You are Y/n and are 17, you live with your Mama, your Papa, two younger siblings Quinn and girl who is 6 and Issac a boy who is 11 and your family cat who's name is Beans.
Y/n pov:
It's 6:30 pm after dinner and you are lounging on your bed as you scroll through your phone looking at memes on Reddit and Instagram.
You hear the little pitter patter of foot steps approaching your room. You stop scrolling to click your phone off and see your doorknob twist to reveal a little girl in her glow in the dark spaceman PJ's open your door, standing on her tippy toes she flicks your light switch on and off again to get your attention, giggling in the process.
You smile at her and ask,
" What's up buttercup?"
The kid walks into your room a few steps and shows you her long black hair done up in pigtail plaits.
"Look what Mama did!" she said happily. "Also Mama wants to watch a movie and Zaccy wants to watch the movie called Encanto, you know the one that was in the cinemas last week."
You nod,
"Mhmm, sounds like a good movie Quinny. What's it about?" you ask her as you shuffle off your bed to meet her at the doorway.
"Well this family have superpowers but one girl doesn't get them which is sad." she says as you are both walking down the hallway to the lounge. She continues to tell you the plot of the movie and finishes the quickly as you both join the family them sitting bunched up on the 3 seater couch and you sit on the 1 seater, head one side and feet dangling off the other end.
You Papa leaves to get the bags of popcorn that have just finished popping and walks bag the living room. He chucks you one bag and keeps the other two for him and the others. Issac hits play on the movie.
When Mirabel starts singing about her family's gifts you little sister hums along to the song and starts wiggling around on the couch as if she's dancing. Your brother gets annoyed at this and elbows her. After your Mama and Papa settle the dispute you continue to watch the movie and you sister doesn't 'dance' for the next part.
Then next song 'Surface Pressure' hits a little to close to home because you are the oldest but your brother and sister are happy just watching the animation and Quinn giggles when she sees donkey unicorns and your brother is also giggling but at the dancing donkeys.
A little over halfway through the movie you sister complains about running out of popcorn so like the good sister you are you throw a piece of popcorn from your bag at her, smirking and your brother snorts.
You finnish the movie along with your snacks and help get the kids to bed. You read Issac and Quinn a bed time story, acting out the scenes and putting on different voices for each of the characters.
You make your way to your room and flop onto your bed beside Beans. You climb under your cover and go back to scrolling on your phone. An add pops up about this Encanto game where you get to design your own character and what gift you have. It looked not to shabby so you download it and start to make your character.
In the game you have tan skin and green eyes with wavy hair that reached the bottom of your shoulder blades. Your character is wearing a light orange top with a light pink skirt with a white ribbon around the waist with white white flat's (shoes). You tried to make you character look as much like you as possible apart from the fact that you don't wear dresses. You then move on to choosing your superpower or 'gift' as they call it. You swipe from option to option trying to find one you liked but so far you just couldn't see one that clicked. You swipe again and see one that catches your eye, so you click on it and the text reads ' 💀Speak to/ summon the dead.💀 ' you hit the button selecting this as your gift and tap the start button to lad your character into the game.
Your screen freezes on the loading page and a message more like a warning reading are you sure you wish to join the world of' Encanto'. Obviously without a second thought you click the accept button and everything turns black. Your body starts to hurt and you see bright colours dancing all around you as you float in this colourful, blinding abis. You feel you body being dragged down and suddenly your falling from the sky.
