Peter hummed as he cuddled into Chris’ chest. It was always nice to spend some time away from everything. Just the two of them, in a hidden cabin deep in the woods that no one really knew about.
Chris wrapped his arm around his very naked boyfriend and kissed the top of his head.
“You’ll spend the night here with me, right?”, Peter asked just to make sure.
Chris hummed affirmatively.
“Good. I sleep way better when I’m cuddled into your warm body.” Peter smirked and started to draw random little shapes with his finger on his boyfriend’s skin.
There was no reaction from Chris. Usually he’d laugh or nudge Peter or tell him to stop because it tickled. Not this time though.
“You seem to be elsewhere,” Peter noticed.
Chris just shook his head. “I’m right here, handsome,” he promised.
“Are you sure?” Peter lifted his head to look at Chris’ face.
“Peter.”
“What?” Peter pulled a face.
“I’m right here, okay?”, Chris repeated with a sigh.
“I see that. But something is still going on.”
The hunter groaned a little to himself. “You don’t have to worry, okay?”
“And now I feel like I do.”
Chris again shook his head. “Just try to get some sleep. You look tired and I love watching you sleep. You snore and it’s adorable.”
“I do not snore!”, Peter complained, nudging the other.
“You do.” Chris smirked but it disappeared from his face almost as quickly as it had come up. Something was definitely going on and Chris was the worst at hiding his feelings.
“Christopher,” Peter warned, completely serious again now. “What are you not telling me?”, he asked.
“What do you mean?”
“You are keeping something from me and I want to know what it is.”
Chris shook his head and just stayed quiet.
“Tell me. You’re worrying me.”
“Peter, love. I really don’t want to talk about it right now.” Chris sighed but leaned in to kiss the tip of Peter’s nose. “I don’t want you to worry, okay?”
Peter sat up on the bed they were both lying on. “I already worry. Did I do something wrong? Did I say something that upset you?”
“What? No. You didn’t do anything, Peter.”
“Then talk to me,” Peter demanded. “I thought we didn’t have any secrets. Did you do something bad? Did you kill someone?”
“Peter!” Chris sat up as well and grabbed both of Peter’s hands. “I didn’t do anything. And neither did you. Okay? Could you please calm down? Take a deep breath and then I’ll tell you what’s going on. Maybe you can even do something. Talk to him or something.” Chris sighed.
“Talk to whom?”
“Your nephew.”
Peter frowned. “Derek? What did he do?”
“Something really stupid.”
“Chris!” Peter groaned. “Get to the point. What did he do?”
“I think –“ Chris sighed, rubbing a hand over his face. “I think that he’s seeing my sister.”
“Wait, what?! Your sister Kate? Who’s at least ten or twelve years older than him?” Peter stared at Chris with wide eyes.
Chris sighed but nodded. “I don’t think she has good intentions. You need to talk to him, okay? I don’t want him to regret this later on.”
It took Peter a moment to calm down again but when he did he nodded. “I’ll make sure he won’t see her again.”
“Thank you.” Chris sighed. “I don’t want her to end up hurting him. In whatever way.” He pulled Peter back into his arms. “You can talk to him in the morning. Right now I want the cuddles you promised me.”
Peter offered a faint smile and nodded. “I love you, Chris Argent.”
