Work Text:

Alya was floating alone in the universe he was banished to. Lonely, so quiet it hurt to listen… stars would not sparkle and it was never dark enough to feel blind, but it was enough to not see clearly, a constant headache Alya would feel. Sudden flashes of lights, blinding him at the sudden. Wind, no winds, harsh wind. Only snakes to give him company and the occasional visits from..

Another flash, this one with a calm purple tint. Her, she came to visit him yet again. The one who gave him the gift of snakes and peace and…
The only one who still seemed to love him.

He stayed silent.

She stayed silent.

The snakes all perked up, seemingly charmed by her mere existence, a bit of a soft glowing light accompanying Her, a gentle warmth radiating from within the depths of her spirit, her light airy presence in direct contrast with Alya's dark and heavy presence…

Sometimes she'd come in with an entirely different type of energy, an overwhelming sense of disappointment, towering over him with a sharp Trident in her hand. This isn't one of those days.

"Hello, Shri NaN…" Alya muttered, feeling a bit humbled in her presence. She was the only one he had a bit of trust in, yet he feels betrayed at times due to the fact that she was much closer to those who have banished him here. But, his punishment would have been way worse if it wasn't for her… it was much more complex than it sounds..
NaN looked down at him, being called Shri by other gods seemed to irk her, but Alya did not consider himself to be a god at this point. Yet the gaze did seem loving and forgiving. Always loving and forgiving. He might have done horrible things in the past, but at least she forgives him. The betrayal, scars left on the gods, a scar on a god…
Gods are nearly impossible to scar.

"Why have you come today? Many universes you can explore with your powers, yet you choose mine constantly…" Alya began with a bit of tiredness in his voice, his self esteem constantly dying off after his banishment. NaN gently held his head, "It's because I love you, Chellam. Nothing more to it." her gentle gaze calming him down, her soft voice and her aura. Without her, he might have lost his mind in this universe. She knows that, he knows she does… with her she brings peace… near her, Alya feels at peace. His regrets all forgiven, and with her he gets to feel love once more.

How he wishes she would stay with him forever.

Notes:

NaN does not like being referred to with a respective title by the other gods due to the fact that she's simply a minor god. She does it with them because they are higher gods than her.
