The King's Treasure

Summary:

"How far would you go to take back something precious to you? What would you do to take back a stolen treasure, my son?"

He glared at the woman who sat on the throne before him, "I would have given up everything for her... and I still would."

Notes:

So I just jumped into this fandom because a certain blonde drew me in, so this is my first fate fanfic.

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

She was so dead! Hakuno was trying hard not to scream at the servant who appeared before her. The brown-haired girl did not know how to react to them, especially since their aura screamed danger. Especially when the female servant turned her red gaze to Hakuno. Something about her seemed off from the other free servants Hakuno came across in this place.

She wasn't a part of one of the seven classes she was taught about… this woman before her was something else entirely. Another class and this woman seemed more animalistic than anything. Though that might have been due to the armor she wore- the whole outfit from the helm that covered most of her face, and the dress looked like it was made out of hawk feathers.

It almost reminded Hakuno of the skinwalker witches she learned about- she looked like she could easily transform into a bird, too, now that Hakuno thought about it.

"Who…" Hakuno started to ask, hoping to get an idea of how this servant was and possibly get some sort of upper hand in case this whole situation turned nasty. However, she trailed off when the woman came closer.

"Oh, I see, he caused you to be ray shifted," she said, though Hakuno didn't know what she was talking about, "steal another king's treasure for himself… I pity you. You must have done something to gain Nebuchadnezzar's attention-"

"I'm sorry, but what are you talking about?" Hakuno asked, cutting the female servant off, "I don't understand. Where am I? Who are you? And what is this king's treasure you're referring to."

"My name is Tine," the woman said, "and lucky for you, little mage, I'm here to make sure you survive and get back to your own time. As for where… it's more of a when- this is a rebuilt hanging garden of Babylon. And the king's treasure that of course is you."

Hakuno looked at the woman like she was insane, still not understanding what going on. All Hakuno knew was that one moment she talked to her twin brother. The next thing she knew was that these people came in and forcibly bathed and changed her into this white and gold dress that left little to the imagination.

Then she heard fighting outside the room she was locked in before this servant had broken down the door and came in.

"Look, I don't have much time to explain before the king knows I'm here and sends in reinforcements," Tine said, looking around, "come with me, and I'll Enkidu explain… he's much better at that than I am. We can help you, trust me, and no harm will come to you while I'm here."

Tine held out her hand to Hakuno to take, "but we got to act quickly."

Hakuno would have hesitated, but she could hear people yelling and the sound of running footsteps. So she could have quickly grabbed Tine's outstretched hand and allowed the female servant to pull her along as she rushed out of the room.

"Wait not too fast," Hakuno begged, "this damn dress doesn't leave a lot of room to run."

"Can't do that if we move slow…" Tine trailed off and looked over her shoulder, "duck!"

Hakuno didn't have time to react before the woman pushed her away, causing Hakuno to fall to the ground.

"Well, well," Hakuno heard a male voice say from behind her, "so this is the little rat who caused so much ruckus."

Hakuno turned, and her eyes widened at the man there. He looked familiar, but something about him was wrong. Sure he had the same face and hair color… but his eyes… were wrong. He wasn't her G-.

Hakuno's head ached as she saw his man. He made her almost remember something that she shouldn't. Another life…

"Ah Nebuchadnezzar, it's so nice to see that lovely stolen face of yours again," Tine said, rolling her eyes. At the same time, she struggled to hold the ax that would have taken both her and Hakuno down if she didn't react and stop the strike, "Hakuno run!"

But she couldn't move as her mind raced, and it caused Hakuno to freeze up and stare at the two.

"Please, Hakuno, run away!" Tine tried again, but Hakuno still remained frozen in place.

"I really wish you would stop going off on your own, Tine," Hakuno jumped at the chains the fly passed her to wrap around the blonde man and forced him away from Tine. right as a gentle hand fell onto Hakuno's shoulder, "are you alright, Hakuno?"

No, she didn't think she was.

"It's going to be alright," the voice said again as someone picked her up, "I got you."

Hakuno looked up at the strange green-haired person in confusion as they quickly turned and ran, "hurry Tine, those chains won't hold him forever."

"Yeah, Yeah, I'm coming!"

"Wait, how did you two know my name?" Hakuno asked as they escaped into the streets.

Da Vinci turned away from her screen and looked at Sherlock.

"How did another mage get rayshifted into a singularity? It should be impossible for outsiders to be able to do that," she said, "much less a servant."

"I'm more curious as to why he wants that girl so badly," Sherlock said, "he may have built a body to resemble Gilgamesh. He shouldn't have any knowledge of his past… or previous masters."

"Still, it makes you wonder why her out of all of them?"

"This Hakuno is an interesting woman indeed."

Unbeknownst to the two, someone was listening in. someone whose rage started to rise. For one, they didn't tell him that Tine was summoned  (nor that she became a servant) or that she went ahead with their master to help out against a man who stole Gilgamesh's face.

Then he's come to find out that the bastard stole something precious to him. He stole her…

Oh, the thought made Gilgamesh absolutely livid. Hakuno does exist in this lifetime, and Gilgamesh wanted her back.

He was going to find his way to that singularity and destroy the kingdom that faker of a king built and bring home his Queen.
