Work Text:

Being a childhood friend of an idol sucks.

Once people found out that you have an idol friend, in addition a popular one at that, they just wouldn’t stop bugging you to get either their sign, their phone number, free concert ticket, asked to be introduced to them, or even go as far as asking for their used article of clothing.

No wonder it makes him questioning what’s inside these people’s head sometimes.

But what’s more, he’s also in love with this 'idol' friend of him.

So yeah, life is officially suck for one Kim Sunoo.

---

“I mean, how many times do I have to tell them that we’re barely "childhood friend” anymore?! The last time I saw him is like, what, four years ago? Before that damned agency decided to scoop him up and take him away from me,” rambles Sunoo furiously over the phone to Jungwon, his best friend in college whom he loves dearly (after Sunghoon of course).

(But he will never say it out loud, mind you, especially knowing how big Jungwon’s head will become if he ever heard about this.)

His mood immediately took a drastic turn in just a mere second, going into downward spiral before he can't stop it. No matter how many times it had happened before, reminder that he will probably never gonna see Sunghoon again always succeeds to put him into a depressed state every single time.

And he really hates himself for that.

“Actually Won, never mind that. I’m just gonna head home now. Talk to you later,” he finally says and ends the call even before Jungwon can give any reply to his previous rambling. But knowing him, his response usually will just consists of him trying to calm Sunoo down or giving sassy remarks to those people, which helps a lot usually, but maybe not this time around. He just wants to go home and curled up on his bed, crying and pitying himself for falling for someone he won't ever be able to reach.

Park Sunghoon. A phenomenon who made his debut a year ago and already has everyone wrapped around his finger in just a short period of time.

A bless to music industry, if one might say.

Someone who has the looks, the voice, the brain, the attitude, the physical, and everything you could ask for to make a perfect idol.

But no matter who he is or who he had become, for Sunoo, he will always be the same timid kid who will follow him everywhere like a chick following his mother hen wherever she goes.

It feels like such a long time ago, almost to the point where it has become a blurred memories that Sunoo could no longer recall vividly in his mind's eyes.

When he still has the thick glasses that always perched on the top of his nose, and body so lanky that he might actually get blown away by strong gust of wind. So it's inevitable really, when young Sunoo always had the overwhelming urge to protect the older, especially remembering the fact that Sunghoon got picked up a lot during their childhood days, with no friend to back him up except for Sunoo.

It has a lot of people wondering, how could someone like Sunghoon, who's very quiet and barely had any friends back then, could get along so well with someone as sociable and cheerful as Sunoo. The both of them are literally at the opposite ends of almost everything.

But what can you say, really. Even with so many people flocking him on daily basis, Sunoo always feel the most comfortable with Sunghoon, and so does Sunoo to Sunghoon.

Maybe it's true what people are saying. Opposites really do attract one another. It's one of many wonders that life can offer to us, always having it's way to make things happen, no matter how absurd it might sound or look like.

But then again, beside life's absurdness, human is also an unique creature that has a lot of dynamics in their life, be it in a physical form or their mentality.

And it's seems to be the case with Sunghoon too.

Because suddenly, everything took a drastic turn in high school, when he grows so fast his height has surpassed Sunoo in no time, in line with the way his body has filled up in all the right places. Suddenly he’s not Sunghoon the lanky boy in the neighborhood anymore, but a very handsome and very tall heartthrob with lean muscles and broad shoulders.

Sunghoon has always been quite timid and almost always keeps to himself, but in his new ‘form’, he somehow has comes off as mysterious and cold, succeeded in making people got all curious about him.

But it's not all.

If anything, it's the start of Sunoo's heartbroken journey.

Sunghoon, being the shy boy that he is, actually has a dream of becoming an idol. He always find enjoyment in dancing and singing, and has practiced diligently for the past few years, along with attending some vocal lessons here and there.

And he realizes that it's not an easy dream to have, but he's been working so hard all this time, and Sunoo is the living proof of that, being one and only Sunghoon audience that he is.

His dream always seemed so far fetched, until that day came around.

The day when it's finally at the grasp of his hand.

Sunoo still remembers vividly the day when Sunghoon come to him all excited and shouted “Sunoo-ya, guess what?! I got scooted up by Belift on my way back home from school! They invited me for an audition three weeks from now. Oh my God can you believe this?!” while hugging and lifted Sunoo off the ground easily, something that he's able to do just recently. Sunoo can't describe exactly how he's feeling at that time, it's so many things mixed together, but it surely feels as if his heart just dropped to his stomach, as if his world has just been turned upside down. He can feel bile rises to his throat but quickly schooled his expression into one of excitement when Sunghoon finally released him and put him back on the ground.

