"Here you are Song-san."
The purplenette blinks at the sound of her name being spoken, looking up at Jade Leech and stares at the glass of water with a purple straw within. In Song's table there was two books with a pencil case with her single pencil in hand as she was studying something important.
"But I didn't order this."
"Floyd wanted you to have this it seems." Jade says with a chuckle, looking over at the door that lead to the kitchen where his brother was keeping an eye on their co-workers. "He told me you ordered it himself, but it looks like he thought you were thirsty."
Song at this glanced over at the door as well and sighs softly. "You can take the drink back. I'll be fine without it..."
"Ah, but I think you should take it Song. Remember the last time my brother was taking orders and you refused to take this offer?" He asks her, making Song freeze before letting out a long sigh and takes a sip of water through the straw, and was surprised to realize how nice it tasted, she didn't realized how parched she was since she was so focused on her homework.
"... I'll make sure to pay for it." Song says, making her hear Jade chuckle and was surprised to feel the Leech twin pat the very short girl on the head.
"No need to worry about that. You can pay for it by spending some time with us later this afternoon after classes are done." Song's mouth drop to a gap, and all Jade did was smile in amusement. "Be sure that your schedule is cleared later, Song-San."
"Did she say she'll come with us?!" Floyd asks excited with a huge grin on his face once he and Jade had closed up shop.
"Well, you told me that she didn't have a choice in the matter, brother dearest." Jade says to his twin, watching as his brother quickly throw away the dirty rag in the trash bin. "I told her to make sure her schedule was cleared up. She didn't seem too excited about it, but she accepted the offer nonetheless." Jade says chuckling softly, remembering how the purplenette looked like she was about to make a fuss.
"Yay! For a second I thought I was gonna hafta drag her to the mirror room to make sure she came with us to the coral sea today!" Floyd says, olive and gold eyes lighting up in pure joy like his brother who chuckles in amusement.
"You know Floyd, you seem to care a lot for Song-san lately ever since she came here." Jade says to his twin brother, who blinks and grins wider than before and giggles.
"Well, that's because Koebi-chan is a cute little koebi." He says, and suddenly looks serious. "Lately though she's been doing too much work, and to me she looks like at one point her body is gonna fall and hit the ground at any moment. She even has bags starting to grow under that eye of hers."
Jade blinked at this information.
"Is that so...? Hmm... Now that I remember, I did see her looking very tired... She seems a little thin as well and barely touched much of the food she ordered as well... She looked like she completely forgotten about it." He says, before his smile widens. "Were you thinking this little trip might cheer her up?"
"Obviously! Plus she needs them!" The twin stated as he and his brother made their way to their shared room to grab their magical pens, Floyd looking through his stuff till he found a water breathing potion for Song abd placed it into his pocket. "Last time she went to the museum with us and the times we seen her in the coral sea she had a hard time trying to swim, hell she even had to grab onto Uni-chan the entire time they were underwater." He stated, clearly speaking that they plan to go to the coral sea with her again.
"It's been stuck on my mind since we seen her there, and to be honest it annoyed the hell out of me since I had to make sure my attacks didn't accidentally hit her when those guys tried to use their magic." He stated with an annoyed face, mood swinging down as he spoke.
"Hmm... So you want to teach Song-san how to swim to help keep her mind off her work. But won't that only exhaust her more?" Jade asks his twin.
"Who cares? Koebi-chan needs to learn how to swim when we bring her back home." Floyd tells his twin with a frown as he heads to the door. "After all, I wanna make sure she has fun when visiting the place while bee play tag."
Jade at this sighs with a smile on his face. "My, my... It seems like you really like to spoil and bully our precious Ramshackle perfect, don't you Floyd?"
"You like her too Jade. Don't act like I don't see it." Floyd says to his brother with a grin. "You wanna take her home with us as much as I do~"
"Fufufu, I can't hide anything from you can I?" Jade says with a soft smile as they soon exit the Octavinelle dorm and head to the dark mirror.
"So... Why are we in the coral sea?"
