Work Text:

Peter Parker liked to believe he was perfectly ordinary, thank you very much. If you ignored the fact that he was a secret superhero and the heir to the biggest company of world-leading technology and development. But to him, that was nothing too special. He was only doing his part for the world, being adopted by Tony Stark was an added bonus. Even if it did come at the cost of his dear aunt's life.

Still, despite all that, despite being far smarter than the average teen, despite the fact he could have easily graduated both highschool and MIT at a young age, Peter liked to live his life normally. He woke up every weekday at six, attended school for eight, hung out with his friends, even attended his Decathlon club when his side gig as Spider-Man didn't interfere.  Life was good. It was normal. It was exactly as he wanted it, and he would like to keep it that way.

Too bad his Peter luck had different ideas…

"Now, Now, kids. I know you're all excited to go home and do whatever it is teenagers do, but if you could all just stay seated for just a moment longer- i have an announcement to make" Mr. Harrington called out to the team from his spot at the front of the room.

It was the end of the day, nearing on 5:00pm, marking the end of the weekly ACD DEC  meeting. Peter was at his desk with Ned by his side- MJ was at the front of the room, arms full of yellow papers with her usual look of disinterest. The team had quieted at Mr. Harrington's words, all perking up and stopping their bag packing. All apart from Peter, who had yet to even start.

"As a reward for all your continued hard work with the Decathlon, the school has arranged a little field trip.. nowhere out of state, or country," the 'not after last time' went unsaid, "but it'll be exciting all the same. I must admit, it's been hard keeping this one a secret.." the teacher trailed off with a light chuckle, he was practically vibrating with excitement. Peter could feel himself tensing already, the hair on the back of his neck standing on end. Field trips only ever ended in disaster, especially the ones in recent years. This was not going to be good.

"Where are we going?" Cindy asked, arm half raised. Their teacher only grinned and gestured for MJ to start handing out the papers.

"Well, I'm glad you asked, Cindy. We are going….." He paused for dramatic effect, which had the entire team leaning on to the end of their seats ".... to tour Stark Industries!"

Those four little words was all it took for the team to erupt into chaos, shouting about how cool this was going to be and what if we meet the avengers?? and Now Penis Parker's lies will all be exposed! No need to guess who said that particular phrase.

Peter sunk into his seat, his face in his hands. Ned was frantically shaking his shoulder, in total fangirl mode at the opportunity to meet an Avenger- Peter would have to remind him later that he's already met all of them. But right now, all the teen wanted was for the floor to swallow him up and eat him.

He was right, Field trips never ended well for him. And this one was going to be the absolute worst.

"I know you're all excited, but just listen for a little bit longer." Mr. Harrington started, clapping his hands together to get everyone's attention. Once the babble of teens had considerably quietened down, he continued.

"Since this is a surprise trip, all of you need to bring your forms back to school tomorrow signed and completed to be allowed entry to Stark Industries tomorrow. You'll notice that along with the permission slips, are NDA's. Those MUST be read and signed, or you'll get no further than the lobby. We leave tomorrow at 8am, do not be late. We will leave without you"

The small stack of papers in his bag  felt like the heaviest thing in the world to carry- the knowledge that he'd have to present them to his dad and tell him he was taking a tour of his own damn home was crushing. Peter knew, of course he knew, that it was probably pepper that approved the trip. Tony likely knew nothing about it, approving highschool tours was below his pay grade, too tedious and pointless for him. God, this'll be embarrassing , he thought.

As the elevator dinged and the doors opened to his floor, Peter kicked off his shoes into the mountain of footwear already by the doors, and headed into the kitchen. Tony was there, hunched over what was probably his 30th coffee of the day, a stark tablet in his hand while he read over god-knows-what. Peter tossed his bag onto the table and got out the forms, alerting his dad to his presence. Said man only grunted a garbled version of 'welcome home, pete' before being absorbed back into whatever he was reading about.

