I don't own any of the properties in this story. Steven Universe is owned by Rebecca Sugar and Cartoon Network and Star vs the Forces of Evil is owned by Daron Nefcy and Disney and Death Battle is owned by Ben Singer.
On a beach that was on fire, stood a teenage girl with blonde hair as there were butterfly wings sprouting from her back. All was around her were the remains of people shaped like watermelons, unicorns, and a broken Pink Diamond.
The person responsible for this was Star Butterfly, the lone survivor of this massacre. She couldn't remember exactly why this happened as it was just a blur to her. One minute, she was participating in a sandcastle building contest, the next minute, she was alone on a destroyed beach.
Suddenly, a ribbon saying "1st Place" on it had flown on her head.
"Oh my gosh." Star said with a smile before waving her arm over her head, a rainbow manifesting over herself. "I woon!"
"Um, excuse me, miss." a new voice said.
Star looked over and saw a man running up to her.
"Sorry, to be the one to tell you this, but you didn't win." The man said. "That ribbon goes to Steven Universe."
"Steven?" Star asked confused as she took the ribbon out of her hair.
"Your opponent." The man said as he began to look around. "Where is he?"
Suddenly, the princess of Mewni's pupils shrunk as she realized what happened. It all came back to her. She remembered it all.
Her attempting to use magic to win the competition...
Destroying this "Steven's" castle by accident...
Going butterfly form while the boy went pink.
Attempting to use her wand to break out of the dome that the pink boy trapped her in before he encased it in a bubble as it disappeared.
Using Mega Explosive Crystal Laser to destroy the dome and him along with it...
"Oh no." She said to herself.
Slapping herself in the face, she became determined.
"I got to make this right." She said to herself before she took the ribbon and placed it on the broken gem at her feet.
Without another word, she flew off much to the concern of the announcer.
