Chapter 1: Sorry I Left You

Chapter Text

"Well, bye then. He was a bit full of himself!"
"I've got a couple of questions-" Yaz said raising her hand.
"A couple!? I got a book full... But shouldn't we keep up with those two before they get too far away?" Graham asked, gesturing to the two space racers walking off through the valley of this sandy desert.

"Right, okay, no problem, just pass over the threshhold like you always have been doing... God, it's been too long!...Okay! SILVER YOU GOT THIS-" Silver whispered to herself. She closed her eyes and a second later-

"Silver? Is that you?" The Doctor yelled from the crater of a sanddune.
"Uhh yeah, hey. Woah, I've never moved that quickly... One sec-" Silver turned round and puked all over the sand by her feet.

The Doctor scrunched her nose up in disgust. "Oooh... Not nice..."
"Doctor... Who is that?" Yaz asked pointing to the woman on the dune.
"An' are they alrigh'?" Ryan continued.
"Yeahh... Yeah, hold that thought-" The Dr took off in a stiff walk, then broke into a power walk and then finally into a full on jog to get to Silver. The 'fam' looked at each other and shrugged, following after her but at a distance as she seemed to have a connection with the woman and they could tell. "Silver... Ohh, Silver!" The Doctor stood behind her and Silver wiped her mouth and the Doctor launched at her, hugging her to her chest.
"Wohoaahh, I 'ave literally just puked everywhere, I wouldn't be so cheery and close... Ooo.. Uhh, turn around a sec, I think I got spit on your coat. Soz.."
"Mehh it's aight, as long as it ain't sick, I'm not too bothered!" The Doctor said with a little chuckle. She beamed again and hugged Silver once more.
"Hey, hey, what's with all the hugging, Doc?" Silver asked.
"Well, I can't kiss ya, you've just been all sickyy..." The Doctor pointed out and then prodded her finger firmly into her cheek.
"Haha, alright, fair enough. I might have a mint actually... Ooh, got some gum, that'll do the trick!" Silver reached into her TARDIS pockets and found some Extra gum, mint-bubblegum flavour. She popped one out and stuck it in her mouth. "Want one?" She asked the Dr.
"Yeah, alright then!" She took one and put it in her mouth, squelching the gum between her teeth.

"Oi, Doc, we should get goin', yeah?" Ryan asked, nodding back to the two space racers.
"..Yeah... Silver. A-are you able of coming with us?" The Doctor asked sheepishly. When Silver didn't answer for a moment, the Doctor added, "I- I would really like it if you did, it'd be just like old times.."
"Hmmm...." Silver strung it out, walking around the Doctor, looking at the different companions and put her fist up for Yaz to fist bump. She did so with a confused frown to her features. Silver then went up to Graham and stared into his features, not looking at his eyes.
"Doc, wha's she doin'?" Graham asked nervously.
"I dunno, it's Silver... When it comes to her, logic means zilch. Zero. Nada. NOTHING!" The Doctor smiled and skipped about on the spot.
Then Silver raised her hand slowly, eyes staring into Graham's nervous eyes, making sure to keep his attention on her eyes. She then pinched his cheek and pulled on his wrinkles and only let go when she got a yelp as a reaction. She gasped with a psychotic smirk and when Ryan laughed at her actions, she twirled perfectly on the spot and slapped his cheek - only causing a fast sting to his cheek but the best slap sound effect.
"oW! What the heck was that for?" Ryan asked with a hand rubbing his now sore cheek.
"Hah! That was the best slap sound I have EVER made! Thank you, sir, means a lot~" She smirked and leant into his personal space, he got flustered easily and ceared his throat.
Yaz stared at her incredulously with her lips parted slightly.

The Doctor walked off towards the two space racers and called, "Silv, you coming or no?"
  "I thought I said yes?..."
"Nah, you didn't." Graham clarified.
"Oh, well I did in my head, that's good enough for me. DOCTAAAAAH~" Silver squealed excitedly and skipped off towards her, when she got next to her she pulled out the gum wrapper and spat it into it then pocketed it and kissed the Dr on her cheek. "Come on, wifey~"
"Oh, that's right! I'm a woman now!... Wow, still not gotten used to that!" The Dr chuckled.