"Oh my God really? I’m so happy for you Hoon! I’m sure you’ll do well in your audition. You will definitely make them fall for you,” he had said, trying to be a supporting friend that he knew Sunghoon needed, even when he could feel a slight wetness in his eyes.

“I know right!” Sunghoon answered excitedly while smiling so wide his dimple peeked out from his right cheek, something that rarely appeared on Sunghoon mostly stoic face. If anything, it just made Sunoo's heart aches even more, imagining that he might not be able to witness it with his two eyes anymore.

But then, a thought seemed to occur to Sunghoon, followed by a somehow deflated expression on his handsome face. “But what if I messed up or maybe it turns out that I’m not good enough for them?” he said while chewing his lower lip, one of his nervous habit that always got him scolded by Sunoo every single time it happens.

This action, along with what he just said, of course resulted in an angry Sunoo.

(Not for real though. Sunghoon has always been his weak spot after all.)

“Ya! Have more confident in yourself would you? You’re the most amazing person that I’ve ever know, so you must believe in yourself!” said Sunoo while punching the other’s arm lightly. “Besides, once they hear you sing and see you dance I believe they will fall for you immediately. That’s the power of Park Sunghoon you see,” he added softly at the end.

A smile started to crawl back to Sunghoon’s face. He finally laughed while pretending to rub the part where Sunoo had punched him. “You’re just being biased Noo. You say that because I’m your best friend. But still, thanks for the encouragement. I’ll try my best at the audition,” he said while smiling softly at the younger.

Sunoo smiles back, but deep down inside, he couldn’t help but feels dread settled up at the pitch of his stomach.

Because he knew, if Sunghoon passes the audition, there’s no way they can be the same anymore.

---

To no one’s surprise, Sunghoon passed the audition and has moved to Seoul ever since to focus more on his training.

Leaving Sunoo and everyone else behind.

Sunoo has said his farewell with tears smeared down his pretty face, with a promise to never lost contact and that Sunghoon will not forget about him, no matter how famous he'll become later.

And at first, Sunghoon still try to make time to call him every so often.

But it was hard.

With packed training schedule while still trying to attend classes in his new school in Seoul, the messages and routine night calls started to get less and less.

Days become weeks, weeks become months, until one day, it just stopped coming altogether.

Sunoo can see it coming, had predicted it since the beginning, but it still didn’t lessen the hurt he feels inside.

Sure, he will always support Sunghoon no matter what, but is it really too much to ask for them to remain the same even when things are bound to change?

Or it's just the price that he has to pay for falling in love with his best friend?

---

Years passed and now Sunoo is in his third year in university. He passed the test to a music program in an university in Seoul, and has lived by himself in a rented apartment ever since.

But he didn’t tell Sunghoon about this.

There's a chance that Sunghoon might heard about this from his mother, who's still get in contact with Sunoo's mother from time to time.

But heck, Sunoo doesn't even know whether he still remembers him or not.

Has it ever passed his mind, even once, about Sunoo's whereabout and wellbeing? He didn’t even know if Sunghoon is aware that they live in the same city now.

Does he even care whether Sunoo is still alive or not?

Sunoo is really scared to find out the answer.

Because the bigger part of himself has always believed that Sunghoon didn't care and had already forgotten all about him.

Because really, who does he think he is? He’s just a childhood friend from the past.

A childhood friend who likes Sunghoon, long before everybody else does.

A nobody who falls for the nerdy boy who’s always smiling even when he's being mocked on about his appearance.

Six years, Sunoo thinks, is not a short time to be in love.

---

“I hate you,” he says to Sunghoon’s poster that is pasted on his bedroom wall.

It’s obviously a lie, of course, but it’s just his defensive mechanism to protect his heart from all the sad thoughts, so there he goes again with his love-hate cycle that he usually vents out to Sunghoon (poster).

And Sunghoon (poster) just looks back at him with his intense black eyes and sweet dimpled smile.

He really hates himself for this.

