"It's done!" A boy with red hair and blue eyes exclaimed as he placed a gingerbread on its own gingerbread house. A younger girl with the same hair color and red eyes observed as she admired her brother's work. She was standing in a man’s lap who was holding her to make sure she won’t fall.
“Will this hold better than before, brother?” The boy looked at his older brother and the latter only smiled, patting the head of the younger ones.
“Well done kids! And we can now eat it.” The man, Kaeya took a piece of the gingerbread house.
The children gasp not believing what their uncle had just said.
“But it’s the cookies' house! Why would we want to eat their home?"
“Well, uhh that’s how we always do?”
The younger girl started crying and the boy followed suit seeing his little sister cry. Kaeya panicked before two strong arms carried the two kids and starts calming them down.
"Uncle Kaeya!" Razor glared at his uncle,
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry. Uncle was just joking!” He hastily grabbed a piece of another gingerbread and patched the wall he has eaten, “See? We can rebuild it again.”
Razor soothed them more, hushing them and whispering how Kaeya only joked. He also showed them how to rebuild the wall and distracted them by asking them to name the two gingerbread men.
Kaeya only sighed as he watched the kids play once more. It's amazing how Razor easily adapted to his new family after being officially adopted by the couple. It was a decision Y/n has made after a year into marrying Diluc. Razor was willing of course and immediately called Y/n his mother while it took a while for him to call Diluc ‘father’.
After only a few weeks, the three of them already acted like a real family. It was peaceful, to be honest, the couple taught him everything as the teen take everything in, growing his love for them. Kaea was even surprised to know that he was a fast learner. Within a few months, Adelinde started teaching him etiquette as a noble.
While he still visits the forest for his 'lupical' and Andrius, Razor always comes back before anyone worries. But it lessened when the couple's firstborn came to them. Kaeya never thought that after having a younger brother, Razor would act more mature. And now that he has a little sister and another little sibling coming he was giving his best to be the best big brother in whole Teyvat.
The two kids who were two years apart were also amazing. Y/n gave birth to the boy two years after their wedding and another two years for the girl. Just like his older brother, Crepus as named after his grandfather, who is now 6 years old made sure to be a big brother to their younger sister, Diane who is 4 years old.
Kaeya will never get tired of seeing how sweet the three are. Both older brothers are overly protective of their own sister while Diane always follows in her brothers' footsteps. It's actually assuring how they all do nothing but make their parents proud of them.
Of course, the occasional sibling fight will be there, where it's usually Kaeya who instigate it but that's for another story.
“Can we go see Mama now?” Diane asks her uncle, showing her puppy eyes, which of course she knew was effective against him.
“Na-uh, dear, you know the rules. But don’t worry, we’ll see them soon.” Kaeya tried to ignore the eyes but he knew that another of that move and he'll give in.
Y/n already gave birth last night, but as practiced, they were not allowed in the room for a few hours or a day. The lady of the house wanted to spend the first few hours with her baby only with her husband. It was like a ritual that every time she gave birth, she wanted a peaceful time with the baby and her husband. No visitors and they schedule every regions’ visits.
It all started because of her weak body.
As someone made from alchemy, it was already a shock that she was able to get pregnant. The Dendro Archon explained that her body was slowly adapting and turning into a human as time passes by and it was all thanks to Seire's blessings.
When Crepus was born, her body wasn't that complete yet, she almost lost her life. They all thought that she will die so Diluc ordered his people to let him spend the night alone with her and the baby for the last time. Thankfully she got through it with the help of a few healers from Sumeru coming in time.
But the fear will never be completely gone, even when the second, Diane, was born, everyone was ready if something happened again. Thankfully, her body was strong enough for the girl but they retained the no visitors for a few days policy.
When the couple announced their incoming third one, almost everyone went in shock and become worried, but Y/n herself told them it is the last one. They still got ready for this pregnancy.
Sure this third one should be easier but almost everyone couldn't help but worry when it felt like her pregnancy was a bit difficult this time. Her constant morning sickness and weakness didn't help it. It went to the point that all the archons advised her to just only rest and stop her library work.
And even now when she went into labor Purson herself suddenly came to the room hours before they announced that Y/n safely gave birth. It still didn’t lessen the worry Kaeya has.
