Peter was tired, to say the least. With long exhausting patrols, exams, and just barely getting through a third of his homework... Peter was about ready to drop dead.
Luckily, he had Ned there with him, if he didn't he probably would have at that point, "Ned? Do the thing."
Ned looked up confused, did he miss something? Or is Peter just that tired where he forgot to include him in their conversations again? "What thing?"
Peter scooted closer and put his hands over his heart, "The thing that makes my heart soar."
Peter watched as Ned pieced it together in his head. It probably isn't the best thing for this line of business where you can read someone so clearly, but for moments like this, Peter was glad that Ned's expressions showed his exact thoughts.
"Oh, this?" Ned asked, smiling and Peter melted into his seat, unaware of the fact that he was grinning as well.
"There it is." The exhaustion Peter had felt washed off of him as he focused on the beautiful smile in front of him. Was there anything better than this? He didn't think so.