---

Sunoo will not lie and being a jerk by pretending not to like Sunghoon. He is a Sunghoon’s fan after all, and a dedicated one at that. He is among the first to know any news about him, streams his MVs on Youtube, bought his albums, watches every single reality or variety shows which featured Sunghoon, and always fanboys over his good looks that was captured by fansites.

Sometimes, he will also randomly talk to Sunghoon (poster) in his bedroom. Whether it's about his daily life, or things that made him happy or sad. As if it's real Sunghoon that he's talking too.

(Sunoo couldn't help but think that he's gone crazy sometimes.)

But aside from being a hardcore fanboy, Sunoo is also a coward.

He joined the fancafe, but is using a fake account in case Sunghoon will recognize who he is.

And up until now, he never dared to come to any of Sunghoon’s fan meeting or fan sign events.

Jungwon always encourages him to just go and meet Sunghoon, saying that of course he will be happy to meet Sunoo, since Sunoo is his best friend after all.

But he just couldn't help but feel scared at the prospect of meeting Sunghoon face to face after all these years.

“What if he had forgotten about me?”

“What if the reason he stopped contacting me is because he feels that there’s no need to be friends with me anymore, since I’m just… me. A nobody in this world. A boy who’s too small for this big world.”

Because really, if Sunoo is being honest with himself, he wouldn’t want to be with someone like him too. Someone so full of negativities and insecurities, who always let the world swallows him whole.

“Why would he want to be with someone like me, when he can have anyone he want?”

But what he most afraid of is actually the possibility that Sunghoon will not recognize him among the many people who loves him. He already got all the love from his fans, so there’s no need for additional love from someone as unsignificant as Sunoo, right?

'Right,' his mind would whisper at him every single time.

And Jungwon will just frown at him while scolding him gently, “Hyung, I have never met someone who is more wonderful than you are. You always see the goodness in people, never judge, and has a very big heart for someone your size. Also, you know very well that I will not stick to someone which I think as bad right?”

Which might be true, considering the fact that Jungwon is a kind-hearted and sensitive boy who deserves all the best in this world. And he also has a tendency to attracts only good people towards him.

But then again, maybe he’s just being too nice and keep on being with Sunoo out of pity.

Gosh he really hates it when his mind keeps on producing all these bad and negative things.

He believes in Jungwon, he really is.

But the insecurities in his mind always scream at him, that he don’t deserves anyone in this world. That he is destined to be alone.

That he and Sunghoon are just not meant to be.

---

He ended up curled up in his living room couch, watching reruns of Sunghoon interview from an entertainment site.

“So we heard that you will be partnered with Jang Wonyoung for your upcoming drama?” while looking at a very pretty girl in the screen behind them. “I guess the two of you will make a perfect match.” The MC says while looking at Sunghoon teasingly.

Sunghoon just laughs politely as a response. “Yes she is a very nice person even though we've only met for the first time during script screening.”

From there onwards, Sunoo couldn’t make sense of any of the words they exchanged.

His head suddenly feels too full and too empty at the same time.

He knows that something like this is bound to happen sooner or later, but it still didn’t make the pain any easier to deal with.

Tears just rolling down his cheeks like a broken dam, not giving him any chance to stop it at all. But in the end, he just let the sobs wrecked up his entire body. Nobody is there to witness after all, so there's really no point in holding his tears back.

There are times, when the cheerful Sunoo finally lets his guard down, and allows all of his insecurities and worries to flood his mind.

And tonight is one of those nights it seems.

‘Gosh why does love hurts so much,’ he chants in his mind for a million times like a broken record.

In the middle of his breakdown he faintly hears the sound of someone ringing his doorbell.

He tries to ignore it at first, thinking that maybe it's just his imagination. But after some time the sound just keeps on coming.  When he tries to clear his head, the sound does come from the direction of his front door.

He glances at the clock on the wall with a frown. It reads 10.16 pm. ‘Wonder who that might be? Who will come at this hour? Probably just Jungwon,’ he thoughts, head still hurting from too much crying.

At first he didn’t want to open the door, since he’s sure he’d look like a mess after crying his eyes out like that.

He cringes a little at the thought.

Another ringing sound finally snaps him out of his daydream, so on the end he decides to just let Jungwon in and do whatever he wants while Sunoo continues moping in his room.

To hell with my appearance, it’s just Jungwon anyway,’ he thoughts while stumbling to the front door.

And maybe he’s being too careless tonight, but who can he blame really, his wandering mind that couldn't seem to focus perhaps? Because he didn’t even try to check who’s coming from the peephole.

