Work Text:

"Holy…"

Weisz shuffled through the door of his cabin, slipping his shoes off and plummeting into the comfort of his bed. He breathed in the familiar scent of his sheets, letting out a heavy sigh.

The crew had just gotten back from their rendezvous with one of the Oracion Seis Interstellar, Holy - who had generously offered them a deal in order to take down two common enemies that had coincidentally teamed up themselves. Ziggy and Crow, who were both powerful on their own and probably damn near impossible to take down as a pair. It certainly would be of benefit to have some backup for this fight.

On the other hand, the Interstellar had proven to be nothing but a hurdle the crew constantly had to face, especially since Shiki's placement into the Oracion Seis Galactica himself. Justice and Feather at least had already tried their hand at capturing Shiki once each in the past. So it was no surprise the lot of them were hesitant to trust Holy at her word.

Not only that, but right off the bat her actions and demeanor seemed almost too nice. Clearly, she was acting the part as a form of persuasion - it was all but obvious. Hell, it was even so apparent to someone as dense as Shiki.

A sweet lady, equipped with power enough to go toe to toe with that of the Oracion Seis Galactica, reaching out her hand to aid a member of that same group. It was basically an opportunity served to them on a silver platter.

It was too good to be true. Weisz knew that.

And yet…

There was a part of him, buried deep beneath the hesitancy to trust, that wished more than anything he could see her again.

Weisz rolled onto his back, grasping the fabric covering his chest and stared up at the ceiling. He'd completely bypassed the light switch, so his room was still shrouded in darkness - save for what little light the glimmering stars outside provided.

He closed his eyes, and without even having to try she was there. A voluptuous woman with long, flowing violet hair and sparkling eyes to match. The sound of her smooth voice echoed through his mind like a familiar melody stuck in his head. His heart fluttered.

Weisz was no stranger to attraction and the feelings that came along with that - he'd seen many beautiful women and men throughout all the cosmos the crew had journeyed through so far. Though, something felt a bit different when Holy came to mind. Something he hadn't quite felt before.

Was it the way she carried herself with such confidence? The way she crossed her legs and spoke so matter-of-factly? The air of mystery surrounding her? Or perhaps the way her lips curled into that alluring smile?

The smile that was oh so sweet, but Weisz was nearly certain it was there to hide her true intentions. Like a shiny red apple free of imperfections, Weisz found himself tempted to indulge despite poison that may lay under the surface.

His entire body felt warm.

The last thing any of them needed going into battle with the infamous Demon King Ziggy was distractions. If the others had their head in the game, he owed it to them to keep up. They were his family, and above all else, keeping them safe was his first priority - nothing could change that fact. Not even a woman as enticing Holy.

That being said, Weisz would be lying if he said he wasn't secretly hoping the crew would ultimately decide to take Holy up on her offer.

Tonight, he would contribute his thoughts in a logical manner - laying aside his desires - as with any other crew meeting they had, and let the pieces fall as they may. He was prepared to never see Holy again, and perhaps that was for the best.

But if, by chance, they meet again - perhaps he could take that as a sign. For what, who knows. Either way, if they ever meet again he might just end up entangled in her charms.

He smiled softly to himself, "What a fate that would be…"