"So," Peter started, reaching over and pulling the tablet out his dad's hands to read it. A proposal about a new invention a few interns wanted to work on, a bacteria that would cleanse dirty water and make it safe to drink in an instant. Perfect for third world countries, if it was made readily available and easy to afford. It wasn't a bad idea.. a few things would need tweaking and it would need heavy testng.. but that was the same for everything they did here at the tower. Peter approved it on his dad's behalf, the man was clearly too tired to read it anyway. Plus, it seemed like something that could really help a lot of people.

"I have a field trip to SI tomorrow" Peter stated, waiting for the inevitable laughter that'll come from his father. Only, the man simply blinked. Then blinked again. And again. Looking from Peter, to the forms, then back to his son. Likely processing just what he'd said. And then, the sleep deprived man had the audacity to grin.

" Oh my god " howling cackling came from the vents above, and Peter groaned. Clint fell out from the ceiling in typical clint fashion, landing right on the table and snatching up the forms before Tony could even think to grab for them.

"NO! Clint, don't even think about it!" Peter threatened, apparently not looking threatening enough because Clint continued to laugh.

"This is great. Ooohhhh wait until I tell the rest of the team, we're going to have so much fun, Pete." Clint laughed as Peter jumped up from his seat, reaching up to grab the papers from his traitorous uncle's hands. He didn't get them, because the man dived away, landing across the room and running to the lift. Peter was too slow to follow him, because the doors were closing and clint was cackling evilling at him and fuck, peter just wanted to die now.

Peter groaned again, face planting the table. This was it, this was how he died. Not fighting villains, or of natural causes, but of embarrassment.

"It can't be that bad, Bambino," Tony chose this moment to chime in, having finally caught up in his sleep deprived brain.

"No, it really is. No one knows I live here, or I'm your son. They don't even believe I have an internship. Which, technically I don't, but that's not the point! What are they going to think when the Avengers show up on our trip? What if my identity is revealed? Not just as a Stark, but as Spider-Man?" Peter rambled on, running a nervous hand through his hair. There were so many things that could go wrong, he didn't even want to think about it. It wasn't that he was embarrassed about being a Stark, but it was still new, Peter was still getting used to the idea, he didn't want people interfering with it, or asking questions he didn't yet have the answer to. That, and it would draw unnecessary attention to himself if it was public knowledge. With another secret identity to hide, he couldn't risk it not yet, anyway.

"Slow down, kid. All valid points, but they'll all be signing NDA's right? So what if they find out? It's only a matter of time anyway, We're going public at the end of the school year anyway. Once you graduate." Tony reminded, coming over to rest a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Think of it like a trial run. If they find out you're my son, it'll be easier to explain why you know the avengers. If not, you'll just be my personal intern. Nothing too suspicious about that"

Peter signed, Tony had a point, in just a few short months he'd be graduating and the world would know who he was. Both as a Stark and a hero, everything was coming out, "True. But they'll still be embarrassing. It's going to be stressful enough trying to hide, let alone having to worry about my superhero aunts and uncles."

"Well, we wouldn't be family if we didn't embarrass each other" Tony grinned.

"But Daaaaaad , i don't want them to" Peter huffed, he felt as if he was fighting a losing battle here. Tony ruffled his hair with a sympathetic laugh, picking up the tablet Peter had stolen and sitting back down at the table.

"I'll talk to them, if you don't want them to crash the trip. Maybe make up some wild goose chase of a mission to send them on,"

"Thanks, Dad." Peter relaxed a little at that. If they didn't show up, then maybe the trip wouldn't be that bad. He could handle the rest. Probably.

"No problem, Bambino. No patrolling tonight, don't want to risk missing your trip tomorrow," Tony smirked, going back to his report reading. Peter rolled his eyes, he'd have to go get the forms from clint at some point to get them signed- unless the birdbrain had signed them himself.

