A sudden yet soft ringing echoes through the silence which Natsume used to read a book in. He recently came up with a new live effect for Switch's lives and started to do research on it. With an exhausted grunt he put down the book he was reading to check up on what made this ringing sound: his very own magic phone (smartphone). The screen was lit up, displaying a number he knew well. He sighed, then picked up his phone to answer the call.
"Baru-kun, you better have a very good explanation for calling this Late."
He received a surprised gasp as answer before Subaru started talking, his voice a bit pouty.
"Natsume! I wanted to tell you good job on your radio show earlier! Natsume's voice is so nice to listen to~ Since you picked up though, let's talk! ☆"
Usually he would refuse to talk after an exhausting day like this, but Subaru was similarly stubborn about wanting to chat, no matter what. Feeling defeated, Natsume sat up on his bed.
"Fine. However, one wrong word from you and I will hang Up."
Subaru's excitement was audible even through the phone. In a strange sense it was cute.
"Yay!! Let me start with thoughts about your good job then!~"
Subaru excitedly told him what parts he liked from the radio show (everything Natsume said), and what parts were not as good (everything the host said). Apparently Subaru had gathered as many people at ES as possible to join him listening as well. Unnecessary, Natsume thought, but showing off like this was very Subaru in the end.
They continued to talk about what else had happened recently, both in ES and just daily small talk topics. As the call went on, Natsume felt his sleepiness get to him and betray him by having him yawn audibly enough for Subaru to hear it. The latter one giggled amused.
"Your yawns are cute~"
Another sleepy yawn from Natsume.
"No they Aren't."
Subaru hummed, then gasped suddenly.
"Ah! It's midnight! It's your birthday, Natsume, happy birthday! I love you~ ☆"
Stupid Baru-kun, how was Natsume supposed to sleep when he made him flustered like this.
"...Thank You. I love you Too, Baru-kun."
