Chapter Text
At first the sparkle at the corner of her eye barely even caught Sarah's notice - not until she turned and her heart nearly stopped at the sight of the perfect crystal. She looked around wildly but the house was quiet and looked undisturbed - not much had changed since her last visit - save for the crystal and . . . glitter scattered around it, the window behind open a crack.
Sarah's heart squeezed painfully and she was a beat too late to look away from the crystal, snared in the vision it showed her, forming Jareth's throne room.
Toby leaned into his King, tilting his head up to meet mismatched eyes in a sharp face, and grinned as a long-fingered hand cupped the nape of his neck, bringing him closer still for a soft kiss.
"Your sister has discovered you missing; she is watching," Jareth breathed against his lips, and Toby shivered at the sensation, the words taking a moment longer to sink in, "she wants you back."
Toby huffed, pouting slightly and reaching up, fingers sinking into Jareth's hair to draw him down for another kiss - a better kiss. "She's too late," he said, raising his own voice, "I have always belonged here, with you."