---

Tomorrow had arrived all too quickly for Peter's taste. He'd gone to bed a lot earlier than usual, courtesy of Tony having Friday shut everything off in his bedroom at 9pm. With no light or wifi, he had no choice but to crash early. That also meant he'd woken up earlier than usual, a good hour before his morning alarm. Peter used the extra time for a shower, and to mentally prepare himself for what he knew was going to be a mentally taxing day.

He arrived at school 15 minutes earlier than usual, which was bang on time for everyone else, despite him having woken up early. Peter had to jog to the bus, just in time to see the last person- Ned- boarding. Mr. Harrington was stood outside, holding a stack of papers in his arms, looking disapprovingly his way.

"Mr. Parker. Good of you to join us, we thought we'd have to leave without you," The teacher said, holding out his hand for his form.

"Sorry, Sir. Overslept." Peter lied, handing the form over- it had been signed by Natasha, in the end, using the fake name they'd supplied as his new guardian. Matilda Jenkins.

"As long as you're here, I don't  care. On the bus, Peter." Mr. Harrington gestured for him to get on, Peter nodded and climbed the steps, the teacher following behind him.

He went straight to the back where Ned was Animatedly chatting MJ's ear off about his expectations for the trip. It was a one-sided conversation, however. MJ had her head in a book, and looked as if she was only grunting in response to every other sentence to make it look like she was listening.

Ned turned his attention to Peter the moment he sat down, asking all sorts of questions about the tour and what they'd be seeing. Peter tried to explain that he didn't know- it wasn't like Peter ever went on the tours while at the tower. And no, he didn't know if any of the avengers were going to show up. [He had a bad feeling they would, though, no matter what his dad told them]

About 40 minutes of riding on the bus, Conversation had shifted to other topics- Starwars, the latest celebrity gossip, Flash having no brain cells-until the bus pulled up to the tower. Excited chatter broke out once again, this time from the students marvelling at the sight. Many of them probably hadn't even seen it up close until now, but for Peter this was an everyday sight. And he most definitely wasn't excited for this at all.

"Alright, class, listen up. There's a few- Betty, pay attention! - There's a few rules to go over before we go inside. I'm sure they'll go over all this inside, but I feel I need to remind you of a few things. Remember that we are representing the school today, I want you all on your best behaviour. SI has a strict no bullying policy, and even stricter security. All phones should be turned off, unless you're told otherwise. No running off, stick with the group! And please, for the love of god, don't go getting into trouble. No fighting, no stealing, no bad language. Understood?" After he'd gotten a nod from every student, Mr. Harrington signaled for everyone to get off the bus and stand in a single file line.

It took a good few minutes for the teacher to hurd the highly excited teens into a straight line, but once he did, he led them all inside. Peter, Ned, and MJ, placed themselves as far away from Flash and his goons as they could, hanging back a good few paces behind everyone else.

Inside was quite the sight, a Marvel of sleek modern designs and interior looking like its straight from the catalogues. Pepper had designed it, called it her baby. The look changed slightly every few years to keep up with the trends, and Peter was sure every item in here cost more than the highschool tuition.

The group of teens stood huddled together, taking the sights all in while their teacher went to the front desk to hand over the paperwork and sign them in.

"Ready for all your lies to be exposed, Puny Parker? I can't wait for them to throw you out. Bet you won't even make it past security" Flash had hung back, and was now shoving his shoulder into Peter's as they walked, a vicious sneer on his face.

Peter rolled his eyes, he'd been like this all morning. Taunting him and laughing at him. It was beginning to get on his nerves.

"Shut up, Flash. You're lowering the IQ of everyone in the tower," MJ responded, not even looking up from her book. Flash's face burned red at the insult, Peter could hear a few of his goons laughing in front of them- he had to fight to keep the smirk off his face. MJ's insults were always the best.

Flash glared at MJ before backing off, sulking on ahead to join the rest of the group.

"Thanks, MJ." Peter smiled, grateful at least someone stood up for him. Ned was great and all, but he wasn't very threatening, though. Not like MJ was. He was glad she as his friend, even if she was terrifying when she wanted to be.