The Doctor, Silver and teh companions came to a steep sand dune which they had to get down if they were to cross the place outlands to get to the river and boat.
"This is where I wish Missy was still with us..." Silver admitted.
"What, why?" The Dr asked back, not looking at her just down at the steepness.
"I could have a piggy back ride on her and we could Mary Poppins the fucker down!" Silver cackled.
"Pffft, yeah, I can see that happening actually!" The Dr said, guffawing at the start.

"Doctor, how are we meant to get down there?" Yaz asked, warily eyeing the dune.
"Easy. We walk, feet sideways so we don't sli-AAAAAAAH!" One of the Space Racers stated then started screaming when he went tumbling down.
"Pfft, dumbass. I have the perfect solution!" Silver reached into the depths of her pockets and pulled out a wooden surfboard. She fumbled for another, slid it out and handed one to Yaz, one to the Dr and one to Graham. "RIGHT THEN! Get on gang! Yaz you're with cool hair, Grandad your with sonny boy, babs you're with me! We'll go first so you don't break your fragile human and Arbillion (A/N can't remember what race she was sorry) selves!"

Silver took the board and flopped it on the sand, the Doctor smiled and said, "Alright! This looks rockin'!"
"Mhmhmhm~ I aim to please~" Silver flirted shamelessly.
"Uh, guys, the board!" Yaz pointed out.
"What about it? How did I fit it in my pockets?... Well, I can answer that-"
"No, darling, the board, quick!" The Doctor said, pulling on Silver's sleeves.
"SHHIII-" Silver started running down the hill after it, "SITTING OR STANDING?!"
"WHAT?" The Doctor yelled in question back, also running with her hand being pulled along by Silver.
"ARE WE GONNA SIT OR- OH TOO LATE! STANDING IT IS!" Silver yanked the Doctor's arm forward as they both jumped onto the board, leaning back, the Doctor behind Silver, holding onto her shoulder for support and when she almost fell off the back, Silver swatted her hand around behind her and grabbed onto what she could, that being the Doctor's buttcheek, but there was no defiance on her part, a slight squeal but it was not at all unwelcomed.

"Did she jus'-"
"Yeah, looks like it-"
"Good on her!" Shouted the space racer 'cool hair'. She quickly held onto Yaz and sat them both down on the board, they went sliding off down the hill after the Dr and her shameless wife.
"You ready, son?" Graham asked.
"Not like I have a choice... And STOP calling me 'son'!" Ryan grouched.
"Right..." Graham said, sitting on the sled-like surfboard. Ryan sitting behind him and they pushed off, following after Yaz and the other women.

