Hinata woke to another early morning ready to go to school and start training. He couldn’t wait to see Kageyama today because today he had enough courage to ask him why he was avoiding him. Kageyama on the other hand was not excited to see that short red head, he has had enough with him mucking around at training and ‘annoying’ him, but he had to deal with yet another day of him.
Hinata arrived at the gym five minutes earlier than usual so that he wouldn’t be yelled at by Daichi, “huh? Tanaka should be here at least, he is usually the person who unlocks the gym when he says to come early?”
Hinata notices Kageyama walking towards him as he slowly lifts his head Kageyama sighs and ignores Hinata’s greetings as he sprints towards him “oh no here we go again” Kageyama sighs and waits to be annoyed by the short red head.
“Hey Kageyama, I wanted to know why you have been trying to avoid me these past few training sessions, do you hate me or something?” Hinata leans closer to Kageyama, while the tall black-haired boy hides a small blush be hide his thick black jumper.
“I don’t hate you Hinata-boke” Kageyama mumbles, Hinata smiles “okay, at least you don’t hate me but...” he pauses “I am curious so, can you tell me” Hinata says as he pulls Kageyama’s arm away from his face gently. “w-what I can’t t-tell you” the tall black-haired boy mumbles,
“Why not!?” Hinata shouts a bit too loud for Tanaka around the corner to hear,
“Oi, what’s going on, huh!” he shouts, the two younger teen boys swift around to see Tanaka glaring at them.
“its freaking 5:00 in the morning do you guys have to get any louder than you already are”
“N-no we’ll be quiet, sorry” they both bow and walk to the gym doors as Tanaka unlocks them and turns the lights on. While Kageyama is putting his bag down and gets out his water bottle, Hinata is wondering why he wouldn’t answer, because surely if it wasn’t that serious than he wouldn’t make a big thing about it and try to avoid the question.