"No problem, Loser" MJ smirked back, closing her book as a young blonde Woman approached their group with a large white box in her hands. Peter recognised her to be Alice, an intern in the R&D labs. She was nice, a total cinnamon roll. She wouldn't do anything to embarrass him, surely.

"Midtown high, right? I'm Alice Coxen, and I'll be your tour guide today." Alice smiled, "I've got a few things to go over, as well as hand out your badges for the day before we get started. So if you could all listen up, that would be wonderful"

Once she was certain she had everyone's attention, Alice began explaining the rules.

"Now, I'm sure you're all already aware, but this is a work place before anything. While we're touring, a lot of people will be hard at work. Let's try not to disturb them, alright? We'll be going through a lot of labs, and if you see someone working or taking a nap, don't interfere with their work unless they give you permission to ask questions.

Do not touch anything in any of the labs. Just assume everything's dangerous, because unless you know what it is, it probably will be.

There are to be no phones allowed in any of the labs. All mobile, recording, or photography equipment is to remain off at all times, unless given specific instructions to use them.

And lastly, You are to wear your badges clearly visible at ALL TIMES. Do not lose it, or you will be thrown out. You have been warned.

Now then! When i call your names, please come and collect your badge. These are one time only passes, and will be deactivated once the tour is over. So, you are free to keep them. Just don't lose them, if you ever need to come back- here at SI we have a strict no re-printing policy. Moon, Cindy?"

As each name was called, Peter waited with bated breath to see if his name would be called. He didn't have a pass, he'd never gotten one before because of his clearance level, and now there was definitely no need for him to have one considering he was a stark. Neither Tony nor Pepper needed one, and now he didn't either.

As his bad luck would have it, his name wasn't called, and though he prayed no one would notice- everyone did.

"Excuse me, Miss Alice, but one of my students didn't get a pass? His name is Peter Parker, he should be on the list…" Mr. Harrington went and said what was on everyone's minds. Peter could hear the snickering from Flash and his pals, and the few hushed whispers of Flash was right that was being thrown about like confetti.

Alice, bless her heart, looked confused for all of two seconds before her eyes landed on Peter, and her face broke out into the sweetest innocent smile he'd ever seen.

"OH! Mini-boss! I didn't know you'd be on this tour," god fucking damnit, Alice "Don't worry, peter doesn't need a badge." She explained, and if the nickname wasn't enough to make everyone look at him like he'd grown a second head, they certainly were now.

"R-right.." Mr. Harrington had the audacity to look confused, sending an odd glance his way. Peter doubted he believed he worked here, either.

"If you'd all like to line up. We're going to go through security. Friday will scan your badges, and then you'll all have your bags checked to ensure there's nothing bad in there, okay? Okay! I'll go first to show you how it's done, then if you'll all just follow me through.. Yes?" Alice trailed off, looking at Abe who had his hand raised.

"Sorry, but who is Friday? And why doesn't Peter need a badge?" He asked, but before Alice could answer him, a vaguely sounding human voice sounded from the ceiling, causing everyone but Peter and Alice to jump.

" You do not have clearance to ask that question"

"Ah, that would be Friday. She's Dr. Starks AI, and she runs everything in the tower. Though, she only talks to people with high enough clearance, or if she deems it necessary. Like just now." Alice explained, before scanning her badge and heading over to the security benches to guide the students through the process.

Students followed after her, one by one. Peter, MJ, Ned, and Flash bringing up the rear. Flash was behind Peter, leaning in close to whisper insults in his ear.

"So, how much did you pay her to pretend to know you, huh? Bet it cost a pretty penny. You don't even have a badge, and everyone needs a badge or you'll get thrown out. You just wait, security will throw you out the second you can't show your badge." Flash sneered, pushing his way past Peter to go first so he'd have a better view of things going down.

After Flash scanned his badge, he smugly walked over to security like he owned the place and dropped his bag on the counter, throwing eagar glances Peter's way.