Kaeya was an exception to the no visitors allowed as he is the one who takes care of the kids while their mother is in labor. When Crepus was born, it was Razor who called him and made everyone keep calm. It was also his idea to call the Sumerian healers visiting Mond.
Without him, Diluc was sure that he'll go mad knowing that his lover will die. After that, Y/n naturally entrusted her kids to him.
“Diluc-sama is calling for everyone.” Adelinde came to the room they were in ushering them to follow her to the couple’s room.
“Oh, it’s fine now? Let’s go kids.” The three leaped with excitement and held into the adults’ hands. Razor calmed them down while Kaeya asked for updates.
“Is she okay now?”
“My lady already finished breastfeeding them so it’s fine.” Adelinde said as she opens the door.
“Oh, alright but they- wait did you say them?”
The maid only smiled in response and Kaeya finally saw the couple. They were sitting on the bed, and both held one baby each.
…Two babies?
“Archons, your jaw will fall, Kaeya.”
“Twins?!” The cryo user half-whispered and half-shouted. The couple only laughed at his reaction. It was understandable.
Twins are very rare in Teyvat, the number of twins that are known can only be counted in both hands. Even the famous twins who came to save Teyvat were from another world was a sight to behold for the people. There was no definite reason for this phenomenon, but for the whole continent, having twins is a sign of blessing and peace.
"Well we didn't see it coming too, she started pushing again after the first came out," Diluc said looking proudly at both babies, while Y/n hit him lightly.
"Purson said that it must be the reason why I was weak and always tired. Growing and sustaining two lives is not an easy task."
"By Barbatos, so that is why. Are you okay now?"
"Don't worry I'm much better."
"Mama, what’re twins? And why do you have two babies?" Diane asks, eyes wide open looking at her little siblings.
"Well, twins are…” Y/n scratched her head trying to explain the idea to them, "To put it simply, they are like Aether nii-san and Lumine nee-san.” The kids only nodded, Y/n can explain this better when they grew more.
"Razor, Crepus, come on," Diluc called his sons, “Hold your siblings.”
The two boys slowly approached their parents and were guided to hold the little babies. The two look with wonder as they hold them.
“They’re beautiful.” The younger one whispered. Diluc carried Diane and let her touch the twins.
“Mama look, this one has your hair!” Crepus exclaimed, as soon as he saw how the baby in his arms has the same silver hair as his mom’s.
“She does, darling. Isn’t she pretty?”
“Yes!”
“Dada, what are their names?”
“The one brother Razor is holding is Ansel, and the one with mom's hair is Sylvie.” Diluc smiled,
“Nice to meet you, Ansel, Sylvie! I'm your sister Diane!”
“They are glad to meet you too darling. Well, can you promise me that you’ll be the best older sister for them?”
“Of course, Mama! I will be!”
The couple smiled at their children, the twins rested comfortably in their brothers’ arms while being adored by their older sister. Y/n can see Adelinde at the side taking pictures in the Kamera. It wasn’t until Diluc noticed Kaeya slowly backing away from them.
“Kaeya, your turn.” The cryo user stopped, smiling slyly as if he was caught doing something bad.
“Geez, you already know how to hold babies what’s new?”
“I might drop them, Luc. They’re tinier than the first two.”
“You won’t, and we trust that you don’t.” Adelinde gently pushed the cavalry captain towards the bed, urging him to hold the babies.
“You can’t leave these two without holding them, Kae. Not when you held the first two when they were born.” Y/n smiled as she helped her son to pass the babies to him.
Kaeya sat on the chair near Diluc and gently embraced the twins. The cryo user breathed in relief as he secure his hold and was mesmerized. They both have crimson eyes, glowing in curiosity and wonder. The girl held out her hand trying to reach for his face and so he leaned in.
He chuckled as soon as the little hand touched his nose while the boy only yawned. Kaeya looked at their parents and smiled at them.
"They're very beautiful."
"Arent' they?" He nodded, as he look at the twins again. Surely these two are his family's blessing.
Kaeya knew that his old self will never even think of being in this situation. After being forgiven by his brother, he would never imagine he will be back to Winery and even now have nephews and nieces. His little family grew and grew and he felt the love he thought he already lost when Master Crepus died.
He smiled wider, his family is now complete.
“Welcome to Teyvat little ones.”