He rubs his left eye while opening the front door. “What do you want Won? I’m okay, you don’t need to worry about me,” he says with a hoarse voice, not really focusing on the person at the other side of the door.

Remember, life has very absurd ways to set things into motion.

Because turns out it’s not Jungwon who’s currently standing in front of him.

It’s Park fucking Sunghoon.

Or maybe it’s just my imagination,’ with that thought in mind Sunoo then proceeded to close the door again when a foot stepped in suddenly, successfully stopping his door from being closed.

Wow what a nice shoe,’ his stupid brain supplies helpfully.

Very, very slowly, he raises his head, until his eyes meet with a pair of black ripped jeans, slim waist and broad shoulders covered with black hoodie, and finally to a face that belongs to none other than Park Sunghoon, with a black cap on top of his head, hiding his silver hair from sight.

“But I just saw you in TV,” he blurts out.

Because really, what else can he say in a situation like this?

"It's a reruns?" the-guy-who-looks-suspiciously-like-Sunghoon offers kindly as an answer.

Okay Sunoo is sure that he has officially lost his mind.

“So maybe I really am dreaming, or you’re just another one of my unrealistic imagination. But sorry to say, you’re not needed at the moment so bye,” he finally replies after gaining his consciousness back, while trying (once again) to close the door. But to his dismay the foot is still stubbornly planted on the same spot, preventing him from closing the door, again.

“You have imagination about me?” God why does (imaginary) Sunghoon has such a nice voice like this it sure makes Sunoo’s legs go woobly. His voice sounds so soothing and very deep, but has a little rasp in it. It sounds the same but at the same time different from Sunghoon’s voice in high school.

He also smells really good.

“Wait, why does your voice sounds different from my usual imagination? And why can I smell you?” while looking at (imaginary) Sunghoon again, who's just looking back at him curiously, with a hint of amusement plastered on his handsome face. ‘And usually he would be smiling and all, so why does his expression looks different this time?’

And then if finally dawned on him.

Oh Sunoo, you poor thing.

“YOU’RE REAL?!” Sunoo is practically screaming at the figure in front of him, but not like he cares anyway.

He tries once again to close the door because he sure will be damned to meet Sunghoon now in his current state. But tonight seems to be one of his Sunoo's unlucky days, also damn Sunghoon and his long legs, because in no time the tall guy has successfully slipped inside Sunoo’s apartment.

Sunoo just stand there and stare dumbly at him, with mouth hanging open. He’s sure he looks really stupid right now but it’s not like he cares to give a damn because you see PARK SUNGHOON IS STANDING IN HIS LIVING ROOM NOW.

Sunoo is not sure whether to faint or getting hysterical over this very real problem in front of his eyes.

“Whatever. You’re just my imagination. Do whatever you want, I don’t care,” he says while stumbling backward, intent on just go to sleep and ignores the (imaginary) person who rudely barges into his apartment, when a hand caught his wrist, successfully stops him on his track.

“Sunoo-ya, you’re not imagining things. It’s really me, Sunghoon. Did you already forgot about me?” the person asks with a hint of sadness in his voice.

Sunoo can't help but feel his heart clench tightly in his chest at that.

He practically thinks about him 24/7, so how can he forgets about him?

He snaps out from his thoughts when he hears a chuckle from Sunghoon who’s trying to stifle his laugh with the back of his hand.

”You do realize that you’re thinking out loud, right, Sunoo-ya?”

And Sunoo just stares blankly at him. His mind is full of so many thoughts that's running wildly inside his head but one thought is standing out more than the others.

‘His laugh sounds so beautiful.’

It’s the sound he misses the most.

And suddenly, Sunoo starts sobbing again after the thought hits him, which of course caught Sunghoon’s off guard.

He hurriedly takes Sunoo into his arms and hugs him tightly, trying to calm him down, despite not knowing what triggered Sunoo's outburst. He just stands there silently, letting Sunoo weeps in the safety of his embrace while rubbing his back soothingly with one hand and patting his head gently with the other.

If anything, it just makes Sunoo cries harder on his shoulder.

After some time, Sunoo finally starts to calm down, but Sunghoon’s seems reluctant to let go, so they just stand there in silence for a few minutes.

When he's sure he won’t faint, Sunoo finally starts to step out from Sunghoon’s embrace, trying to make some space between them.

He shudders unconsciously, finally registering how cold the living room is without Sunghoon's warmth near him.

