Investigating Insanity ~ Prologue
Tubbo had always had a passion surrounding paranormal activity. It had interested him from a young age, having had paranormal experiences of his own. This passion greatly increased in his early teenage years (possibly as a result of the ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot, though this was not likely the direct cause), resulting in him being a rather inquisitive student. Tubbo’s innumerable questions were never answered to a satisfactory degree, though he couldn’t blame his teachers. Paranormality was often regarded as a sort of, void, between, as many would say, “real science” and “make belief”, and an ordinary high school science teacher’s knowledge of dissections, chemical reactions and rocks couldn’t quite, grasp, the concept.
After his many questions being met with disappointment and even more disappointing “answers”, it forced him to seek like-minded people with as much passion as him. This is how Tubbo met Tommy. The pair had met during high school, after Tubbo had found a flyer advertising a ‘paranormal club’ of sorts, of which Tommy was the founder, and sole attendee, (so no, it wasn’t much of a club). The pair became friends, bonding over their niche interest, and went on to study at the same University, majoring in a subject relevant to the paranormal field, a course the two had been more than delighted to find. Eventually, the two wound up employed by a research institute, working together as Paranormal Investigators.
Tubbo and Tommy worked well as a team and had encountered many strange and seemingly unbelievable things. They’d examined supposed crash sites of UFO’s, ran tests on traces of scientifically unclassified beings. They even swear they saw a ghost once, watching them as they worked, though none of this could have prepared them for one case in particular.