"WOOHOOOO!" Ryan shouted from the fun of it all.
   "OH MY GOOODDDDD!" Yaz screamed.
"FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCCCKK THERE'S A ROCK!" Silver pointed to the stone jutting out of the sand.
"Oh bollocks-" The Doctor said, the board wedging its nose into the space between the sand and the rock, and as if in slow motion the Doctor and Silver went flying through the air.
Silver's hands were moving like she was doing doggy-paddle mid-air, the Dr was doing a similar flying swim but her arms were reach for Silver's back. Eventually, she caught her ankle and pulled at her, falling on top of her in the sand. "Euhhhh.." the Dr groaned.
"Hmm.. That's a new feeling..." Silver bucked her back up, pressing her butt into the Doctor's frontal body parts.
"Wahh- what is?" The Doctor asked, standing up, peeking her head sideways to look at her strange lover in a bent squish on the floor.
"Well, for one, all the sand in my lungs right now-" Which she then proceeded to cough up and it came out of her like plumes of storm clouds.
"What's the other thing?" The Doctor asked, seeing that Yaz and the others were moving towards the boat at the river and giggling amongst themselves at how much fun the surfboarding down a sand dune had been.
A second later, Silver had her full attention as she stood up right in front of her, her face in the Dr's personal space, close enough for their noses to brush against one another. The Dr struggled with her breath and Silver said, "I didn't feel your erection against my back, that's what was the other difference~" She allowed her hand to wander downwards and the Doctor's breath caught again. Silver slid her finger down from the Dr's belt and quickly down until it slipped off and past her thigh gap. Silver winked at her as the Doctor hiccuped a short breathy sound. Her eyes wide and her breathing trying to steady itself. "Come on, the others will get worried." Silver stated, her hand outstretched and clamping open and closed as a gesture for the Dr to place her hand in her wife's.
"Why do you always leave and then come back like nothing has happened?" The Doctor blurted out before thinking over her words.
Silver paused for a moment and looked at her wife with a more seiousness to her features but there was still that chaotic good to her eyes. "Because I know you hate endings... Though, don't ever think me leaving you is THE ending, it might be AN ending.. But it will never end, you and I are forever, and I mean that. I'll love you in whatever form you take."
"Even if I became a slitheen?"
"Sure. I mean, no sex but we could figure something out, I'm sure! I mean, I'm sure those claws can be used for something other than territorial fights, and that mucusy slick they produce, let's hope I'm a man at the time, it could be really useful." Silver said, reassuringly but in her own silly way.
The Doctor chuckled lightly then snorted at the last part. "Oh, sorry, that was not at all attractive-" The Doctor stated.
"You'd be surprised~" Silver dipped the Doctor and snogged her in the sand, the Doctor curled her leg into the curve of Silver's bending knee.

When Silver had pulled away, the Doctor's eyes glazed over and she said in a lusting whisper, "God, I should've been a woman years ago if I'd 'ave known this would be how you would react!"
"Hmm, come along sweetcheeks, your companions await!" Silver skipped about and let the Dr link arms with her.

~

"There she is! My beautiful ghost monument!" The Doctor swept over to her TARDIS, practically running over the uneven terrain and stroking the doors.
Yaz and the others went to follow her but Silver held up her arms and said, "Let her have a minute."
The others nodded.
"Silver, can I ask you a question?"
"You certainly can, look at you! What a good question that was, wow, I couldn't come up with that in a billion years! And I've lived a few of them!"
"Hang on you're like a billion years old?! Does that mean you're like the Doctor-" Ryan asked dumbfounded.
"What, sexy as hell in a thong? Yeah, probably, never really tried... I'm gonna make a mental note of making up some excuse to get her into one..." Silver whispered on a tangent.
"Uhh.. No, I meant like are you an alien too?" Ryan clarified.
"Ohhhh HAHA! Why didn't you just say so?"
"Good lord, whoever's married to you must have a great time tryna decipher some a the stuff that comes outta your mouth!" Graham said with a dry chcukle at the end. Yaz frowned slightly at his sentence.
"I was born on Earth but in about... a decillion two-fold years I become a universe, a different one than this one, I'm a solar system packed into a Time Lady's body... I have 10 more regenerations befor I become something else... I hope it's not a dragon again, christ, it was fun sure but I had to sit in the swimming pool in the Dr's TARDIS for all the meetings... Also, thanks Graham, I hope you're right, I love bein' a lil enigmatic! Also, I am married to... uhh to you it would be about 20 odd people but to me I have two current wives. One is in the future in the 8th billion years today, and the other... Yeah, I don't know yet if she still wants me around, we'll find out though." Silver's eyes seemed to gloss with some unknown emotion but it was gone as quickly as it had appeared. "RIGHT! Let's go then!" She leaped over the rocky outcrop and made dramatic movements and twirly dances as she got closer to the TARDIS, "I missed you too, baby~ Ooh, lovin' the hookers green!" Silver purred while kissing the TARDIS doors and stroking the wood sensually.