God, it's just a few seconds but it already feels as if he's ready to run back to Sunghoon's arms immediately.

The older lets him go, but keeps his hands on both of Sunoo’s wrists, preventing him from going further than a couple step from him, so they’re practically still in each other personal space. Sunoo just keeps his eyes fixed on their hands and refuses to look up at Sunghoon.

Another few minutes pass again after that.

When there’s no sign that Sunoo will look at him soon, Sunghoon just sighs and lift Sunoo’s chin softly. There’s still remnants of fresh tears on both of his chubby cheeks, and it really pained Sunghoon to see those beautiful eyes filled with the clear liquids. And he knows there's no one to blame but himself for that.

It feels as if there's an invisible hand squeezing his heart really hard at the moment.

He starts to wipe the wetness with his thumb softly, but that gesture seems to bring out another fresh set of tears from Sunoo’s eyes. “Shh it’s okay Noo, I’m here,” he whispers, now paired with soft lips that tries to catch the fallen drops.

Sunoo bites his trembling lip so hard to the point of bleeding to try to stop his tears from falling, and Sunghoon is almost sure that Sunoo will be the death of him. He looks so small and fragile that makes Sunghoon want to embrace him forever and never let go, and to protects him from all the bad things in the world.

How he wished he can turn back time and never leave Sunoo.

But things happened, whether he likes it or not, and he's here to try and fix everything.

And he'll be damned if he couldn't get Sunoo back to his side before the day ends.

At least that's what he hopes for.

Because really, he knows himself that he don't deserve Sunoo's forgiveness.

And if he has to beg tonight in order for Sunoo to forgive him, he sure will be on his knees at the speed of light.

But before he can say anything Sunoo already beats him to it.

“Why are you here?”

His voice sounds cold, distant, and so foreign to his ears. Sunghoon almost shudders from how cold it sounds. He don't remember ever heard Sunoo using that kind of tone tp him before.

The younger has his guard up and he perfectly understands that, but it still didn’t ease the pain that the sound bring along to his heart.

“To meet you,” he answers simply.

“But why? And for what? We haven’t talk in ages Sunghoon.”

Sunghoon’s heart constrict painfully in his chest. The name also sounds foreign to his ears. He wants to hear Sunoo call him 'Hoon' or 'Hoonie' like before, when everything is still okay and when it’s as if the world belongs to them only.

Sunghoon takes a deep breath before answering. “Because I miss you so much and I don’t think I can continue being without you for much longer,” he says earnestly while tightening his grip on Sunoo’s wrists.

Sunoo still looks impassive.

“But you’re okay without me all these years Sunghoon, you don’t need me, so why now?” he says while looking straight at his eyes, with eyes that reflect his belief that Sunghoon didn’t need him at all, resulted from many nights of telling himself the exact same thing over and over again.

Which is not true. And Sunghoon is here to prove that.

Sunghoon is here to assure him that it's nothing like his mind has telling him all this time.

“Sunoo-ya, please listen to me first. I was... scared of meeting you before my debut. I know it will sound just like an excuse, but it’s not as easy as I initially thought. Everything is so unsure in this kind of world. I didn’t even know whether I can debut or not. And I’m really scared to meet you, because I don’t want to disappoint you. So I made a vow to myself that I will try my utmost hard to debut and will hold myself back from meeting you before I made sure that I can be someone who are worthy for you." He shakily takes a deep breath before continuing. "Heck, it was so hard for me, holding myself back from running straight to your apartment when I heard the news of you moving to Seoul. But I was too ashamed of myself. I’m still no one with uncertain future at that time,” he smiles bitterly at this.

“But then even after debut, my agency just keep finding excuses to stop me from meeting you. And they had me promised that after one year, if everything goes well, they will allow me to do whatever I want. So here I am,” he ends with a small grin while rubbing the back of his head, a gesture so familiar, as if to reminds Sunoo that the man in front of him is still the same Sunghoon he knows, his best friend whom he had loved and still love for more than six years now.

“But that’s not the only reason why I’m here. I also made a vow to myself that I will not confess until I become a suitable man for you,” he adds with a soft smile and eyes so full of love it actually took Sunoo’s breath away.

Did he heard him right?

“W-what do you mean?”

