Chapter 1: Fluffy Ending

Chapter Text

  • You were of Midgard, a genetic test gone wrong (or right, some would say)
  • When Thor came down to retrieve the Tesseract, you were one of the original people to greet him, shifting into an oversized wolf seamlessly and threatening his manhood all in the same minute
  • It only got better from there
  • You could shift into anything! It didn’t matter if it was fictional or real; if you could dream it, you could do it
  • Heimdall saw you in the Battle of Midgard
  • You tore through the Chitauri like they were nothing but wet paper
  • You changed from a tiger, to a T-Rex, to a large purple dragon, all within the span of the battle.
  • You rained fire down your enemies, and you stole Heimdall’s heart too in the process
  • Heimdall’s magic recognized your magic immediately, no matter how much the humans tampered with it
  • It was powerful, potent, cloaking you in a shimmering golden shawl that only he saw
  • He always saw through your shifts, recognizing the glorious being underneath them
  • All he did was watch out for you
  • Your vigilante work was admirable, if not stupid because you were always on your own
  • SHIELD work was worse, since you seemed to be at more of a risk than your regular run-of-the-mill work
  • You always managed to get yourself out of scrapes, but how Heimdall longed to be there to assist you
  • You knew nothing of him, and yet he knew everything about you
  • For some reason, SHIELD placed you with Jane and Darcy as a protection detail; you stayed with them while they resided in London, even though you were grossly overqualified for the position
  • And then everything went to hell when Jane found the Aether
  • When Thor retrieved Jane from Midgard, with the intention to get rid of the Aether from her, you were with them
  • Fierce, vicious, bathed in a cloak of gold that writhed around you like a fire consuming your soul
  • Heimdall yearned to introduce himself, and finally he had a chance
  • “Lady Jane, welcome to Asgard.”
  • “A magic-yielding warrior arrives with you, Thor?” Heimdall’s eyes never left you, desire plain within his burning eyes
  • His gorgeous brown skin, his sculpted body wrapped in that golden armor, and those molten golden eyes lit something in your soul, and you allowed a small smile to grace your lips
  • As Thor and Jane walked ahead, you sauntered up to Heimdall and whispered in his ear, “I like you. I think I’ll keep you.” With a wink, you breathed, “I’ll see you tonight”
  • His teeth gleamed as he smiled. His voice rolled like thunder as he replied, “I look forward to it, my Lady”
  • You split your time between guarding Jane during the day, and meeting Heimdall in secret at night
  • When the Dark Elves invaded, you watched Heimdall jump from the top of the Observatory and take down the aircraft with admiration and lust
  • Everything went to hell after that! You couldn’t save the Queen, Jane was locked away, and you didn’t see Heimdall again until your fateful escape with Thor, Jane, and Loki
  • Heimdall watched you get away, and didn’t see you again until the Convergence, when your worlds collided
  • Again, it was a bloodbath, your teeth slicing through multiple elves and helping Thor to destroy Malekith, almost at the cost of both your lives
  • This time, though, Heimdall was right beside you, aiding you with every heft of his sword
  • The battle ended, and Heimdall returned to his duty. When Thor came back to Earth, abandoning his duty to stay with his lover, Heimdall knew it would be a long time before he ever saw you again
  • When Heimdall’s world went to shit, and he had to abandon his post as Gatekeeper to look after the Asgardians hidden from Hel, he put you to the back of his mind
  • Finally his people were safe, though now the Asgardians were nothing but refugees, beings with nowhere to turn
  • As Asgard burned, he searched the stars for you
  • You were peaceful in your sleep, worry-free and unaware of Heimdall’s plight, wrapped in a satin nightgown and sprawled across your large bed
  • Lost in his sight of you, he failed to see the attacking ship until it was too late, his people lost to the bloodbath caused by Thanos
  • Prince Loki was murdered for the Tesseract, and as Heimdall called the darkest magic to send the Hulk away, he prayed that he would go with him
  • His prayers were answered, by whom he did not know
  • The light encompassed him and the Hulk, but they did not land in the same areas for some reason
  • While the Hulk landed in New York, Heimdall landed in D.C., sore and tired but alive
  • You heard the thud on your balcony, and you readied your weapons for a fight. However, you were not ready for Heimdall to nearly fall in your arms, rumbling, “Death is coming”
  • Even as you sent out an alert to Tony and the other Avengers, you were smiling because your warrior was safe in your arms (and you felt like you escaped a fate worse than death)
