Work Text:

Yeah right, I know you don't miss me.

It's been a day since Kokichi (that will be shortened as Ko for yes reasons) got out of the hospital after the tragic fictive event that spent his entire month.

Was he alone?—Nope. It's not those “Boohoo, I'm so alone no one cares about me, I'm gonna commit "unalive" and leave this cruel world—” ...no. He was well, sort of forgiven, though no one apart from Maki  had a huge grudge against him.

Did he feel sad, depressed? In regret? Half-yes, no, and yes.

Regretting his blind ignorance, for his potential uncertain friend. Ko had a crush on him, it was obvious from the start—not the start start, a couple days after; he developed subconscious feelings for he individual.

Was not ashamed, either. Bringing his name up always made him happy no matter the situation.

"What, I never thought that way! Can you just listen to me for once, Ko?"

It must hurt; to be left alone. Especially by someone you dearly trust even while the whole cast bombarded them with insults. It did, it truly did. And it still does, for Saihara. It awfully took a while for Oma to reply back, as if he hadn't seen the message, which he most definitely did see.

He wasn't happy, for certain-not to the point of hating on his fellow comrade. Saihara wanted to give the boy a second chance, obviously if it weren't a killing game Oma would not have dared to sin so much... Or so? That is but a mere assumption.

Now, Ko was not planning on stopping him from coming; "If you wanna come, just come-not like I'm that desperate.. Though it'd be nice if you were there? So I COULD talk with you," were his exact words, and so he came.

This was not planned, yet Kokichi was prepared, to confess, finally.

There he was, nudging his black scarf subtly, sweating as he spewed out several words, oh-and don't forget the stutter. Luckily it wasn't not inaudible, so his friend would hear.

His words were simply put;

"S- so, uhm, I? Yes, I actually like you. Like... REALLY, like you."

And then, fate shattered to pieces. It was too late to comeback that response, so Ko just kept quiet, anxiously scratching his hand although he had no allergIes.

"Aww, that's so sweet of you, Ko!"

He gave a soft smile, caressing his chin; perhaps to sweeten him. Though it did not, Oma was pissed. Pissed that from all words Shuichi
could possibly say were mocking him, was it all but a joke?
That pissed-like mood, could not, unfortunately be shown... to a concerned level.

"Do you...like me, too?," Kokichi stuttered.