The purplenette asks as she let's Floyd, who is in mermaid form along with his look alike, hold her close as they swim to a safe distance in the water, away from public merfolk eyes. Floyd and Jade knew of the perfect spot where they can both teach the little human girl how to swim.
"Nee, Nee Koebi-Chan~ Do you know how to swim~?" The right leech twin asks Song with his famous, mischievous smile as he swims around Song. Making sure his tail was wrapped snug and tight as he helped her swim while he peers at her face from above, watching as her dark purple hair float in the water as she swims as best she could, her white eye that shined and reflecting the light from the moon light above reminding him and his brother that of a pearl shining slightly from dim lights.
The question though causes this said single eye to go wide as she moves her white streaked bangs slightly, preventing them though to move away from the left eye that's hidden from under her hair. "Uh... What brought this question up all of a sudden?" She asks him curiously, tilting her head to the side.
"Well... Last time ya came I barely saw ya move away from Uni-chan's side once. Ya always keep a tight grip on him like the ocean is gonna pull ya down or something." Floyd tells her, making Song blink and nervously looks to the side.
"I mean... Well, to be honest. I don't know if I have. Did you forget? I have amnesia." Song tells the two eels, pointing out that she has no memory of who she completely was before she came to Twisted wonderland. All she remembers is her first and last name and the Homeland she came from, nothing else at all.
"Ah, right... We did forget your actually an alien from another world." Jade says with a light chuckle, making Song frown slightly before sighing.
"Aside from that, you never answered my question. Why are we here?" Song asked again, making Floyd frown more.
"I thought my question made it obvious to ya. But it looks like it didn't completely." He says before smiling wildly. "Well, we're gonna teach ya how to swim Koebi-chan!"
"Wait, what?!" Sing asks, looking at Floyd shocked before looking at his brother with a glare, but he only let's out an amused chuckle and ignored it.
"Indeed we are. Did you know? Next year you'll end up taking swimming classes. It's important to learn how to swim if you want to get by through that class with a good grade." Jade says to her, making Song sigh softly and pout, knowing well she couldn't argue with them since Jade's statement is correct, and not only that she knew objecting would be a poor choice to do so when she, like they said, don't know how to swim correctly in the water.
"Okay, okay! Your right! I... May need a few pointers in swimming. But only a few!" Song says to the twin eels. Frowning as she hears them let out small snickers as Floyd nuzzles his nose into her floating hair.
"Glad we're on the same page~! Now come on! Let's do the doggy paddle~!" Floyd says letting Song go without warning, making her yelp in shock as Floyd swims far away from her and Jade to a "perfect" spot where he'll think Song won't have any struggling with getting to.
"Fufu, Floyd has been really excited since you agreed to come with us today Song-San... I'm glad you have decided to come as well." Jade says, bringing Song close to his side as well when he instantly took notice that she was struggling.
"Well it's not like I had a choice in the matter, knowing you and your brother." Song says before smiling slightly at the eel twin who looked at her wide eyed when she tells him, "But it's not really that bad since I wanted to go with you both anyways. Spending time with you two for the day seemed like fun, so I honestly didn't really mind being forced coming here."
For a moment Jade was quiet before he lets out another laugh abd gently he pats her on the head with his webbed hand, being careful not to scratch her head with his sharp clawed fingernails. "You never cease to amaze me, Ramshackle Perfect. To be honest I thought you were opposed to the idea in coming with us at first."
Song blinked at him. "Why would I be? Bring with you two is fun." She tells him honestly as they make it to where Floyd was. Before Jade could get the chance to respond to her words, Floyd swims up towards them and grabbed Song by the wrist and pulls her close to them, letting out a loud groan.
"Ugh! Your both being too slow! Come on, lemme teach ya the breast stroke already!" Floyd tells her with a grin, keeping Song close as he taught the girl how to swim under the sea.
The three hadn't stopped by the time Song noticed the sun was starting to set.
"That was fun!"
"I know right~? I knew you'd love swimming with us Koebi-chan~!"
