I know this may come as a surprise to you and you might not ever believe a word you read in this letter but I assure you I’m telling the truth and nothing else. Recovery has been hard on my mind and body and I’m afraid I may never be able to hold my sword with the same determination. My vision and everything I’ve come to own are all gone. I’m a blank slate with hazy memories but through all the haze you are the only one who seems clear. I remember your voice, listening to your poetic nonsense while I told you of my aspirations. Your hair, your pale skin, your soft and everlasting expressions of content. For the first time since I’ve woken up, I’ve missed something, and that something is you. This letter might not even get to you and I’m afraid out of everything I won’t. I will dedicate my life to finding you old friend, for as long as I breathe this air.
