Lucy had decided to skip out on the Harvest Festival, well mainly. They were planning to watch out the window and re-join for the parade later.
"Of course Asteria, What are we playing?" Lucy said going to sit on the mat with a smile.
"Blocks." Asteria said simply starting to separate them into colours.
"Hmm, So now they are separated what shall we do?" Lucy asked her, liking to interact with her daughter.
"Towers!" Asteria said excitedly and they began to make towers of each colour before they knocked them down. Making Asteria laugh delightedly.
They continued that for a while. "Asteria lets do some reading now." Lucy said plucking her young daughter into her arms and hugging her close to her.
"More of big story!" Asteria said excitedly with a smile as she wrapped her little arms around Lucy's neck. Her slightly curly blonde hair lose to her neck.
Lucy settles her daughter on her lap and positions the book so she can see it, before she began reading. They managed a few Chapters before Asteria fell asleep on Lucy's lap.
"Just like your Daddy. You enjoy books but if it's read out loud it sends you straight to sleep." Lucy said as she settled her down on the bed with her little bear with a small stuffed sword.
Lucy strokes her daughters hair and pressed a kiss to her head, before she turned around and began sorting out their flat.
That was until they both heard loud bangs and obvious mage infighting all over the city. It thankfully didn't Wake Asteria.
But soon there was a massive influx of power that did wake her.
Lucy turned as she heard her young daughter fully crying from the power that had just sent the city dark.
"Shh, Asteria Mama's here. Nothing is going to hurt you my little star." Lucy said comforting her rocking her in her arms. "Come now Asteria, we are okay."
Asteria looked up at Lucy still crying a little. "Fine? Scared."
"Oh Baby I know." Lucy said still hugging her close. "But like I said. Mama is always here to protect you, you never have to worry about that."
Asteria was quiet still teary and sniffling. "Okay Mama."
They both stayed in the house as they heard the battles go on, some of it scaring Asteria greatly. Till they felt nothing more.
Lucy looked out the window and saw people unconscious all over town. She gasped recognising people.
"Asteria we are going to the guild." Lucy said fetching her jacket to go over her nice Burgundy dress that she was obsessed with.
"Okay Mama." Asteria Said with a bright smile.
They both walked out flat slowly as Asteria's legs were only small. Lucy helped all those who were waking to sit up more, while keeping an eye on her little daughter who was looking around curiously.
"Grey!" Asteria then called running slightly down the road. "Grey, wake up!"
Grey groaned as he woke up before opening his eyes slightly. He looked around till he noticed the young blonde stood in front of him. "Hey Ria."
"You okay?" The little girl said looking at him worried.
"I'll be fine little Ria." Grey said sitting up. "Where are you going?"
"Mama helping." Asteria said pointing a little down the road to where her Mama was helping someone stand up. "Go to guild.”
"Ah that's like your Mama." Grey said pulling himself up till he was standing.
"Up" Asteria asked.
"Okay Ria." Grey said with a small smile, before picking up the young girl and putting her on his shoulders.
"Hey Luce!" He then called to the other blonde who looked up and smiled before walking over.
"Hey Grey, lets head to the guild shall we?" Lucy asked with a smile.
"Mama look high." Asteria said as Grey nodded and they began the walk to the guild once again.
"I know Asteria, Grey's got you up high hasn't he sweetheart." Lucy smiled to her daughter.
They soon walked up into the guild. Inside they saw Master, Mira and a few others who had managed to make their way back.
"Who is that sat at the bar?" Lucy asked curiously, but apparently she was loud enough for one of them to hear her. They both froze completely when they caught each others eyes across the room. The other three she did not recognise turned to look at her at just his reaction to her words.
"Lucy do you know Freed?" Grey asked kind of shocked.
Lucy didn't answer just continued to stare at him, before looking up at the sound of Asteria giggling.
"Grey, will you..?" She asked not needing to finish the question.
