, with many torn down and tossed aside. Some had some merit though.”
“One such idea was to collect and safely protect the pieces of Eden. In the end, while we could never get them all, we managed to save many. Though it seemed to be a hollow victor, we discovered that the power of the pieces would eventually fade in a few hundred years, anywhere from 300 to 500 years. All thanks to having so many pieces being in such close proximity”
“Through a series of debates and arguments, we came to another agreement.”
“The world was ending. None of us knew if we would survive, most of us knew we couldn’t. We didn’t know if our orders would continue, that they would die with us.”
“We decided to preserve what we could. Protect these pieces of history, and leave something for humanity should anyone survive. To remember the past, hence the name “Project *Time Capsule*”.
“This place was made before the Faro plague. The Templars stuck to their towers and skyscrapers, but jokes on them I guess.”
“While normal procedures would call for the destruction of all data and information if this place were to be discovered, it would ultimately be the opposite of what we were trying to do.”
“If this place is still in one piece, information on our time and human history, while not complete it is still quite the archive, along with the history of the Assassin’s Creed and the Templar Order.”

“Farewell, I hope that our efforts, in the end, meant something. If only a single person were to find this place, then I say this project was a success.”
“Some words of wisdom before we part, from which our creed was defined by, though I hope you never need to use them.”
“Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.”

Chapter 27: Scout Trooper Izuku

Summary:

In which Izuku is part of a Scout trooper squad.

And things go wrong...

Chapter Text

Izuku is a scout trooper for the empire on a forest planet, working with his squad pattering the woods around the base of operation ns on the planet.

They are speeding along when they receive a message from base, they stop and find that it's their commander, giving them new orders to go further out and explore and record the local area.

Finally given the freedom to just *go*, Izuku and the squad speed off, zipping over roots and passing by tree.

They eventually stop on a hill looking over the area, and from which they can see the base.

They stop for the night, setting up a camp and Izuku taking watch.

During the night he sees some ship approaching the base. He looks with curiosity as more and more ships arrive in the air space.

Until the first shot is fired.

He watches as the base gets bombarded by the ships, laser blasts raining down from the sky, explosions covering the base.

Izuku rushes to the tents and wakes everyone, the base was under attack.

Not waiting until everyone was ready, Izuku *rides*, shooting off into the dark, only the light from his helmet showing the way.

For a while, all he sees are the next few trees. Surrounded by the tunnel of darkness.

If he flew for minutes, hours or days, he doesn’t know.

But to the celebrating rebels in the ships high above the smouldering ruins and burned forest and scorched earth below them. It took 7 hours before there was any activity on the site after the operation.

As the local starlight came over the horizon, he bursts through the trees. A spec among the crashed and burning ships scattered around the grounds, surrounding the approach to the would-have-been base.

His speeder finally comes to a stop, roasting hot and smoking from the relentless rush.

He gets off his speeder. His boots sink into the mud.

He takes his helmet off, blinking harshly to be begone and wake from the horrid nightmare.

But it was no nightmare, no dream.

It was real.

Rebels ship nearby checking over the area, more checking over for resources than anything else, hear a Loud noise.

They look to see what caused it, an injured animal, a crashed ship exploding, or a group of imperial soldiers calling for help.

What they find instead, is a single groove, made by a speeder.

They follow the trail until they reach the end.

They find a single trooper.

Kneeling in the mud.

Helm dropped by their side.

Screaming their heart out.