And then finally, it was Peter's turn. He could feel everyone's eyes on him, watching, waiting, for alarms to go off. Or for security to drag him out the building, or something. Peter took a deep breath, and walked past the scanner. Almost immediately, Friday's voice could be heard- much more human sounding then it had before, with more emotion to it.

"Welcome home, Mini-boss. You're back early, shall I alert Irondad of your return?" She asked, Peter looked up to the nearest camera and shook his head.

"No, thanks, Fri. He already knows, I'm on a field trip" Peter explained, hoping she'd drop the issue and his dad hasn't activated any of the annoying protocols.

"I've been told he already knows. The Baby Monitor protocol was activated a few seconds ago, Irondad will now be aware of your location and vitals until the protocol has been terminated. Enjoy your field trip, Mini-boss" At least Friday had the sense to sound guilty, Peter thought, as he hung his head in embarrassment. So much for keeping a low profile, huh, dad?

Peter looked up to see the stunned faces of his classmates, and an overly excited Ned, staring at him. He felt as if they were going to be doing a lot of that today.  With a flushed face, Peter bypassed the security benches- no one tried to stop him, thank god- and joined his friends on the other side. Flash hadn't taken his eyes off Peter, burning his glare into the back of his skull. Honestly, he looked furious he hadn't been thrown out.

"Dude, that was so cool! Friday spoke to you! Like, I know you work with Dr. Stark and all, but that was way cool! What even is your life, man" Ned grinned. Peter hadn't told him about his recent adoption status, yet, he hadn't really told anyone about it. So the boy didn't even know half of it.

"Yeah, I guess," Peter replied, less than enthusiastic about it all. He just wanted everyone to forget about it, but he supposed at least they wouldn't doubt his internship here anymore.

"And that nickname! Did Dr. Stark pick it? Why is it Mini-boss? I have so many questions" Ned continued, but before Peter could even start to answer, the last person had gone through check in and Alice was leading them all towards the nearest lift.

She was telling them all about the schedule, where they'd be going and what they'd be doing. First was the museum, though they'd only be passing through since this was a science trip and not a tourist trip. Then, they'd be going up to some of the intern labs where they'd have the chance to talk to some interns and see what it's like working here. After Lunch, they'd be seeing the R&D labs and the Bio-labs. She explained that the chemistry section of the labs was currently off limits to tours due to some rather volatile experiments going on today, and instead they'd be having a Q&A with a few of the top scientists in the building.

By the time she had finished explaining the day's plans, the lift had arrived at floor 3- the Museum, which spanned two whole floors. The first [floor 2] dedicated to the Avengers, and second [floor 3] dedicated to the most successful and revolutionary inventions Stark Industries had produced. The room was filled with display cases of replica inventions, along with a brief description of what it was and who made it. More than half was credited to Tony Stark, a good chunk of those had the Initials P.B.P-S under them, too. It always blew Peter's mind to see his own initials under something he'd either invented or helped create. Most of the things in this room that only had his name under were avengers tech- not that anyone knew it was him. It still thrilled him, all the same.

The group had passed through this room relatively quickly, Alice answering any questions she could from the curious students. Before long they were back into the spacious lift, being taken up to Floor 15- the lowest level of the inten labs, which meant it was the least dangerous. It's where all the newer interns worked, until they got accepted into a lab of the field they were pursuing. It was basically the training wheel lab that ran diagnostics on tech like the Stark Phones and watches. Peter could honestly say that he hadn't spent any time working in this lab, unless it was to check in on the new recruits or drop a project off for them to work on.

The doors opened to reveal a basic lab, with young-looking interns hard at work. Papers were strewn across every desk, whiteboards filled with notes and holographic images all over the place. Interns were tinkering with bits of tech or writing reports on their findings, and at the back was the head of the lab- Jason- keeping a watchful eye on everyone.

