I dive into the walls of the Maw, my flashlight leading my way.
As much as I wanted to stay with my Nome friends, I had to leave in order to survive.
As I darted through the hole and passed through a maze of pipes, I came across the end.
I popped out from the hole, I landed on something hard and metal, an elevator perhaps?
As I stood in place on the object, the thing started to move confirming my suspicions.
Instead of moving down toward the exit, it moved up toward a place that every child tries their hardest to avoid: the Lady’s quarters.
I swallow and look down at the elevator, but obviously I couldn’t see anyone on it controlling it.
Though I couldn’t see who was on the elevator, I could still feel the familiar chill of shadows onboard.
Shadows that could only belong to one person the children know and feared the most out of the adults here on the Maw: the Lady!
