Chapter Text
Taehyung lit up the cigarette with shaking hands. He brought it to his lips and breathed in. The smoke did not get into his lungs. It stayed stagnant in his mouth. He exhaled gagging on the bitter taste. He scrunched his nose eyeing the burning tip of the cigarette. The orange color was appealing but everything in it was repulsive. He wondered how so many students took to smoking and even bragged about it.
“You shouldn’t be smoking, kiddo,” a hand appeared behind Taehyung and took away the cigarette. Taehyung recognized instantly the daring tattooed hand. He blushed looking stubbornly at his feet. Jeon Jungkook, his math teacher, sat next to him on the bench. “It is bad for your health, Taehyung,” Jungkook added before taking a long drag from the cigarette. His eyes closed for a fleeting moment to enjoy his smoke. His lips parted as he exhaled deeply. Taehyung’s blushed deepened as he stared at the teacher’s profile. Jungkook was the newest and youngest recruit of the school. Most students, any gender alike, had a crush on him. Taehyung was sadly among the lot. Jungkook was nothing like the other teachers. His appearance contrasted deeply with the other adults. Jungkook defied the dressed code. He was all black, leather jacket, tattoos, and piercings. His bike waited patiently for him in the parking lot among the teacher’s cars.
“But you are allowed to smoke?” Taehyung retorted with flaming cheeks. His hands tightened over the fabric of his pants. His heart hammered in his chest. Jungkook smirked glancing at him. He took another drag before stubbing out the cig.
“Perks of being an adult,” Jungkook offered him a toothy smile. Taehyung quickly averted his gaze. Shyness overcame him. “What are you doing here, Taehyung? It is not like you to smoke and do naughty things,” Jungkook said staring at his student.
Taehyung cleared his throat. It felt sinful the way Jungkook always said his name. It drawled and embraced his tongue. Jungkook always referred to his students by family name, except for Taehyung. Therefore, Taehyung felt special. His friends insisted that Jungkook did that because Taehyung was the first ranked student in school. Taehyung liked to fantasize otherwise. Naughty things. The words were engraved in his mind now.
“You don’t have to act like you care, Mister Jeon,” Taehyung answered instead. Many teachers asked how he was doing without meaning it. He was their best student. When they asked about him, they were more worried about his grades than himself.
“Who said I don’t?” Jungkook arched a brow. Taehyung stole a glance. He was met with crimson eyes. His breath hitched. Jungkook was an alpha. It was no secret. His scent was strong and smothering at times. They always kept a window open during class, even during winter. Jungkook was off scent suppressants. It was obvious. No one minded. He was the epitome of scrumptious alpha. The teacher staff, the students, everyone fawned over the alpha.
“I just wanted to try it,” Taehyung blurted. He decided to share. He did not care if Jungkook was teasing or genuinely concerned. He wanted to vent. “My high school life is boring. Everyone seems to have fun except me. They all have wild stories expect me,” he sighed looking at his hands. “My friends already had their first kiss, their first boyfriends, or even their first…time,” he emphasized on the last word as he looked at Jungkook. The alpha only nodded listening patiently. “But, me…I only study and I am boring,” he groaned. “I am so effing boring. I just wanted to do something wild before the year is over and I go to college.”
Jungkook suppressed a laugh. He found it innocent that wild meant smoking for Taehyung. Wild meant dangerous and reckless for him instead. “Smoking isn’t the answer,” he said simply. Taehyung groaned hiding behind his hands. He felt ashamed to have been caught, to have done such thing and on school grounds. “And don’t worry about being wild or high school. You will have plenty of occasions in college to be young and reckless, although I must admit that it is all overrated. A peaceful night at home or simply reading a good book is fun enough. But, I understand your situation.”
“I want wild,” Taehyung said with conviction. “I don’t want to be boring and die a virgin,” he said boldly. His cheeks reddened. “I don’t want to finish high school and be labeled as the forever good boy,” he leant back on the bench staring at the sky.
“Good boys are…well, for lack of better words, good,” Jungkook chuckled. He grabbed the pack of cigarettes from Taehyung’s backpack. He couldn’t let a student walk around with those. He lit up another. It had been a while since he stopped smoking but today it felt too tempting.
“Smoking is bad for your health,” Taehyung parroted his teacher’s earlier words. Jungkook seemed amused more than anything else. It felt good to let out his worries. He did not expect his confident to be no other than his inaccessible crush.
“I know,” Jungkook laughed softly as he blew smoke in Taehyung’s direction. The omega coughed slightly and tried to fan away the smoke with his hand. “You want wild, you said,” Jungkook stated catching Taehyung’s attention. The omega nodded looking quite serious for such a ridiculous and trivial matter. “I can give you wild. Do you want that, Kiddo?” he asked with a smirk. He licked his lips. Taehyung’s eyes stared at the silver loop in the corner of the plump mouth.
“Call me Taehyung or omega,” Taehyung said in a whisper. No alpha, outside of some sort of relationship, called an omega “omega”. Teacher and student relationship was not included. “And yes, I want it. I want wild with you,” he added with a small voice. He did not have time to wonder what trap he stepped into. His heart beat fast and furiously. It echoed ‘til his throat.
“Come here, omega,” Jungkook whispered with a hint of alpha timbre in his tone. Taehyung whimpered and scooted closer on the bench. “Be a good boy and open your mouth,” Jungkook added grabbing gently Taehyung’s chin. His thumb brushed over the eager lips. “Do you know what a shotgun kiss is, omega?” he asked. Taehyung’s eyes glazed over. He nodded. He read enough erotic novels to know what the term was. “Good boy,” Jungkook chuckled before taking a drag. The words in his mouth felt like a praise that Taehyung felt addicted to. “Breath in,” Jungkook instructed before leaning towards Taehyung. His lips were an inch away. Taehyung whimpered. His eyes fluttered shut. He breathed in. His lungs felt on fire. The bitter taste settled on his tongue once more. He couldn’t hold it in. He pulled away coughing slightly. Jungkook pulled away completely taking another puff. He blew it towards the sky.
“I don’t think that I like smoking,” Taehyung said awkwardly. His heart felt like ripping from ribcage. His ears turned pink.
“I stopped years ago,” Jungkook admitted with a grin. “I hope that I won’t catch you smoking again. Good boys don’t smoke,” he teased standing up to leave. Taehyung watched him fervently. He did not have time to properly process what happened. His mind was still fuzzy. A pleasant warmth nestled in his chest. “If by the time you are eighteen you are still a virgin, I will gladly take that burden off you,” Jungkook added nonchalantly before walking away.
It took a moment for the statement to register in Taehyung’s hazy mind. He would turn eighteen by the end of the year. He would be in college. His eyes widened at the thought. Jungkook walked away and disappeared into the building. It dawned on Taehyung that maybe, just maybe, Jungkook gave it a thought prior to their conversation. Maybe, just maybe, Jungkook was interested in him and Taehyung did not imagine it at all.
Taehyung still had to wait eight months to find out. December seemed out of reach all of the sudden.
