Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

Sun stared anxiously at the clock above them. It would soon be midnight, which meant that it was time for their other side to come out. Just a month ago, Sunrise didn’t mind this; even tho they liked being in charge of the body they shared. However, after some *incidents* in the PizzaPlex Sun would prefer if the lights didn’t go out at all. It’s not that they disliked the other.. They just thought that it would be better for everyone if they were the one who was always out.

The clock striked midnight, which meant Sun would go through a painful changing process. After some loud screams Sun was gone and a animatronic with red glowing eyes took their place. They were almost the complete opposite of Sun, they wore a blue cape, a jester-like blue pants with stars on it, and a funny looking hat which also had a star pattern with a bell at the end.

Moon looked around to see where exactly they were. They didn’t used to have this problem before the incidents, but now Sun refused to share their vision with Moon. After observing their surroundings to understand where they were, Moon took a step outside the daycare to begin their nightly patrol.

Moon’s patrol consisted of 5 areas. They were supposed to check Monty Golf, Roxy Raceway, The Main Stage, The West Arcade and Bonnie Bowl. Originally they weren’t supposed to go to Bonnie Bowl, but after some employees reported sightings of a person wearing a bunny suit they decided to add Bonnie Bowl to the route.

Usually Moon’s patrol ended early, so they could always have some time for themselves. They would use this time to clean up the daycare to make things easier for Sun, but today they had different ideas in mind. After finishing their patrol, they sent a report to the Security Team saying nothing was unusual today. (Fazbear Entertainment did not actually have this team but had to assemble one after some pretty serious accusations of kids going missing in the PizzaPlex.)

Instead of returning to the daycare like they usually would, Moon headed towards Bonnie Bowl. Before Bonnie was disassembled Moon and it were actually quite close. Moon would hang out with Bonnie, listening to it ramble about whatever happened at the stage, or how it was so *sure* that it can chug a pizza faster than Chica but they just refuse to “make a scene and turn the spotlight to it”. Moon felt like someone was actually enjoying spending time with them, or tolerating their rather unsettling appearance at least. They still to this day are unsure why Bonnie got disassembled, but they didn’t think they wanted to know.

On one of their visits, Bonnie said it wanted them to lift it up so it can show Moon something. Moon thought the request was odd, but who were they to question Bonnie? After almost half a hour of Bonnie guiding Moon to take it somewhere, they managed to get to some sort of abandoned room on the top of Bonnie Bowl. Bonnie told Moon that this was actually supposed to be a area where kids could watch the sky, but the idea was scrapped halfway. Nobody really bothered to fix or clean the room since it was almost unaccessible unless you had some superpower. Which Moon had.

Ever since that day, Moon would take Bonnie up to that room when they came to visit, and they would listen to them chat while both of the sort of cleaned the room. It was enjoyable, but most moments with Bonnie were enjoyable for Moon. They often thought about what they did to deserve someone like it. They were constantly scared of Bonnie suddenly wanting to cut ties with them, but they tried to push these thoughts to the back of their faceplate.

Moon entered through the door of Bonnie Bowl. They did not want to waste time looking around, even tho a small part of them wanted to just sit there. They floated up to the room where it and Moon entered many times before. The room wasn’t as clean as it used to be, the windows looked dirtier and some hand drawn pictures on the walls had fallen. Moon couldn’t take care of the room for the past month, so they expected that it would look like a small mess. They did a quick work of cleaning the windows and weeping the floors. They had time so they didn’t want to waste it on some cleaning business. After quickly tidying around, they sat on the floor and stared at the real moon and stars above.

They felt memories flooding their mind, which caused a uncomfortable feeling of missing somebody who was already long gone.