“I like you, Sunoo-ya. I like you, a lot. I like you since our first meeting, since the day you approached the lanky boy who's always alone, who has no friends back then. I’ve liked you from the very beginning; you and your pretty smile that always brighten my days. My feeling for you just keeps on growing everyday. I like you yesterday, I like you today, and I’m sure I will like you even more tomorrow.”

Sunoo feels chocked up. Is this really happening? Can it be that he's still dreaming? Because there’s just no way Sunghoon says all of those things right?

It's just feel too good for it not to be a dream.

But the trembling hands that feels hot on his wrists and the worried smile on Sunghoon’s face looks too real to be a dream.

Before his brain can proceess any further thoughts Sunghoon then adds in a determined voice, “I’m really really sorry for making you wait this long, but even if you didn’t harbor the same feeling for me, please know that I will not give up just because you reject me tonight. I’ve waited for so long already, so there’s no way I will back out easily. Please prepare yourself for-,” and before he can finish his sentence he is stopped by a small hand that grabs his collar and pulls him forcefully down. He's met with a pair of eyes that shines so bright he can actually feels himself getting burned from inside out.

And he really like the feeling.

But then he feels pain on his chest.

Sunoo is currently hitting him repeatedly.

Damn, this guy might be small, but his punches sure hurt as hell.

“You stupid! Don’t say those things. You deserve someone better. You should be with someone who’s a match for you. Someone who is not me, because I’m not good enough for you Hoon. I will never be good enough for you,” Sunoo adds weakly while gripping his hoodie tightly, as if afraid if he lets go Sunghoon might just disappear from his sight in one blink.

Sunghoon’s eyes harden at this.

“Sunoo, no, please just listen. I don’t need someone better, and I don’t want someone better. You’re all I need. I only want you, Sunoo-ya, please believe me, will you?” he says while cupping Sunoo’s face in his hands, looking so sure Sunoo actually finds himself trembling from the force of his intense gaze.

He wants to believe him, he really, really do.

But will they be okay after this?

“Please believe me Noo,” Sunghoon adds, voice heavy with sadness it grips at Sunoo's heart painfully.

And who was Sunoo kidding? Sunghoon is his ultimate weakness, don't you remember? And he really, really hates seeing him sad like that.

If Sunghoon says he is the one who can make him happy, then what else is he waiting for? This is what he’s dreamed for right?

He's allowed to have his happy ending right?

Right.

He takes a deep breath before answering.

It's now or never.

But if what Sunghoon says is true, even if it's not now, Sunoo thinks he will come again tomorrow.

He will come and try again and again until Sunoo finally says yes.

But once again, who was Sunoo kidding anyway?

Sunghoon is and will always be his ultimate weakness after all.

“Okay...” he finally says while allowing a small smile to appear on his pretty face.

And in that exact moment he knows he had made the right decision. If the smile that instantly blooms on Sunghoon’s face is not enough proof for that, he doesn’t know what else does he needs to assure his stupid brain to believe that Sunghoon loves him.

Holy shit, Sunghoon really do love him, doesn't he?

Sunghoon immediately pulls him into a bone-crushing hug and lifts him off the ground, just like those old days that seemed so far away but also so close to their reality now. He lifts him up and spin him around while laughing happily and kissing his face continuously. On his forehead, on his cheeks, on his nose, on his lips. Every part of his face that he can reach.

After some time, and with a satisfied grin plastered on his handsome face, he finally put Sunoo back on the ground. Talking about deja vu. But this time around, he didn’t let him go immediately. He keeps Sunoo in his warm embrace while circling his arms around Sunoo’s lithe waist.

“So does this means you’ll be my boyfriend?” he asks with the widest smile Sunoo has ever seen on his face.

“Boyfriend of an idol? That sounds hella troublesome, but if you insist I might consider the offer,” Sunoo answers with a playful glint in his fox eyes.

Sunghoon just looks at him and then kisses him square on the lips. He kisses him hard until Sunoo feels lightheaded and out of breath.

“You stole my first kiss, and my heart too, so here’s the kiss to seal the deal. You can’t back up now. You have to take responsibility,” the older declares confidently.

Sunoo couldn’t help but laughs loudly at his antics.

What a way to step up the status from childhood friends to lovers.

“But I also gave you my first kiss and my heart, so we’re even in this. You have to take responsibility too.”

Sunghoon's smile only grows wider, making his eyes disappear into half moons.

And Sunoo thinks, Sunghoon looks the most beautiful smiling like that.

“It’s a deal then.”
