Work Text:

It had been a long day of shopping. Ink had gotten lost in Lowe's, then trapped in the cashier line at Target because of a Karen harassing the manager. That was the main reason why shopping with Ink was... 'fun'. And poor Error was worn weary from all the events in the day.

After a stop at the food court of the Oak Valley Mall to finally replenish their sustenance levels, Error led Ink to one of his favourite stores. Flaymour and Rannigan. "Error, why are we coming here? We don't need anything!" Ink questioned. "Well, I need something: rest." Error said with a smirk, laying on one of the soft mattresses.

He closed his eyes and let out a contented sigh as he sunk gently into the bed. After a moment of deliberation, Ink decided to hop onto the bed next to Error. "Hello, may I help you?" someone screamed excitedly, making Error flop off of the mattress and onto the hard, extra-glossy wooden floor. Ink leapt off of the bed, grabbing on to Error's multicoloured hands and pulling him up. As soon as the excited saleswoman came into his view, he narrowed his eyesockets at her and said, "No thank you." In quite a sour mood, with an expression to match, he clasped Ink's hands and pulled himself up.

Ink promptly strolled over to a very furry ottoman and plopped onto it. "ERROR ERROR ERROR- LOOK AT HOW SOFT IT IS!!!!" he said with excitement laced generously in his voice. Two teenagers walked into the store, only to be greeted by Ink curled up on the ottoman, crying softly about just how fluffy it was. The two young women backed quietly out of the store, hoping the potentially dangerous short goblin-man didn't notice them. Oh boy, another repeat of the Wal-Mart Incident.
Ink had a tendency to creep people out, which once landed him in some hot water with the cops. It may have involved bail and a court case...

Error sighed. Rubbing his temples, he walked over to a velvety looking couch and laid down. It had been a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong day.
