The man sat down on the creaky plastic chairs with a huff. The smell of piss was instantly there and he crinkled up his nose in annoyance, God how he hates airports.
George wasn't having a good experience with this one either, his flight had been delayed by several hours and it was too long of a journey to head home, so he was forced to sit in the airport and it's piss smell until the flight.
The worse part was that his phone had limited data due to the fact he had forgotten to pay it this month, leaving him with limited interests on what he could do on his phone.
After scrolling through the limited games on his phone he finally decided on a classic, Minecraft. He hadn't played it since he was a kid and assumed it was only on his phone from when his baby cousins had stolen it while he was visiting.
His brown hair fell in front of his eyes and he brushed it away with a frown that was quickly diminished by the familiar music as it blasted in his airpods, he watched as the same starting menu he knew from all those years ago popped up on the screen.
After loading up a new world he began collecting wood and finally crafting his first wooden tools in years. A small smile appeared on his face, he still had it, he was still amazing at this.
"You took forever doing that!" a voice next to him scoffed. George jumped and took out one of his airpods, "can I.. Help you?" he asked the man with a frown.
He had dirty-blonde, fluffy hair that bounced on his head as he spoke and bright green eyes that studied him him closely. "I said you took forever doing that, you only got wooden tools? It's been like ten minutes!"
The brown haired man's eyes blink at the blonde confused. "I- well excuse me! Maybe some of us don't spend all of our time playing a children's game on our phone!" with that he turns back to his phone and begins to play again, purposely slow just for the boy next to him.
The person didn't respond to his outburst and instead just continued to watch the brunette. "I'm Clay by the way." he said after a few moments. George rolled his eyes and continued to play, ignoring him.
'Clay' however, didn't get the hint. "I'm here to meet my boyfriend... For the first time." The man's heart hurt for a second and he instantly began to wonder why.
"Congrats." he said finally. Clay just hummed in response, a huge grin on his face. "I'm so excited.. I've never actually met him irl before." George resisted the urge to scoff, "did you just say i-r-l?!"
Clay hums, seemingly ignoring the older man. "Honestly.. Just not surprised." the brunette mutters. Clay just chuckles in response, "anyways back to my boyfriend-" George resisted a groan, this was going to be a long few hours.
It was in fact, a long few hours, and he learnt a lot more about Clay than he expected. The blonde was oddly good at one sided conversation, which was 90% of the conversation.
The brown haired boy learnt that Clay and his boyfriend had known each other since they were kids online, and had recently confessed feelings for each other, (George had laughed at that and commented that 'people always said you should marry your best friend', to which Clay responded with an in depth rant about how he couldn't wait to marry 'supposed boyfriend' who's name, George had learnt, was Nick.)
He had also learnt that Clay had arrived to the airport at least an hour before his boyfriends plane took off, purely because of his excitement.
Throughout his very, very, very long monologue however George had been continuing on his mini Minecraft world, and had already managed to gain a diamond pickaxe plus full iron armour and tools. (To which Clay had said he was still too slow, and George had to resist the urge to punch him.)
It was only when it was an hour and 24 minutes into their "conversation" that Clay stood up promptly. "UH OH!" he yelled. George jumped, startled, causing him to be killed by the spider he was currently fighting.
He groaned in annoyance and looked up at the now frantic Clay annoyed. "What?" he snapped. Clay ignored the tone and continued to fumble with his own phone until he brought it out and phoned someone.
"I forgot about S-Nick! His plane landed around 7 minutes ago- Heeeeyy Babe!" he speaks into his phone. George heard a faint yelling through the speaker and slumped back into his chair as he realises it wasn't as drastic as he expected. He respawned and began to make his way back to where he died.
"I know.. I know Sap I'm sorry, where are you?" Clay spoke into his phone, looking like he was about to cry. "What? But you don't know where i-" he cuts himself off as he realises Sapnap hung up on him.
"He said he's going to come to me.." Clay frowned, "but he doesn't know where I am?" George, barely listening since he was fighting the spider again, just hummed in response, knowing that Clay would take it as an opportunity to continue to talk.
"How could he-" he's cut off again as he's suddenly crashed into by a young man screaming 'Clay!'. George, who got scared by the sudden yelling, died to the spider once again and sighed in defeat, "the invincible.. I shall name you.. Shroud.." he whispers to his phone.
He drags his eyes up to watch the happy couple as they hug then kiss then hug then kiss then scream then hug then kiss and.. Well you get the point. People around them began to awe and George swears he heard the sound of a camera shutter.
He just sighed in annoyance and grabs his bag as he noticed his plane was finally ready. Figuring Clay was too busy to say goodbye right now, he votes for just walking away, which was quickly foiled by a yell and then a crash.
He turns around and sees Clay on the ground from where he had tried to escape supposed 'Nick's' grasp. "Man!" Clay pants in exhaustion from all the screaming before standing up straight and hugging George. "Wha-" the brunette stutters and tenses up.
'Uh uh.. Physical affection? Shit what do you do in this situation..' Georges mind grows frantic until the taller finally releases him.
"Okay! Goodbye.. " Clay trails off when he realises he never found out his name, but before he could ask, George was mumbling a quick 'goodbye' and walking away.
The blonde watched his retreating figure for a few moments before shrugging it off and galloping back to his love.
Goodbye mystery man..