"Of course." Grey nodded. "Come Ria, lets see what mischief we can get into." He muttered as he swung the young girl off his shoulders into his arms as she giggled happily.
"Where Annoying one?" They all heard the young girl call.
The all heard Grey's answering laughter. "Gods, I love you, Ria. Let's see if we can find him." The his shout. "Flame for brains?"
Lucy chuckled looking after them for a moment while the rest look shocked at her not knowing who that child was. But Freed had begun walking towards her, Lucy turned her attention back to him and rushed forwards. They met in the middle Freed's hand coming, to rest on her cheek then other on her waist. There eyes met for about a second before they were kissing in the middle of the guild hall.
"Okay they definitely know each other." Evergreen said with a smirk.
"You can say that again." Laxus sighed turning back to drink.
"Oh goodness." Levy muttered under her breath as she entered the guild just to be greeted by this sight of them sticking their tongues down each others throat.
"Gihi, this is new Bunny girl." Gajeel chuckled.
Freed and Lucy paid little attention to any of them. As they kissed, not breaking apart till they had too. "Lucy, why did you leave?"
"My father wanted me to marry the Duke Avalon. I refused and left." Lucy told him easily.
"Why didn't you come find me." Freed said pressing a kiss to her neck.
"Hmm. I looked, I couldn't find you and of course your parents have no clue where you are." She looked down slightly then. "The I got rather distracted if I am honest."
"Distracted by what." Freed said curiously pulling away to look at her in the eye.
Lucy looked at him seemly nervous, before pulling him down. so only he and probably Laxus, Gajeel and Wendy could hear. "I was pregnant, you are a Daddy to a almost 2 year old girl now." before she pulled away and giggled at his frozen look.
Freed soon pulled out of it and pressed another kiss to her lips. "I love you." He muttered to her. "Where is she?" He asked pulling away from her then completely.
"With Grey. Grey, Asteria!" Lucy shouted making them round the corner from the kitchen quickly.
"What, I promise I wasn't feeding her cake." Grey said looking kind of scared of Lucy, a little body clearly hiding behind Grey.
Lucy just chuckled. "Grey I never said you couldn't feed her cake. I guess you two didn't find Natsu to annoy."
"Not here." A young voice called as she stuck her head out from behind Grey. "Cake instead."
That made Lucy laugh again. "Asteria come here."
The guild watched as the blonde with slight curls and familiar Green ish Blue eyes, a beauty spot beneath one, rushed towards Lucy.
"Mama?" Asteria asked as Lucy picked her up and turned her to look at the man stood opposite her.
"Asteria, this is your Daddy." That alone made several people spit out their drinks, in there complete shock. "Freed, this is Asteria Layla Justine, our daughter."
Asteria looked at the man curiously. Before lifting her arms to him. "Daddy! Up please."
Grey walked over to the bar and sat near Laxus. As they all watched Freed take his young daughter and the small family together.
"So Freed is Ria's Father." He said quietly.
"You know the child?" Mira Asked curiously.
"Oh yes." Grey Said with a slight smile. "Ria is very smart for her age, she's been around since Lucy joined the guild." Grey told her easily.
"But we've never..." Mira began kind of shocked.
"Well this can be a rather dangerous place for a child." Grey chuckled. "Lucy is actually a lot more powerful then everyone gives her credit for." He smirked.
"What does that mean?" Evergreen Asked shocked.
"She always has one spirit stay with Ria. So if she is opening one or even two in battle, she already has a gate open. Her magical core is very impressive." Grey told them all. "She has this thing called star dresses that gives her the power of the spirit she calls forth, but she isn't strong enough to do that and keep three gates open at once. She's getting there though."
"Is she why you disappeared for part of the Phantom Lord battle?" Mira asked.
Grey looked up at her then. "Yes actually. I defeated Juvia and released she would be one her own as Lucy's gates would have all closed when she was knocked unconscious. So I ended up rushing back and taking care of her. As Natsu was fighting, Erza was unconscious and Levy was taking part as well."
