Work Text:
Yixing heavily sighs as he hears someone rapidly ringing his doorbell. He absolutely knows who that is.
“You could’ve just rung that once, I’m not deaf, by the way,” Yixing mumbles in a pout as he opens his front door.
“I know. I’m just missing you,” The latter answers as he grins.
Yixing immediately rolled his eyes, “Why are you coming late, then?”
Junmyeon intertwines his lover’s hands, “I had something big to do, baby. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you earlier,” The oldest said as he pecked on Yixing’s knuckles.
“Something big? Was it the 6 billion dollars case that you told me yesterday?”
“Much bigger than that,” Junmyeon sighed a smile, “Okay, so, ready to go?”
Yixing checks on his brand new watch which wraps around his wrist as he grunts, “Been getting myself ready for about 2 hours, I guess.”
“I promise you I’ll make it worth your wait, baby. Don’t worry.”
“You better be.”
After buying some food from the drive-thru, the two of them are now enjoying their night drive, along with the wind breeze and city lights.
The night is their only time to meet, while the night drive is the only way to spend their quality time together.
Nobody knows about their relationship but the nights.
Kim Junmyeon, a prestigious lawyer who has handled a thousand cases—both in litigation and non-litigation—is also the founding father of one of the biggest and the most reputable law firms in South Korea.
By 10 years of experience pursuing his career, Junmyeon’s firm has been trusted to assist some big companies along with some top celebrities, which one of them was Zhang Yixing, his—secret—lover.
Zhang Yixing, a Chinese supermodel who is also a successful actor and a well-known music producer. As his career provenly thrived, he built Lotus Entertainment, his own entertainment agency in China which has developed its branch in South Korea, the promised land of any entertainment industry.
Those two met in the lawyer’s office where Yixing was madly offended since his branch office in South Korea had been accused of fraud by its competitor.
Junmyeon still remembers what the CEO said to him while he kept cutely pouting.
“Please prove them wrong. Show me that you’re a great lawyer as people have talked about.”
“May I ask you something if I succeed?”
“Sure. How much do you want?”
“Not much. I just want you to be mine.”
As they arrived on the empty field nearby the bridge, they both rolled down their car seats.
Junmyeon pressed the sunroof button above him, making it slowly slide down and clearly showing the skies above them.
Here is the final phase of their night date, deep talking while stargazing.
It usually ends up with a deep throat, but not tonight. They just want to talk. Yeah, just talk.
“They’re all beautiful as always,” Yixing mumbles as he points on the sparkling stars above.
“So are you,” Junmyeon chimed in as he glanced at the latter.
The youngest rolled his eyes on him, “And you’re being cheesy as always.”
“I hope you’re not tired of it,” Junmyeon said as he slightly chuckled, making the latter bitterly smiled.
“Ah, guess you’re tired of it.”
Yixing took a deep breath as he closed his eyes, “Honestly, I’m tired… Of us.”
Junmyeon clenched his jaw as his eyebrows went furrowing. Realizing his lover looks in rage, Yixing placed his hand on Junmyeon’s cheek, softly caressing.
“I’m tired of us for being like this,” Yixing shrugs.
“It’s been 3 years and I spent most of the time thinking whether I was the only one who seriously wanted this relationship, who was so happy and excitedly being in love with my boyfriend.”
“I want to hold you in the street, proudly showing to the world that you are mine, and I’m yours. Is that even too much to ask for?”
Junmyeon sighed. As he expected before, this day finally comes.
The oldest rubs his thumb on Yixing’s hand, “People’s recognition is unnecessary. The most important thing is us.”
Yixing brushed off the oldest’s hand as he sarcastically chuckled, “I know that you’re going to say that, Mr. Kim.”
The youngest shifts closer to the window as he secretly wipes his tears while looking at the view beside him.
Junmyeon deeply exhaled before he finally took a red heart-shaped box out of his pocket as he neutralised his heartthrobs.
“Three years is indeed a long time to wait, but it is quite enough to make myself worthy of loving you.”
“Baby, look at me,” No response.
“I’ve promised you that I’ll make it worth your wait, right?” Still no response.
“It’s not just about your 2 hours waiting for me earlier. It’s for the whole 3 years, baby. Please, look at me now,” Junmyeon miserably begs.
Yixing finally gave up. He indeed couldn’t stand his boyfriend’s sad voice. Yixing prefers Junmyeon’s husky and dominant voice inst– Okay, let’s stop it right there.
Yixing turned his head around, looking towards Junmyeon who endearingly smiled at him.
The youngest gasped as he saw something on Junmyeon’s hand.
Something that looks as beautifully shining as the stars above them.
“Are you serious?”
“Look into my eyes and see it yourself.”
Yixing deeply gazed at Junmyeon’s orbs, trying to find any lies which ended up nothing but his own reflection.
Yixing chuckled as he wrapped his arms around Junmyeon’s neck, pressing their foreheads together.
“You haven’t answered,” Junmyeon whispered.
“Because you haven’t asked.”
Junmyeon smiles, “Okay, so, Zhang Yixing, will you spend the rest of your life with me?”
Yixing pecks on Junmyeon’s lips, “Yes, I will, Kim Junmyeon.”
And now let the night skies along with the stars witnessing them kissing—which might be turned into a make out session.
Oh, we better save the diamond ring before it gets– Ah, never mind. It’s already thrown into the backseat, anyway.