"You expect us all to fit in there?"
"At the same time?" Yaz added.
"Yeah!" The Doctor answered after marvelling at the redecorrated TARDIS.
"Seriously? Ain't it gonna be a total squish?!" Graham asked.
"That's what makes it all the more fun, big boy~" Silver teased mercilessly.
"OI! I AM MARRIED!" Graham yelled at her.
"So am I, I won't tell if you don't~" Silver winked conspicuously.
"Christ! Doc, isn't there something we can do about her?" Graham asked with a huff. "Cuz I ain't coming in if she's gonna be like that!"
"Whaddyou expect me to do about her?"
"I don't know! Just shut her up! Knock her out! I don't care, as long as she stops being so- so-"
"Silver-ish?"
"Awww you made me into a verb, you dooo love me~" Silver kissed the corner of the Dr's lips and left her frazzled, blinking in the doorway of her TARDIS.
"Can you please stop kissing me while I'm trying to stick up for you?" The Dr asked, hands on hips.
"Admit it, you like it, babes~" Silver purred.
"That's beside the point-" The Dr said, rolling her eyes. She turned back to her fam and gestured for them to come in.
"Fine!" Graham said. "But I swear, if you say anything else like that to me again, I'll knock you out myself!"
"WOah! WOAH! No! You will do NO such thing!" the Dr said, slicing her hands outwards to state she was absolutely serious.
"I'd like to see you try, Mr Floppy~" Silver insulted humourously, her eyes darting down at his crown jewels, making him lose his cool, he rose his hand and punched Silver in the face but instead of punching a face, firm and living, he stumbled through a cloud of silverish particles.
An echoic, sentient laugh ricochet throughout the TARDIS and it sounded maniacal and psychotic.
"What the-" Graham asked, looking around, seeing the bright silver lights dance around the spike of crystal in the centre of the TARDIS console. It settled up in one of the chairs by a bookshelf and Silver sat there naked with a glass of Sherry. "How did she- What?!" Graham stuttered confusedly, spinning on his heel and fumbling over his words.
Yaz and Ryan both looked at Silver in awe, mouths slightly ajar.
"Did she not tell you she's the balance between Life and Death, Creation ad Destruction and eventually becomes a Nebula then a solar system?" The Doctor asked with a fun shrug. "So, home?"
"You can take us there?" Yaz asked.
"Yeah, 'course! This is a space and time travelling machine! Time And Relative Dimension In Space, or TARDIS for short!" The Doctor smiled excitedly.
The fam stared on in awe and the Doctor pulled down the levers and put in the coordinates.
~
"Look. I'm sorry about me being the way I am. I know I go too far but I can't help it. Have you ever gone to points where you think 'I've gone too far' and then, ordinarily people would stop themselves...?" Silver said, leaning against one of the railings with Graham who growled at the sight of her.
Graham finally gave her a look and said, "Yeah.."
"Well.. I don't have anything to inhibit that. I know I'm not a good person. Christ, I'm a living, breathing, somehow functioning psychopath..." That comment caught Graham short and he stared at her, as if asking why she was telling him all this, then he was answered. "..But you know that psychopaths can love if they choose to. Those whom have my love are a specific few... Maybe I'll never be able to feel the kind of love you had felt for your wife... But... It's the only way of loving I know. My admiration, adoration and respect for my wives are true enough to me and to them. I know that you probably won't understand where I'm coming from... But. I love the Doctor and would do anything to protect her. I would sacrifice my future, my life, my soul for her... And anyone who she loves I will also protect and care for as much as my being will allow it." She paused, never once looking at him, just staring down at the Doctor with fond eyes as she gnawed on a custard cream at the control panels. Graham stared at her though. His eyes didn't leave her face which seemed so aged in that second. Suddenly she looked so wise. So old. So mature. And so broken. "So... Graham, you're one of her companions now. Expect me to be the way I am but.. I will protect you with my life, along with your grandson and Yasmin. If you or any others need a favour, if you are dying, I can revive you. But only once. I may be a powerful being but I am still a child. I am still too young for the completion of what everyone wants me to be able to do. I'm sorry." She leaned away from the railings and walked off, furthering into the TARDIS, possibly to go and talk with Sexy alone.
Graham watched her retreating back and said, "I forgave you already. You didn't have to tell me all that. But thank you."
Silver nodded and continued walking.