"Welcome to lab Zero, the first of the intern labs. This is where new starters begin, unless they were personally headhunted by the heads of one of the speciality labs upstairs. In this lab, most of the Stark tech that's available to the public is tested here. You're free to roam about and ask questions, everyone in this lab would be happy to talk to you. Don't be offended if they say no, though" Alice smiled and opened the door to the lab, allowing the gaggle of teens in to explore.

Flash shoved past Peter on his way in, making sure he was the first one in the lab- as if that was going to prove anything to anyone.

Peter split up with his friends, Ned had gone over to the nearest person to see what they were working on. MJ was not-so-subtly following flash about with her Crisis book open, glancing up at him occasionally before continuing to draw. Obviously she'd found some inspiration somewhere.

Peter decided to head to the back where Jason was currently lurking, looking over a few reports at his desk. He figured he might as well get a little work done while he was done here, he didn't often have the time to come all the way down here.

"Hey, J, what've you got for me?" Peter asked, pulling up a stool to sit next to the lab head, eyes skimming over the report in Jason's hands. The man always read over everything that was to be submitted, and although there was no need to, Peter appreciated it anyway. It meant he had to read less spelling mistakes from caffeine fuelled interns still learning how to write reports.

"Just some unfinished reports- Nevermind that, though, what are you doing down here, Mini-boss? It's rare to see you on a weekday, especially this early" Jason asked, a single eyebrow raised as he closed the file and handed it to peter.

"School sanctioned field trip" Peter sighed, opening the file and reading over it "Just my luck, that it's to work. Figured i might as well work since i'm here anyway," Peter added with a mirthless chuckle. He grabbed a red pen off the desk and started circling a few things that needed changing, adding a few notes on what might make it easier or how to improve. It was like grading papers, Peter mildly felt sorry for teachers of any kind. Of course, his peter luck wouldn't allow this to go unnoticed, though.

"MR. HARRINGTON! Pe- Parker is tampering with the interns work, he's writing all over that guys file!" Flash and his stupidly loud mouth yelled across the lab, breaking the quiet chatter of the lab and disturbing anyone that wasn't participating in talking to the kids on the tour.

Peter could feel it before he could see it, Mr. Harrington's furious face as he stomped across the lab, Alice and flash hot on his heels while everyone else just looked on from their work benches.

"Peter! What in god's name are you doing?! You were given strict instructions not to touch anything, and yet here you are scribbling all over some very important documents! You could get thrown off the trip for this, and you know I'll have to talk to Mr. Morticia about this-" Mr. Harrington ranted on, leaving no room for the stunned- and furious Jason- to get a word in edgeways. Peter, however, was contemplating death. Not his death, but his teachers. It was one thing to yell at him at school, where no one knew who he was, but to do it in front of his employees? In his place of work? All intern labs were his, Tony gave him that responsibility years ago- admittedly it was on a whim, but Peter had done nothing but improve them and make Tony proud.

"- I am so sorry for Mr. Parker's behaviour. He's normally so good at following instructions, i can't believe he thought he had the right to doodle all over your files" Mr. Harrington was now apologising to Jason, who Peter noted looked about ready to blow.

" Actually ," Jason stood up from his desk, arms folded across his chest. The man could be very intimidating when he wanted to be. Peter could hear the venom in his voice. "Peter has done nothing wrong. Those scribbles , as you so rudely put it, are notes on how to improve and editing details to make it more readable. Since, you know, all the interns in this lab are still learning. Which he has the right to do, because he's our boss . If anything, it's you who should be apologising."

Mr. Harrinngton had the decency to look mildly ashamed of his outburst, but Flash obviously hadn't gotten the memo. The Blond boy looked fuming, Peter was sure that if he looked hard enough he'd see a blood vessel about to burst. Clearly, he had absolutely no brain cells, because the next thing Peter could hear was him shouting lies and profanities in his face.

"There's no fucking way that puny penis parker is your boss! I don't accept it- how can a poor, stupid, whore of an orphan possibly be that high up at one of the best companies in the world?! It doesn't make sense! How did he get you to lie for him? He obviously doesn't have the money for it, did he pay for it on his back like the-"

"You dare finish that sentence, and I'll make sure it's your last."

