Summary:

The last night of their weekend in Santa Barbara and they both have something on their minds.

Chapter 1: Jack

It was late at night as they walked along the beach. Above them, the moon and a city of stars. Jack gazed up and willed the morning to never come because tomorrow was the day he would tell her. Let her know that it was over and he was going back to Teri. It would break their hearts, but they had always known it was never going to last. Wrapping his arm around her, he looked into her eyes and wondered. Was she also hoping to never see the sun rise over the sea? He kissed her on the cheek.

Chapter 2: Nina

Nina had always loved gazing at the night sky and tonight it was particularly beautiful. Despite her outward calm, there was a storm raging inside of her as her mind drowned in the plot that was soon to come. At first it had been nothing personal but things had gone further than expected with Jack. Now her two worlds were colliding with the man she loved in the middle and she could do nothing but watch in horror. He kissed her on the cheek and she smiled at him. On the inside, she wanted nothing more than to warn him.
