Work Text:
John Song scrubbed the sunscreen from his face; his trademark suit already shucked off and set off to the side to be brushed and cleaned later. He let out a deep sigh. As much as he loved his job as a travel vlogger, it was always good to be back under the same roof as –
“River!” Somehow he had missed the sound of the door opening and of his wife creeping up on him. The poke in the ribs, however…
“Good to see you too, John.” River grinned as her eyes swept up and down his skinny frame, masked only by his undergarments. “Hope you’re not too clean; I was just about to hit the shower.” She groaned as she peeled off her socks. “Not that the flint mining practices of Neolithic Belgians aren’t fascinating, but one woman’s hair can only handle so much dust and dirt.”
“You’ll have to tell me all about it,” he called to her as she moved around their bedroom, picking out a more comfortable outfit to change into after her (well, their) shower. “Want me to call in for takeout? New place just opened up.” He waggled his eyebrows at River as she walked back in, naked now. “I can write it off as an expense if I do a segment on it.”
“You’re incorrigible, you know. Though usually I like that about you.” River favored him with a profane smirk as she tested the water.
“Mm,” John allowed. “Maybe I’ll have to remind you. Two or three times, if necessary.”