Floyd kept himself wrapped around the human girl, his cheeks pink as he nuzzles his face against Song's short hair, smiling more as he hears her let out small little laughs, which was something that anyone rarely heard at all, even more surprising she had a huge smile on her face as well. But the sound of how tired she was didn't escape the twins ears.
She must be really exhausted if she's truly showing this much emotion like this since she would usually want to hide it from most people, not only that but she mostly keeps her guard up, for one thing since she's a girl which is understandable, though second reasoning is also because she lost her memories. Anyone would be willing to take advantage of that sort of stuff were anyone else to find out about it, though for the most part most of her friends that she meet so far in the seven dorms she meet knew of this already and didn't take advantage of her once at all.
Still, that didn't mean other boys at night Raven collage would pass up the opportunity. That's why Song would do her best to hide this secret from most students around the school, she would do her best to do things on her own and not accept any help once from anyone. She would sometimes, but she wouldn't let them do it all the time! Sometimes though she's still amazed that this world had a care about gender, that women of all people would be respected in a world like this one.
'If it was like this back in my world... Would things be diff...erent? Why would they be different? That doesn't-'
"Nee, Koebi-chan? Hellooo? You sea to Koebi-chan!" Floyd's voice brought her back to reality before she could finish the thought, and in seconds she forgot what she was thinking about in the first place.
"S-Sorry Floyd, what were you saying?" Song asks, looking back at Floyd with a nervous smile. But then sees him frowning at her, making the girl flinch a little at the sight.
She knew well enough that Floyd leech in a bad mood was a terrible thing to come by.
"You've been spacing out a whole lot Koebi-chan... You tired already?" He asks, making Song sigh as she lets him squeeze her tightly, but doesn't resist it and instead, surprisingly to Jade and Floyd, moves closer to the left black tipped leech and rests her head slightly against his.
"Sort of... Today's just been a long day of doing a ton of homework... A lot of things have been on my mind too." She mumbles softly as a sad look suddenly appears on her face, the tone in her voice sounding monotone almost but... It had a hint of sadness to it, which was seriously unusual. Not anything the leech twins or anyone at NRC ever from the Ramshackle perfect. "I just... Feel like I'm missing something important... It sounds crazy but... It feels like something that you and Jade senpai have while at the moment I don't."
At this point the twins both stopped moving, Floyd suddenly feeling the urge to hold the small shrimp in his arms closer to him while Jade kept his eyes trained on her along with his brother, both twins curious at her choice of words.
"I want to know what it is I'm missing but... I can't remember... I-I know I'm not missing an object or something like that of the dirt but... It feels like one part of me is empty... Like... Like one side of me feels... In incomplete, you know?" The purplenette made her head comfortable in Floyd's neck as she feels herself close her eye, the smooth touch of his scaled made her feel comfortable along with the feeling of his webbed hand (or was it Jade's? His hand feels a little more bigger than Floyd's. Or was she imagining it?) carefully running through her purple shirt locks. "Like... I feel like someone's... Missing from me."
Jade and Floyd both look at one another, the purplenette not noticing their silent exchange in words before Jade decide to speak. "Song-San... Are you... Certain you don't remember your family?"
"Hm?" Song mumbles tiredly, looking at Jade with a confused look, even though her vision is slightly blurry at the moment from how tired she is, the sunset light making her see his face gently glow a bit.
She kinda liked how it made him look so enchanting... Twisted wonderland really is a world full of wonder.
"Like, do you know if you remember anyone else important aside from your own ma and pa." Floyd says, also sounding unusually seriously as he looks down at her, she feels the twin holding her gently tuck away a purple strained of hair behind her ear as he spoke. "Like... Do you have a sibling or something?"
"Sib... Sibling...?" Song mumbles quietly, then she suddenly looks down, but at the same time the twins feel like she wasn't, almost like she was spacing out into another world entirely. "Didn't I... Have a sis... Ugh!" Song whines abd holds her head as she suddenly felt a terrible headache hit her.
"Oi, Koebi-chan!" Floyd shouts, Hade quickly swimming over to hold her arms carefully when he sees how tightly she was holding her head and gripping onto her own hair, both twins were scared for a moment that she would end up trying to pull it out.
