Work Text:
As the world’s most wanted villain, Alex wasn’t that much of a deep sleeper. So you can imagine how quickly he woke up when hearing banging coming from the kitchen.
In a quick panic, he jumped out of bed and ran into the kitchen.
Only to see his roommate, Morgan, putting away a pot that had dropped.
Morgan turned around, and only then did he notice Alex.
“Oh, hello! Sorry if I woke you up. Dropped a pot.” Morgan took a sip from his mug and motioned next to him. “Want some?”
Alex took a few breaths and regained his posture.
“...What are you even drinking?”
“Oh, nothing. Just a cup. Of a liquid.” Morgan took another casual sip. Alex stared at Morgan.
“...It’s 3 in the morning, Morgan, I swear to the god if that is coffee-”
“It’s not coffee,” Morgan replied.
“Oh thank g-”
“It’s a monster energy drink.”
“Morgan!” Alex raised his voice in alarm.
“What?”
“It’s 3 am! This is the 6th time this month that I’ve seen you do this.”
“You asked me if I had coffee, not caffeine.”
“I swear, it’s like caffeine runs in your veins instead of blood at this point.” Alex sighed and walked over to Morgan.
“Maybe it does, you never know.”
“Give me that-” Alex took the cup from Morgan’s hands.
“Hey! Give that back!” Morgan pouted and tried to grab it back. In response, Alex, the taller one, simply extended his arm straight up. Morgan pouted, and Alex frowned in response.
“No, go to sleep,” Alex responded.
“Never!” Morgan hissed and tried to climb on top of Alex to get his cup back.
“..Did you just hiss at me?” Alex mumbled, bewildered. Morgan hissed at Alex again. So, Alex did what any responsible person would do if someone hissed at them.
He pushed Morgan off of him and levitated the mug higher than any one of them could reach without magic or a very tall stool. (Which, they did have. Morgan called it his ‘Temporary Growth Machine.)
Morgan fell to the ground with a soft ‘oof’. Alex looked smugly down at him.
“Give up yet?” Alex smirked.
Morgan grumbled quietly, not getting off the floor.
“I just want my cup back!” Morgan replied, doing grabby hands at the floating mug.
“Morgan, I swear to god, go to sleep or I will pour this mug on you,” Alex threatened.
Morgan quickly got up from his spot on the floor, mumbling a ‘goodbye’ and running off to his room.
Alex stood there for a second, before chuckling to himself, dumping the mug out in the sink and leaving it there.