Now standing behind Flash, Mr. Harrington, and Alice was Tony Stark [when had he gotten there?]  in all his glory, looking mad as hell.

Now, all eyes were on him and Flash rather than Peter.

"M-Mr. Stark! Sir! I was just- What I meant was-" Flash stumbled over his words, now facing tony. He looked decently terrified, and like he couldn't decide if he should be bowing or not. It looked a lot like he was constipated. Peter could see MJ with her crisis book open again, pencil flying across the paper, no doubt drawing flash in his current state of terror.

"Shut. the fuck.  up. Kid." Tony growled, pointing a finger at Flash, who tried to back away but the desk was in the way. "You dare come into MY tower and insult my son? I've been watching you since the moment you entered this tower, Eugene. I know all about you. You've applied for an internship 7 fucking times this last year alone, and since you clearly didn't get the memo- let me spell it out for you. You will NEVER have an internship here. You will NEVER be accepted into any business or college I have my hands in. You won't even be able to step foot into any stark owned building. Why? Because you've repeatedly bullied my Son, for fucking years. Don't think I haven't heard about you. I want you out of my tower, Immediately."

Flash looked horrified, like he might piss himself at any given moment, frozen to the spot. Even Mr. Harrington looked scared, though he was looking at Peter- as if waiting for him to step in and do something. He wouldn't. He didn't like it, but Flash had it coming to him. And Peter knew better than to come between a furious Tony and the object of his fury. He wasn't stupid.

"Well? What are you waiting for? GO" Tony demanded/yelled, as Happy entered the lab. The man took one look at flash, smirked, and then dragged him out of the lab by his arm. Once Flash had gone, Tony visibly a little calmer, though still pissed. The man simply held his arms out, without saying a word.

Though it confused the whole room, Peter knew what he wanted, and he was more than happy to oblige. Standing up he walked around the desk and right into his dad's arms. Both Father and Son immediately relaxed, it felt good, just what the both of them needed after that fiasco.

Nervous glances were cast around the entire room while they watched the aftermath of the scene that had just unfolded, nobody dared to say anything for a good while.

Abe was the first to speak up, timidly raising his hand in the air. "Excuse me, but what the fuck just happened?"

Betty slapped his arm, whispering a quick "Abe! read the room, dumbass!" "what? I'm just saying what everyone's thinking!"

Both Tony and Peter looked over to the pair, now having considerably calmed down and noticing the atmosphere that had been created. Peter coughed awkwardly and pulled away from the hug, cheeks tinted red. Tony looked around the lab and at the faces of the rest of the students, before clapping his hands together with his award winning paparazzi smile.

"Well! I'm sorry you had to see that, but as the loving dad that I am, I can't just sit by and watch my son get verbally abused. You understand how it is, right?" Tony asked, steamrolling on after he got a few understanding- if not shocked- nods "Right! So I'm sorry to have interrupted your tour. You can all continue with that, by the way, but I'm taking Peter with me. Any and all questions you have will have to wait until later- and remember those NDA's!" Tony didn't wait for permission to take Peter from the tour, and Mr. Harrington certainly didn't look like he was in any state to stop them as they walked to the lift and got in.

When they got to the penthouse, Tony informed pepper of what had happened- though she likely already knew- so she could start the appropriate paperwork to get flash expelled and banned from every college tony had ties too. The father and son Duo spent the rest of the day in Tony's Private lab, working on their own projects, happy to be in each others company.

Peter had to admit, maybe field trip weren't that bad after all, especially not when he had a dad like Tony that had his back.

He was just glad that the Avengers hadn't had chance to appear.

The END

Notes:

LMAOOO Flash got what he deserves

I really don’t know what happened to the avengers showing up, I got carried away with flash being a prick lmao

Maybe I’ll write another one, just so the avengers fam can make an appearance