"Deep breaths, Song-San... Breath in through your nose... Out through your mouth, just like that..." Jade whispered soothingly into her ear, watching as Song obeyed his instructions and sees her slowly let go of her hair and quickly latch onto Floyd, her firm trembling and shaking. When she calmed down, Jade then let's out a sigh and spoke seriously. "I think it's best we bring Song back to the school... Maybe bring her over to the infirmary-"
"I'm fine." Song cuts Jade off quickly, shaking her head, unknowingly hugging Floyd even tighter who squeezes back in return. "I just... I just need to sleep it off. I'm sorry... I really don't know what got over me."
Both twins shared a look and nod their heads at one another before looking at Song.
"Hey Koebi-chan, I think you should stay at Octavinelle for the night!" Floyd says with a huge grin on his face, making Song tense up and look at him wide eyed as the sleepiness she had now completely vanished.
"W-What?! But Azul will-" Song gets cut off as she felt the two brothers quickly start swimming again towards the area where they come from the dark mirror.
"Don't think much about it Song-san. You just need a little rest correct? The Octavinelle dorm isn't that far from here, so it will be a much easier walk back." Jade says with his usual calm smile, watching Song looked ready to object again, but then hears her sigh and say as they go through the shining light in front of them.
"You twins can be impossible sometimes."
"Hey Jade... Do you think Koebi-chan is a twinless twin?"
Floyd had asked that after he and his brother had placed Song to sleep in a extra empty Octavinelle dorm room bed. The girl completely under the covers and breathing softly as she nuzzles closer to Floyd's hand as she slept.
"It seems possible... But it looks like whenever she tries to remember she'll end up getting terrible headaches." Jade says, making sure Song's hair wasn't in her face too much and stays careful of not moving her bangs, remembering how Ace trappola mentioned to them how she hated her bangs being moved away. When he it Deuce tried she instantly snapped back and slapped their hands away from her with this terrified look on her face. Since then they both made sure to tell others about it.
"I remember Kobanzame-chan saying when he saw Leona try to move her bangs she completely freaked out about it... He even mentioned how she almost hurt herself on accident in the process when they were trying to talk to her in the cafeteria kitchen." Floyd says frowning as he decided to go lay next to Song and bring her close to him, nuzzling her head as she hides her face into his neck willingly while she let's out little incoherent muffles.
"Hmm... From the sound of this it seems like our poor Perfect has been through some... Extreme experiences in the past." Jade remarked as he watches Song like a hawk, eyes not blinking once as he stares at her.
"... I need to keep an eye on her more then. Koebi-chan needs to be protected after all... She doesn't need to be in pain if she's gone through a whole lot of shit." Floyd says, nuzzling Song's hair and sighs softly as he takes in her scent. Being in the water made her smell like the sea but she also still had that flowery scent on her. "Plus, if she's got no twin and has been struggling without them this whole time, then she needs even more help. No twin can feel complete without the other after all. Right, Jade?" Floyd looked at his brother with his usual smile as he tangled his fingers into the purplenette's short purple hair.
Jade at this smiles at this and sits at the edge of the bed, deciding it would be more comfortable to hold Song's hand gently. "Yes... Your indeed right Floyd. Our little perfect has a bad habit of getting caught into trouble with that curiosity of hers, not to mention her need of doing better can get in the way of how she must take care of herself too. As far as I am concerned, it's perfect enough that we should make sure she stays under our protection." He states, making Floyd giggle quietly before he closed his eyes and placed a soft kiss on her forehead.
"Yeah... I wanna make sure Koebi-chan gets all the love and attention she gets while she's here... She deserves it." Floyd says, closing his eyes as he curls himself up around the purplenette.
Jade at this chuckled, shaking his head and sighs as he stares at Song, watching as the sleeping girl rests her head against his brothers chest to hear his heart beat.
"Our dear little perfect... You may try as hard as you like to hide your real feelings with your words, but your actions and emotions always say otherwise."
